It's really good, it being brought back from the grave was handled very badly. It mostly has fans as adults since it's more adult for a kids movie for it's themes. It being more adult with it's themes is why it bombed on release but developed a cult following.
>Hal! Please don’t do this. I know there’s still good in you, Hal >You’re so naive, Roxy. You see the good in everybody, even when it’s not there. You’re living a fantasy. There is no Easter Bunny. There is no Tooth Fairy. And there is no Queen of England
>Create a hero? Wait, wait…what? Why would you do that? >So I have someone to fight! Minion, I’m a villain without a hero. A yin with no yang. A bullfighter with no bull to fight. In other words, I have no purpose! Now, ask me how I’m going to do it. Go on. Ask! >(sighs) How are you gonna do it? >Hahaha! I’m going to give someone, I don’t know who yet, Metro Man’s powers. I’m going to train that someone to become Metrocity’s new hero. Over here, follow! And then finally, I’m going to fight that hero in an epic battle of good and evil, which will put everything back the way it was, when the world was perfect. And rosy
>You dim-witted creation of science! >(on the phone) What? >What? Oh no, not you, Roxxane. No, I was just yelling at my... mother’s urn
>Oh, I’m glad you’re here. Wait, how did you get here so fast? >Well, I uh. I happened to be speed walking nearby when you called >In a suit? >Uh-huh. It’s called, formal speed walking
I love DreamWorks sometimes
I'll be honest, I don't like how people treat Megamind. Like, he's locked up for the crime of being blue and landing on a prison and he's treated like shit by everybody throughout his whole life, and yet neither Metro gay or the citizens of Metro City ever have to answer for how THEY basically turned him into a supervillain.
>Kung Fu Panda 1 is the only DreamWorks movie directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne. They left the company after KFP1, not being interested in a sequel and wanting to do other things (Mark went on to make the CGI/stop motion Little Prince movie)
Truly a shame
>nature vs nurture >survivors bias >guilty by association >entitlement vs genuine care >burnout and expectations >duty over personal gain >camaraderie >hero gets the girl cliche >reform and reintegration
it is a good movie, depends on what you value if you agree with its themes
…is Shrek 2
Shrek 2 is awful.
Joy! The summoning was successful!
Annoying designs.
Is this actually good? I always see this film now.
>Wastes his time on Cinemaphile but too busy to watch a movie for 90 minutes
have a nice day
Go watch it and come back here later

Cringe
I love how Megamind just forgot about him. Only got rehidratated by accident.

>oh you're a villain alright, just not a super one
>oh yeah what's the difference
>PRESENTATION!

Wait, this ISN'T a badly disguised Schafrilas obsession thread?
Frick Schaffrilas.
I dont get why Schafrilas of all users, when a bunch of people have made videos about Megamind even before that user in the first place.
>goes over Tony Khan clean for over a year and counting
This movie actually brings back the original spirit DreamWorks had in the early 2000s with movies such as Shrek, El Dorado,PoE, Sprit, and Antz
>Spirit
Kinda dull
There are no other DreamWorks movies like Antz and the first Shrek.
