it depends on the amount of the episodes they'll get: 8 episodes (so the same amount from season 1) aren't enough for covering the entirety of alabasta
it depends on the spread
if they try >episode 1: logue town >episode 2: laboon and whiskey peak >episode 3 and 4: drum island (sorry little garden Black folk your arc is getting cut/merged with drum island) >episode 5, 6, 7, 8: all alabasta
then its doable

Logue town, the laboon meeting, whisky peak, little garden and drum will most definitely be reworked to pick up the pace of the saga and focus completely on the alabasta conflict and baroque works as the main antagonistic force, I wouldn't be surprised if also the main agents get more screentime and are introduced earlier to build up the fights in the capital.
They already changed important things with garp, buggy and arlong, during season 1 so they will do the same for S2
i mean, they can squeeze the actual arc of alabasta in only four hours but it won't be good: one of the (two) biggest gripes that i had with season 1 was that the real emotional arcs from east blue were just swept through a couple of episodes like arlong park and baratie. alabasta is the first big, BIG arc of the entire manga and even having a couple of extra episodes to properly develop it would reassure me that they learned from their mistakes
if they had 10 episodes instead of just 8 that would make a world of difference
apparently s1 had 10 episodes early but they had to cut it down to 8 for unknown reasons (potentially budget)
the unknown market value for a live action adaptation of a popular anime definitely was the reasons for cutting the initial amount of episodes down, i am almost sure that the writer or the producer for netflix piece straight-up said that they planned to have logue town in season 1 and there are even photos of the sets that they built that supported this online.
anyhow... considering how successful the first season is for its standards and that one piece has pretty much replaced dragon ball as the de facto legacy anime for burger normies then netflix must really like to shoot themselves in the foot for not giving them a round number of 10 episodes for season 2

They'll probably also have Buggy play an active role in the Alabasta arc, given his popularity last season and since he pretty much disappears from the story after Logue Town and doesn't become a significant character again until Impel Down
My current headcanon regarding season 2 is that oda is forcing dorry and brogy to appear in the show, based on the current developments of the manga >usually a costly production gets an easy season 2 renewal, and depending on how it's received, it gets more or less money, to justify the production. It needs to be a complete disaster to get canceled right away like Cowboy Bebop, but remember how even CB writers were already working on season 2 before the premiere so it's certain there must have been discussions about OP season 2 during late 2022/early 2023. >dorry and brogy have been out of the story for years, last time they appeared was during a coverage story during fishman island, and it showed them still fighting in little garden >that means that, during the time the emperor saga took place, someone must have gone to LG, get the giants, cross the red line and travel across most of the new world to have them at elbaf right as kidd shows up >then after killing kid, they must have set sail right after that to arrive the day after to help luffy in egghead
My point is that, before they were reintroduced in the manga in early 2023, oda and the LA team must have had a discussion around that time, and someone probably suggested cutting the giants because they are not really relevant for the overall story, so oda brought them back to the manga, almost as a plothole, to justify their existence for the show
I think it's more likely he will be working with or for crocodile this time, to tie the baroque works organization as a constant presence across the whole season, maybe cutting his henchmen and replace them with BW agents
They'll cut him and have the confrontation with Mr 3 take place on Drum instead of Little Garden.
Whiskey Peak will get cut and reworked into Little Garden somehow.
late 2025 at the earliest
why is usopp's hair wrong? why couldn't they give him a goofy fake long nose? shit show. they also butchered his already shit arc by taking out django
They tried the fake nose and said it looked dumb
>why is usopp's hair wrong? why couldn't they give him a goofy fake long nose?
More importantly, will it follow the anime route and increase Nami's tit size and put her in more revealing outfits as the series continues?
So what next season
>Logues town
>Laboon
>Chopper
>Baroque works
>Crocodile/Alabaster
Seems like a lot
yeah alot of filler also that can easily get cut

I dunno how you do laboon and whiskey peak in 1 episode tbf
Do we know how they're doing chopper yet? Feel like it's gonna be hugely costly.
I assume they'll skip the sky islands and go straight to Franky/CP9

They could have Baroque works show up at Logue Town I guess
Nami cute butt
>no half black half indigenous lesbian in a wheelchair
literally shaking rn
there was a season 1?
>put a cute white girl in your shitty show
>massive hit
What did we learn from this?
cum in rudd
Season 1 was shit but I don't mind that more people like it
Who's playing Nico Robin?
>here's your robin bro
not official but the showrunner follows her on insta
fug forgot pic
Is she autistic too?
Her power gonna be brutal given they just straight up murder people in live action. She will just snap necks
I thought it was Millie Brady.

I hope they don't cut Wapol as the villain for the Drum island episodes, like they did with Don Krieg.
they'll probably cut him because his devil fruit is just too outrageous to work in live action
yes even more than luffy's fruit
