It confounds me why they thought One Piece would make a good live action adaptation. The appeal is in the cartoonist character design, goofy expressions and not to mention the combat being ridiculous and outlandish. I haven't seen a single still of Luffy using his rubber powers and I know it's because it looks fricking awful. Cowboy bebop made way more sense than this. Or go for one of the many sports shonen or something.
I haven't seen it, I said stills. Did that shot inspire confidence in the quality of the show? The Manga/Anime are filled with stuff that only works in those mediums, the best this show can hope for is that the cgi doesn't look dogshit, it won't have any of the charm or fun from the originals.

That's a loose adaptation of an LN, the aesthetic of anime is usually what hamstrings live action versions so not having to deal with that is a huge boon.
Reminder: don't watch Netflixs adaptation, they're woke trash who hate fanservice and don't have the balls to sexualize female characters, theyll censor every Nami outfit, theyll censor every Robin outfit, theyll remove any and all lewd fanservice scenes, don't support woke trash or theyll keep making trash without female nudity nor female lewdness
There are 1085 chapters currently in one piece and this show that’s taken over a year to make covers the first 46, which is about the amount Oda writes in a year. It would be impossible to catch up before the ending, ignoring the fact cancellation and delay are likely
