Jon Kent and Damian Wayne at least stayed with their respective superhero family groups until they crossed over. But Lizzie? Why didn't she debut with Steve Trevor? Cass? Diana's Mom? or any of the Wonder Woman characters? It's because Tom King/DC had no faith in this character, and had to be carried by the Super Sons. They wanted their young trinity so bad that they rushed it.

First Wonder Girl: Literally a young Wonder Woman.
Second Wonder Girl: Oops, Bob Haney fricked up and didn't realize "Wonder Girl" is a young Wonder Woman, so he put her on the Teen Titans and she had to be retroactively explained as a new character. The beginning of the mess that was Donna Troy.
Third Wonder Girl: Perez came up with Vanessa Kapatelis, the daughter of an Archaeologist and very clearly intended to be the new Wonder Girl. Perez got fricked over by his successors, including Byrne, who came up with Cassandra Sandsmark, the daughter of an Archaeologist who becomes the new Wonder Girl. She had some fun moments in Young Justice at least, before Johns turned her into a typical annoying young hero.
Fourth Wonder Girl: Tom King somehow does a worse job Wonder-Girling than Haney, Johns, and Byrne.
This is a bad character. A hugely egotistical attempt to have a distaff counterpart to Damian and Jon, but with a worse and more shoehorned character (which is saying a LOT).
