Basically, yeah. I'm not saying whether this instance is "legit" or not, I don't care. They were a blatantly condescending butthole towards me the one time we interacted, even getting a friend to join in on belittling me, and they deleted all proof the next morning. The subject? I said that its not impossible for a woman to be in the cartoon/animation/comics world, that sexism isnt isn't literally everywhere, women and men are equal etc (I don't argue on the internet anymore in case that isn't obvious, this was years and years ago). The person who said I was wrong, that "be quiet, the adults are talking" then got their own bestselling comic and show. I could make a joke that they transitioned to prove "I was only successful because I'm a guy after all."

There's more to this comic right? I'm wondering how depressing of a read it is - Stevenson's recent comic have just made me think she badly needs a new therapist.
Unfortunately there's a lot of quack shrinks around despite having official diplomas and passed all the mandatory courses.
But I'm sensing it's because those that are good at their job are both expensive and can pick & choose clients at their own will.
Meanwhile the general populace are stuck with varying degrees of incompetent ones.
Which just goes to show how underprioritized and neglected mental health research, education, qualification and control of those working in that sector really are.
If therapists were as well trained as doctors they would be as rare and expensive as doctors. If 80% of the population need a therapist, it simply doesn't scale. Our society is sick at a fundamental level, and no amount of "mental health investment" can fix it. We're at the lethal dose of chemo.
Having read it I think she still wants to be non-binary but claims if she has to 'fit in a box' of man or woman she'd prefer man. Like I really hope she had a therapist in all this cuz it just sounds like self-loathing to me. Her wife is still with her which surprises me - most relationships don't last transitions and Molly doesn't seem particularly loyal but at least she's there for now.
