Nothing says the complete opposite of True Detective than Green Lantern. The GLC aren't detectives, they're peacekeepers/sheriffs.
Honestly surprised they didn't just give him slightly less baggy pilot gear with gloves and the Green Lantern colors/logo. Shit would have been a million times cheaper
Earth One GL is probably the best way to do it.

Maybe a lot of the movie could have been saved in the editing room. Ultimately the final fight didn't live up to all the build-up before it.

All they had to do was adapt Secret Origin. That's laterally it.

Sinestro wants to harness the yellow energy of fear because it's the only way to defeat parallax. Except since Hal is the super special best Lantern ever chosen one, he can beat Parallax within a DAY of getting his powers after only having 30 seconds of training. So obviously fear power isn't hot shit.
So why does Sinestro decide to use it anyway?
