Dont blame me, blame Bessie for handing the baby to Otis instead of Daisy right after it was born. The inly possible explanation is she was paying hommage to the leader of the barn, Otis, with the first encounter of the newborn, but Bessie just began to respect Otis, I don't think she would have chosen to hand it to Otis instead of Daisy, her only surviving friend from their original home farm.

Nope, for reasons I can only assume are not wanting to tie Otis down and make him completley change into a serious Ben-like character, they got rid of his love interest and her son that made Otis so happy he saw the stars dancing just like Ben said. Abby works as a sort of love interest but they start back to square one.

Not a lot of comedic potential with a mom and her son is my guess. They really went all in on the wacky comedy, so any mention of those two, Ben and Dag went out the window.
