It is extremely fricking good. I stumbled on to it and watched it out of boredom & honestly it is now one of my favorite movies. It puts Braveheart to shame.
>They actually look like proper Scotts and not a bunch of axe hobos
>The heraldry is appropriately on display
>They actually fight in formation with pikes against English cavalry
>They actually wear helmets
>The city walls/castles and castle interiors are beautiful
I can't recommend this movie enough. It's rare that a Netflix original is even good let alone me considering one one of my favorites.
It's All Fucked Shirt $22.14 |

It's All Fucked Shirt $22.14 |
I know I've watched this but I can't remember a single thing about it.
Not even Douglas the Black screaming his family name while killing the English?
Not even Stephen Dillane's performance playing King Edward?
>I AM SO SICK OF SCOTLAND
No, I genuinely don't remember anything even after you telling me what I assume are the memorable parts. I've never experienced this with any other movie. I'm scared.
Chris Pine is one of those actors that knock it out of the park in every movie he shows up in. I'm yet to see a movie where I didn’t like him
Yea I watched Hell of High Water just before seeing this and he was awesome in that one too. Ben Foster too. I feel like Ben Foster is criminally underrated.
Him and ben foster did another movie together where he is an operative in europe and everything goes to shit. I can’t remember the name but it’s pretty good
yea i was just looking at that, The Contractor.
looks like i got my movie to watch tonight lol
NTA but the ending is conspiracy kino.
>Hell *or High Water
Yes, even the Tom Clancy one he did was only watchable because of him.
His role sucked massive dick in that DnD movie, thats the closets it came to me not liking him. But it was mostly the horrible feminized character hes playing more so than his performance
Eh he was playing a classic bard character thats present in literally every single rpg game ever made. The worst part of the dnd movie is the ending to the story that was super underwhelming and the main witch was a total let down of a final showdown
He does do his best even in the kinda shit movies he's sometimes in. Weird watching him go from fresh faced in nuTrek to a fully grown man who can really act now.
Bottle Shock is pretty bad, though I wouldn't put the blame on Pine exactly.
Post times you acted like the Outlaw King
I had a gf I didn't have sex with for almost two weeks once
And yet
>they fight without formation in every fight
>desecrated church law by attacking the praying English man at chuck
>Modern moralism projected to medieval period film
>armour dosen't protect rom swords or even wooden sticks
>they fight without formation in every fight
wtf are you talking about they literally form a spear wall when fighting the English cavalry
>desecrated church law by attacking the praying English man at chuck
the church murders are addressed multiple times as terrible deeds that harm Roberts honor
>Modern moralism projected to medieval period film
I'm gonna need an example.
>armour dosen't protect rom swords or even wooden sticks
sure in like 1 or two background fights. but they stress on multiple occasions when drilling the new recruits on how to bypass english armor after dehorsing a Knight
the Bruce only killed Comyn at the altar. the other church killings are the Black Douglas's doing
the deluge 1974
>Chris pine
>Steven dillane
>Pugh slampig
Uhhhh kino?
Bonus: no forced diversity
There is a black woman tending to a food stall or something in the London bizarre and she's only on camera for like 3 seconds tops. feels good man
actually i think it was Edinburg not London
Pugh was peak in this movie. I would topple an anglo cuck empire to eat her ass lovingly.
Don't get my wrong if i were 16 i would liked this movie a lot ( I still like Breveheart). But we realy should start creating realistic and historicaly accurate films depicting the peroid, it's customs, fashion, culture, warfare, and historical facts without modern moralism, it's not fair and it teach's nothing and don't entertain
It is does all of those things better than Braveheart. And don't get me wrong, this is not me shitting on Braveheart, I still love that movie too.
>wtf are you talking about they literally form a spear wall when fighting the English cavalry
It was only use of any kind of formation through whole film. In other fights they run in chaos
>desecrated church law by attacking the praying English man at chuck
Bruce was excuminate by church, but in the film his man slay some english man.
>Modern moralism projected to medieval period film
It is good to appose the church and killing of the emenies who are praying is justify because we hate the existing customs
>armour dosen't protect rom swords or even wooden sticks
It didn't work in anny scene
Japaneese can actually make great historical kino. Go watch heaven and earth (1990)
they were running in chaos because they were losing. and yes. i will watch that.
I can only say that is sad, that we in Europe or even us can't create real historical kinos anymore.
>it's a weeb
>it's always a fricking weeb
Piss off back to posting your hideous plasticized bugwomen in every thread you subnormal berk.
>DOUGLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS
Scottish propaganda.
warwolf kino
So you mean to tell me the people in that castle just sat there idly for the months it took to construct that trebuchet, and the trebuchet was made in such a way that it would totally be able to accurately hit that castle
History is literally fake and gay
>So you mean to tell me the people in that castle just sat there idly for the months it took to construct that trebuchet
Yes? Sieges took months or even years in some cases. It was always beneficial for the defenders to stay in the castle. In the castle, they held the advantage in battle, and they could stall out the enemy while waiting for reinforcements, a treaty / agreement with new terms, or for the enemy to rout andor have their morale break
gay and bait
>History is literally fake and gay
Its the fricking war wolf you historylet moron
They were under siege, where are they gonna go. You know what a siege is right?
And yes siege engineers who were obviously mathematically flawless would construct it in such a way it would actually work and hit the walls.
iirc war wolf was the most expensive siege engine ever built at the time.
Why are you so aggressive and mean? You're acting like a war wolf
Bravo Nolan
Beginning was good but it devolved into a generic love story, squandered opportunity
ok but is there any black people in it?
Yes there are Black folk for 5 sec for sake of diversity. And it's a least of problems of this film
there's a single black woman who's in for like 3 frames and she's a background character in a market
it was moronic how they let the english king go at the end. IRL they would have captured and ransomed him, ESPECIALLY considering they had chris pines wife
It's medieval kino, and a nice companion if you want something more historically accurate than Braveheart. Can't believe this movie got panned, the rating on Rotten Tomatoes used to be at like 40%.
bad movie made terrible by florence pugh
BraveHeart Was Better
