DC is a complete failure compared to marvel. And they still haven't brought the XMEN in yet

Both are silly when you go back to the source material, DC just failed to adapt it to the big screen. Aquaman pulled it off, but it was a pretty average movie

I enjoy the DCAU but find the portrayal of Batman and Superman in it to be nihilistic and stoopid.
Forreal though. If MARVEL bought Batman, Superman, New Gods, the Charlston characters, Captain Marvel(the real one), and maybe the OG JSA characters(Fate, Midnite, Sandman, etc.) DC would be so fricked

wrong on both counts, DC cuck. Unless the Flash we're talking about is Jay Garrick.

Joker and Riddler. Also Batgirl and Harely Quinn. I don't even know if Marvel got any equivalent of these.

MARVEL buying Batman as an IP solves that problem

Animated series and animated movies DC is better. Live-action movies Marvel is better. Live-action series they're generally the same.

not even true anymore. I liked the Iron Man, Spider-Man and X-Men cartoons just as much as Batman and Superman, and I like EMH more than JL.

He's not wrong about the speedster thing. Who is a better one at Marvel? Quicksilver? The last time he was interesting is when they made him date his sister.

Wally West is pure, unadulterated kino. It’s staggering how much better a character he is than Barry.

Barry gets milked because he's the "original" (as much as Hal Jordan is the original Lantern)

              Anonymous

Hal Jordan has better stories than Alan at this point but I kind of liked the original magic aspect of the ring. They turned it into a sci-fi trope with Hal because that was all the rage in the late 50s.

speedforce gays are worse than sonic gays. The oedipal conflict Pietro has with his dad is a thousand times more interesting than "I need to go back in time...to save...*destroys the universe*"

I did like Kid-Flash a lot too. Alright, I was wrong about one Flash, but lets face it, DC has forgotten what makes them great. pic related could never happen today. They've lost sight of the baseline Americana that makes these comics so enduring. Marvel is fricked too, but slightly less so, and for a slightly smaller amount of time.

Swamp-Thing is in a completely different league than Man-Thing. And as far as I’m concerned, the Spectre is a vastly superior character to Dr. Strange.

Spectre is kino but I don't see much of a comparison with Strange. Dr. Fate is a lot closer to him.

It's not much of a toss up, Spectre is better. With Dr. Fate, it's hard to tell. I'd say Strange has better stories overall. There have been too many Dr. Fates over the years and no one was as interesting as the OG Kent Nelson.

I just find the whole mystical cosmology of DC more interesting. To my knowledge, Marvel’s never had anything to compare with characters like Dream or limited series like “The Books of Magic.”

                Anonymous

For example, this derpy-looking dude and his sword and revolver could conceivably kill Superman, not because they’re magic in the conventional sense, but because they’re even more fundamental than that.

                Anonymous

DC magic is more esoteric but MARVEL cosmology and religion is more beautiful imo.
Galactus is Kirby inverting the fall of Lucifer thru the Silver Surfer. A fallen angel, steering mankind away from God's intentions. Trippy shit for a kid's book.

Man-Thing mogs the frick of Swamp Thing on account of the horror storytelling is better. Only thing Swamp Thing has going for it is the message, which is gae. The character you'd compare to Strange would probably be Zatara or like Mandrake the Magician, not Spectre or Fate.

Wondy's got it over Black Widow and Captain Marvel.

        >Wondy's got it over Captain Marvel.
        sure
        >Black Widow
I got two cheeks that say otherwise. Also Valkryie mogs Wonder Woman. Diana is an empty costume.

DC has Batman and Superman and that's it. Snyder already fricked up both of them so it was a dead universe. Marvel has nobody on the heights of those characters but they make up for it with a stronger overall cast.
