I like how Jeramie never got the idea in his head that making a legend where humanity needs to unite to kill the evil Bugnarok may potentially cause people to be xenophobic against Bugnarok. This dude truly is just the king of fumbling the ball

he's gonna be responsible for whatever shenanigans that will bring Daigo to Chikyuu, isnt he?
I'm not quite sure what Jeramie expected
Maybe he was just trying to tell the story as accurately as possible, but what else would be the outcome of a legend that tells of how the Bugnarok tried to take over the world? Of course people are going to resent them even if they'd never met a Bugnarok before
Maybe the story was changed over time by the people to remove the part about the sixth hero marrying a Bugnarok woman as a means of letting people know they're not black/white evil.
Mister subtext apparently forgot to add an entire appendix or prologue about how there was an entire third faction or group that sewed division between humans and the bugnarok which led to the conflict
This is why motherfrickers need editors
this. why didnt Jeramie mentioned his mom and dad on the story? hell! are we sure jeremy's dad really was considered an outcast for wanting to marry a bugnarok woman and having a son?
we are talking Mr. Magoo levels of shortsightedness here!
>Bro they still killed your parents
Did they really? I don't remember anyone mentioning what happened to Jeremy's parents beyond being erased from history.
It's ambiguous, though Jeramie's version of events seemed to imply they died. Knowing him, they could still be alive and he didn't realize he needed to clarify that.
I don't like this development, that a big part of the story hinges on a single dude being extremely moronic, and adding even more onto the pile of Jeramie's frick-ups.
Eh. We know Jeramie wrote the legend that way, but we don't know why. Jeramie himself might have just unknowingly canonized already existing propaganda about the original human vs Bugnarok conflict, since he was just a child when it first happened.
To be fair, this is only relevant in the context to Jeremie's goals. The other kings don't mind him and probably do think it'd be nice if they didn't need to live on a constant defensive line against the Bugnarok, but it's not something they're getting their hopes up about either. The big plot's probably moreso going to revolve around the third party who caused the calamity in the first place.
>To be fair, this is only relevant in the context to Jeremie's goals
Umm no? The fricking human vs. Buganarak conflict is a core part of the central story.
>The other kings don't mind him and probably do think it'd be nice if they didn't need to live on a constant defensive line against the Bugnarok
There was a whole arc that revolved around the kings distrusting or outright wanting to kill him because of the misunderstandings and the shitshows he caused, they're only okay with him now that he's cleared things up.
I'm hoping they all get a moment like in this webm where they all get to pollute chikyuu with noise by saying the same line all at once and cycling through all their faces. actual kino whenever its done
Jeramie continuously realizing he's a total frick up and trying to make up for it by doing everything by himself and fricking things up WORSE is as hilarious as it is sad
A much needed episode for flushing out the Bugnarok, we got sprinkled hints of Dethnarok's motivations back in 9 but since then the bad guys of the season have been taking a back seat to Hastie drama.
Dethnarok has always held my attention though among their ranks, even more so than Kamejim who I just kind of assume will eventually betray him, he's a schemer but Dethnarok interests me in how active he is. He's fought the King-Ohgers (especially Jeramie) personally more than almost any big bad in recent memory, hell he's fought them more frequently hand-to-hand than his MOTW's on average. He has limitations that he seems to be trying to overcome but still has a good threat level, no one's beaten him one on one except Jeramie who only ever seems to give him superficial damage in the end.
But I liked how this episode worked on pathos for him and his species as a whole. The Bugnarok aren't mindless but they are suicidality driven, they aren't afraid to die and will sacrifice anyone and anything to accomplish their goals with the assumption they can just replenish their numbers. They hate dwelling in the underground it seems and were seemingly forced there by humans, and don't even believe in the ancient tales they once tried to conquer the world so believe themselves to be the wronged party which fuels his hatred for humanity.
Dethnarok commenting on how the core of Terra was "so bright" while he plunged into it really humanized him. Such a cool moment for a character that so far was just hatefully angry most of the time, like he was expressing weakness or even fear. I hope he still gets some exploration next episode instead of just being a giant monster that dies screaming.
that comment from him, it felt like he has been longing for the light of the outside world. like a warm welcoming light (nevermind the fact that specific light is the freaking center of the earth thats gonna cook him at GODKNOWSHOWMANY degrees.).
deathnarak has been on the surface world before, but i guess since he has to fight someone or being on the run, he has never gotten the chance of truly bask on the light of the surface. hence him actually wanting to see the light, with the earths core being the closest to that light.
> the fact
fact what? you literally see him wrecking havoc in the next few minutes >but i guess since he has to fight someone or being on the run
What? You saw him multiple times looking down on a mountain laughing or insulting human while doing nothing

>Dethnarok envies the light of the surface denied him and his race all his life >Finds the core so beautiful because at heart it's all he really longed for
that cuts deeper than I expected it to.
I think Dethnarok is too far gone to be redeemed with what he's done but if he has a child in Dethnarok the 9th, I hope they get a better life
I'm sure the plot will force a convoluted reason for him to go back to his shtick
He will probably still go "MWAHAHAHA" when he gets too nervous or needs to act more "kingly" but it seems that at least with his population and the other kings he can be himself.
I feel bad for Dethnarok. I really, reaaally hope they change his mind and he doesnt die. Give the bugs citizenship and let them live in the kingdoms like humans can, and maybe get their own bug kingdom.
I really wanna see a scene with Dethnarok laying there defeated but alive.
>jeremy gives a speech about peace and unity >jeremy extends his hand out to help him up and waits >dethnarok lays there half dead thinking it over >he reaches out and takes jeremies hand
This but more sympathetically.
I DO feel bad for Dethnarok now, he and his entire race seems to be a victim of circumstance whose hatred for humanity could have been avoided, the Bugnarok's very nature is defined by millenia of exile beneath the earth and their values are vastly different and some of their grievances may be legit
But Dethnarok is too far gone. Even if he does change his mind there's too much blood on his hands to just be accepted back into the fold, he would need to be judged accordingly. But like I said earlier if he has a child (Dethnarok IX) I have high hopes they can do better
This but more sympathetically.

Desnarak doesn't even treat his own people well, he deserves no sympathy. The Bugnarak deserve a good king, not that piece of shit.
Wait, if Jeramie was around for 2000 years ago, but clearly Dethanrok Eight was not, does that mean that regular Bugnarok aren't immortal but hybrids are?
I hope the final boss is a Bugnarok AND a human. I don't really want a "bugs dindu nuffin, humans are the real monsters" ending, having the events be orchestrated by an evil bug AND an evil human would be better.
But not if there's also an evil human. That shows kids' race doesn't show you what evil. Because they worked together to make racism and teach kids they should be suspicious of us vs them propaganda.
>I hope the final boss is a Bugnarok AND a human.
The final boss is gonna be Punished Jeremy after getting mindbroken from all his failures, ironically succeeding in uniting humanity and bugnarok by giving them a mutual enemy and fulfilling the criteria by being a hybrid.
>Jeremie was the source of all this bs, once again.
So you're saying that Kingohger's plot is just one big MISUNDERSTANDING
>MISUNDERSTANDING
I mean we're already one step in with knocking people into notrivers, twice already.
Did Inoue ghostwrite this season?
Because it sure feels like he did.
I like how Jeramie never got the idea in his head that making a legend where humanity needs to unite to kill the evil Bugnarok may potentially cause people to be xenophobic against Bugnarok. This dude truly is just the king of fumbling the ball
Jeramie once again reminding me of Noel.
Jeramie is Noel done right.
What was even the point of Noel?
>local hafu discovers he invented racism
he's gonna be responsible for whatever shenanigans that will bring Daigo to Chikyuu, isnt he?
I'm not quite sure what Jeramie expected

Bro they still killed your parents
Unless the twist will be that humans did that too.
>Bro they still killed your parents

It's ambiguous, though Jeramie's version of events seemed to imply they died. Knowing him, they could still be alive and he didn't realize he needed to clarify that.
His human dad is probably dead, due to the virtue of being 2000 years ago.
I don't like this development, that a big part of the story hinges on a single dude being extremely moronic, and adding even more onto the pile of Jeramie's frick-ups.

I'm legitimately happy that all these actors get to take a turn in the wienerpit gear.
I'm hoping they all get a moment like in this webm where they all get to pollute chikyuu with noise by saying the same line all at once and cycling through all their faces. actual kino whenever its done
I love this. It drives home the point that a king isn't anything without their people.
I wonder if this means that God King-Ohger appearing will be a rare and special occurrence.
That would help it being revealed early. Make it something special in universe that is only saved for final boss level threats
poor guy
He's a strapping young lad, he'll be fine.
https://twitter.com/phoniex43k_yoh/status/1690569510364098560
>God King-Ohger can still walk
That's fricking insane. Usually they'd start rolling around on platforms by this level of clusterfrick.
God I want to have a threesome with them
he should've been in shinkenger.
>Jeremie is the cause of everything
What a dumb fricking b***h.
Wonder if Deathnarok or his predecessors ever attempted to make peace with humanity only to fail because of the legend
they should have invited a certain taiyaki guy
That /krg/ poster still doesn't know it's taiyaki not takoyaki.
JERAMIE-SAN!
I thought it’d just be a silly episode based on previews but it ended up being quite dramatic by the end
Jeramie continuously realizing he's a total frick up and trying to make up for it by doing everything by himself and fricking things up WORSE is as hilarious as it is sad
Is there any other sentai member in the franchise that has continued to frick up as hard as Jeramie?

Deathnarok the 9th would be a cool Extra Hero/7th member for when they're fighting the actual main villains
>dethnarok kyuusei
kyuranger crossover to repel kyoryuger from chikyuu writes itself
How do you respond without sounding mad?
>im sure ishabana's the one in charge of airing that, we dont even have tvs.
Offer her a private screening at my place
Brag about my collector's box set that I got before the scalpers until she seethes.
so is Gira done with the tyrant king schtick?
we can only hope
I'm sure the plot will force a convoluted reason for him to go back to his shtick
He will probably still go "MWAHAHAHA" when he gets too nervous or needs to act more "kingly" but it seems that at least with his population and the other kings he can be himself.
I wonder if it is intentional/meaningful that Dethnarok's title "(Hassei)" sounds similar to the "Hastie" surname.
it just sounds similar.
the Husty surname must be some insect species like all the other names.
I feel bad for Dethnarok. I really, reaaally hope they change his mind and he doesnt die. Give the bugs citizenship and let them live in the kingdoms like humans can, and maybe get their own bug kingdom.

>jeremy gives a speech about peace and unity

That scummy piece of shit is gonna die like all the other pieces of shit he sent to murder innocents.
This but more sympathetically.

Will Gira forgave Racules for His Crime?
If Jeremie becomes King of the Bugnarok he will technically become King of all of notearth, but just all of the underground of it
Wait, if Jeramie was around for 2000 years ago, but clearly Dethanrok Eight was not, does that mean that regular Bugnarok aren't immortal but hybrids are?
Deathnarok 8th could around for 1900 years and Jeramie would still be older than him.
Dethnarok the 7th may just have been killed in combat. The bugs were having a civil war in their exile after all.
I hope the final boss is a Bugnarok AND a human. I don't really want a "bugs dindu nuffin, humans are the real monsters" ending, having the events be orchestrated by an evil bug AND an evil human would be better.
It's going to be a third party enemy faction or something which is connected to the event prior to the exile of the sixth hero.
I mean, that would be a really bad lesson if it's "bugs dindu nuffin" and the villain is a bug
But not if there's also an evil human. That shows kids' race doesn't show you what evil. Because they worked together to make racism and teach kids they should be suspicious of us vs them propaganda.
I hope the final boss is Moffun.
So, Jeramie becomes what Gira was LARPing as?
That would be absolutely great.
Crazy good episode this week
For once the term crazy good is used correctly on this board
>Jeremy not thinking about what he wrote for half a second, accidentally inventing human/Bugnarok racism
Don't you just hate when that happens?
