It's funny and comfy. It also is canon. Tommy gets put into a mental hospital after 5 and gets out at the beginning of 6. There were even gonna be returning characters from 5 at one point.

Jason X is one of the funniest movies of all time, but it's not the same genre, so it's arguably unfair to compare it.

6 blends the comedy and horror into a coherent whole. It's 5 done right.
Earlier films were funnier without trying so hard. 6 was a bunch of gay slapstick and cartoon humor, it was like a kids movie

Perfectly executed genre parody. People are just mad because they expected a straight horror movie.
It's such outrageous shlock, it becomes a masterpiece in this category. Although Leprechaun 4 is a superior "XYZ in space" horror twist. But I'm biased, since Guy Siner rephrasing his role as Lt. Gruber stole the show for me. And I'm realize most of you zoomer fricks have no clue what I'm talking about.
