this. get paid millions of dollar upfront >invest millions >live off interest and dividends
why is a strike happening again. give me one million and I would be set for the rest of my life.
Hi, it's me, your old buddy Dick Miller. You might not know my name but you have seen my face. I'm what you call a working actor, and there are thousands of us that do bit parts for a living. We don't in fact make millions of dollars up front. The strike is benefiting guys like me, so go frick yourself
This is actually what some of the smarter ones have done. They don't need to work in order to make money any more - Jessica Alba for example invested money from acting into a startup company that is now worth billions of dollars (and she herself well into the hundreds of millions), more than she ever would have made from acting. And now she still acts off and on for fun, while knowing she is set for life.
She got in, got her money, and now she can separate from the majority of Hollywood bullshit.
>it paid artists
yes because artists have the rights of the song split with the record lablel , in a lot of cases is the artist that made the music/lyrics too, and spotify pays them royalities for streaming their music.
Actors/writers are different, first they don't own the right of the work. Actors are people paid for acting, and writers are people paid for writing, they are contracted workers, they don't own the ip and don't even have any right to own the ip, the royalities most likely go to the original creator, and the profit goes to the production house, streaming is totally different too, since in a lot of cases the production house owns the streaming platform that gets the right, and even if it does, the streaming site pays for a fixed license to get the movie. Actors and writers deserve nothing for it, if not we need to pay royalities to the construction guy that helped building the stage too, since they are basically the same thing
No, and get this: they don't even have UNIONS
CGI people especially work 20 hour days under ridiculous deadlines for slave wages comparative to even an extra
>Hey bro, just finishing hooking up your electricity! Just so you know, I'll have to charge you every time you turn on the lights or operate any appliances.
They're as disconnected from reality with this kind of shit as Lars was when he was b***hing about being broke in the early days of piracy, and people are reacting the same way they did to Lars.
I was in the other Hollywood apocalypse thread talking to Anons but it archived while I was responding. If anyone is still around:

I don't think it's a conspiracy in that sense, as some giant AI training exercise. I know for a fact a load of employees at the corporate level are already using AI to write copy and that sort of stuff to save them time. Marketing people are gonna be some of the first to go when corporate entities realize how much time and money they can save. I personally think AI is going to change our society even more than the internet will, we are just seeing it play out in the entertainment industry first.
But in all frankness, I think it's utter incompetence and the fact these woke buttholes live in a bubble where they think the world is all the exact same as LA County. They have NO life experience. I cannot tell you how much it infuriates me to find people who have never traveled or been to other countries, yet are """writers""" who are shopping scripts or work in rooms on shows. It's way more common than you'd think. There's a lot of bizarre racism too. The self-hating white thing is very common. Women are the big transexual proponents - privately men all know it's a joke but can't publicly say shit because they'd lose their jobs.
This all being said, I think the writers and actors are right to dig in on the AI issue. They are totally fricked, and everyone else along with it, if they give into studio demands on that front. Now, the mandatory writers rooms shit? That's a terrible idea and not something I support at all. The more writers on a project, the worse it becomes almost always.

I hope this city burns down because of all these strikes. If it takes me losing my career so we can get kino again, I am for it.

Robert Eggers is so great that he shouldn't be in the industry at all. That's a dude with genuine passion.
Frick off, nepotist hack.
Whatever, it was a stupid dream. Hope all the A listers and shit, die. Frick off too.
How I wish I could minecraft your A lister hacks.
I will actually be surprised if this movie gets made. Nobody at Disney is ready to absorb another bomb and this is shaping up to be the worst one of the live action remakes.
I want Hollywood to die out of sheer sour grapes. I could never make kino, a person like me? They would never let me. Line up these nepotists and kill em all.
unless she signed the shittiest contract ever, with all of her pay coming from backend, then no she shouldn't receive a cent after production ends.
She's brown and therefore fortunate to not be served up as a human sacrifice in some jungle.
disney really knows how to pick them
she’s israeli colombian
>Twatter account
>golemtalk
>pronouns
>itoddler
She deserves to have her legs and arms broken then thrown into the Hudson, y'know for trans rights!
zero evidence.
what a hero! the trans are lucky to have such a hero on their side using them for attention!
Actors are paid obscene amounts, literal millions of dollars. More than what most of the world makes combined for just one gig.
this. get paid millions of dollar upfront

Frick off with your "blue collar actor" garbage. You don't have to be an actor. Go be something else.
You're not making any money because you are dead, Dick.

In 2013, Spotify revealed that it paid artists an average of $0.007 per stream
>it paid artists

>when mentally ill people disconnected from reality try and negotiate pay
kek I want them to starve to death so badly.
She deserves what she consensualy signed up for.
Leftoid gigabrains even provided me with perfect picture for that.
This will go nowhere. People don't support actors fighting for residuals because 99.99999% of people don't get them.
do the people who build sets or do the CGI get residuals cause honestly they are more important than 99% of the actors
No, and get this: they don't even have UNIONS
CGI people especially work 20 hour days under ridiculous deadlines for slave wages comparative to even an extra
IATSE is union.
They should pay me too. I also would like more money. I refuse to star in any movies until this occurs. Thx.
lmao so like $15?
Nobody is gonna watch even an hour of her shitty movie before turning it off.
>So since I fixed your fridge, I'm going to require a fee for every item you put in it.
money is a white invention and should be boycotted by blacks
>Hey bro, just finishing hooking up your electricity! Just so you know, I'll have to charge you every time you turn on the lights or operate any appliances.
He doesn't get that money, the power company does.
which is their point
Do you think he really misses his kids?
This is why they push for leasing when you get Solar installed. You're on the hook for TWENTY YEARS.
imagine what could have been
kks needs to hang for his crimes
>Hey man, toilets unclogged and good to go! That'll be $30 an hour labour plus $1 per flush until forever.
They're as disconnected from reality with this kind of shit as Lars was when he was b***hing about being broke in the early days of piracy, and people are reacting the same way they did to Lars.
aka THIS IS NOT HELPFUL for you homosexuals.
Do these people think they'll ever get hired again after shit like this? Lol. Some nobody actor is easily replaceable
DOO DOO BROWN WANT GIBS
I actually agree, writers and actors should be paid based on how much the content is streamed, not a flat rate.
I suspect that this will quickly improve the quality of scripts we're getting.
No, she's saying she deserve to paid per hour it's streamed whether anyone watches it or not.
GIBZ ME DAT SHEEIT israelite BOY
I really don’t won’t 58 minute movies.
Why not?
>Zegler’s comments on the picket line were shared by End Wokeness on Twitter
Is this what passes as news these days
yes, since that twitter account probably gets more daily views than news channels / sites
>I see you ordered some clothes from us. First try-on is on us, afterwards it's PPW (Pay-Per-Wear)!
What about the construction workers who built roads, buildings, and bridges being paid every time someone uses them?
does the guy that bagged your groceries get paid every time you have a glass of milk
no, but he should, and can tha ks to block chain technology
>literal who that I've never seen or heard of before this film is demanding money for every hour
lol
lmao even
>this was the actress DCgays were shilling for months
This b***h is running her career into the ground at warp 9
Disney should renegotiate her contract and then release to dvd only and not put it online.

I would almost agree if 95% of writers do nothing but write trash. Honestly, AI couldnt do a worse job than most "writers" out there.
Frick this c**t desecrating snow white and starring in a liberal propaganda mockery of it.
I hate socialists and strikers.
I'd give socialism a try in a white country with no israelites.
So no place that will ever exist on earth. Congrats.
Communism would work in an ethnostate, I agree. Not in this divisive country run by nepotistic fricking psychopaths no way

I'm loving this b***h
See what happens when you employ dirty brown water trash
You will get what you signed in your contract. Demanding more is entitled, not 'entitled'.
