The problem is the people making comics. The hot-blooded horny straight guys are outnumbered by the influx of women and gays over the past decade, they either want beefcake or effeminate-looking boys, they have no interest in cheesecake, and can't really do it well even if they try. The industry needs to be dominated by straight horny nerds again for things to really improve.
