He seems like a fun boss that takes the girls out for pizza and shit after each extermination. As long as they're a good and obedient Exterminator girl Adam is like the a fun uncle to them.
That idea came from the early leaks involving his character. While those leaks mentioned that he was a misogynist, I don't think that ended up getting all that much focus in the final episodes, though.
I assume the basis of the idea came from some myths on Lilith. According to them, Adam and Lilith were unable to get along because they saw intimacy as a power struggle, and neither of them was willing to play a submissive role during sex.

Here's another one. One of the many reasons why people guessed Vaggie used to be an exorcist was her name. According to the leaks, it looked like Adam had named his soldiers after women's genitals.
While a couple of leak lines did get used in the show, this stuff ended up cut.
I thought the leaks sounded really bad, but ultimately Adam did end up having an entertaining presence. He hit the right kind of a balance where a douchebag character is fun rather than annoying. His dynamic with Lute was better than I was expecting, too.

I’m the son Anon, and it’s a mix of 2 things for me, one my brother killed himself when I was 16 really fricked me up for awhile but mostly I remember my dads face at the wake and him asking me if he was a good dad. That broke my heart more than I thought it could break. I know it’s cheesy and said too often but honestly you don’t realize the impact you have on other people. I’ve met strangers that knew by brother that talked highly of him some that talked low and with all that I saw an impact left. The other thing is my son is special needs so even if I did end it and let my wife take the reigns fully I don’t think she’d be able to juggle work and him alone it’s a challenge, but I see him laugh and smile and recently he got into Randy Cunningham 9th grade ninja him saying smoke bomb brightens my day. He’s only 3 and hardly talks at all we’re going to a speech therapist for it twice a week, and 2 other times they show up at his daycare to see him as well. Basically if you feel like shit you take a breath think out the good and bad and weigh out your options. Get sad that’s fine put pick yourself back up laugh it off flip off the sky and keep struggling.

The first man is a fundamentally interesting concept, it is hard not to feel like it was squandered when there are so many directions they could have gone with it.
Viv is a shit writer so it wont happen but Adam coming back and they make a genuine effort to redeem him would not only benefit the show but just prove the message
Unlike every other character whos getting redeemed (Sir Pentious, Angelsut) he isnt a victim or a confused good boy, he was a genuine shit head and we see that, so him ending up in hell (which is also an awesome writing moment that would have tons of drama and character conflicts like with his main girl lute) and getting redeemed would prove the message theyre going for even more

This terrifies me yet gets me excited to see Michael so much. It’s perfectly in character for him. Hell, he could pretty much be the calmer Vergil of DMC. Michael’s presence alone should send shockwaves through all the realms since he hasn’t been heard from in such a long time.
You know, I kind of hope that if they ever bring Michael into the series, he's one of the good angels. Maybe not at first, I could see him coming down fully expecting to smite Lucifer and Charlie for killing angels, but once he sees the Hotel and that the two of them are genuinely trying to make a difference, he'll understand that they acted out of self-defense and be willing to extend them a pardon, maybe even outright support and encouragement.
I feel like he'd be pretty uniquely positioned among the highest angelic pantheon to be able to totally understand why they did what they did and get fully behind the hotel. He strikes me as pretty level-headed and fair when presented with all of the evidence, and I think it'd be fun to give Charlie an uncle-like figure that's on the angelic side of the fence and genuinely just wants to see her succeed.
Plus, it'd be funny to see him be snarky with Lucifer, since I'm almost certain that he'd be teasing him about how he could've been doing something like the Sinner Redemption program at the hotel for CENTURIES now and he just never thought to do it/got too depressed to.
In short, moreso than just Badass Michael (which is definitely essential, he needs to Judgement Cut somebody or I'll riot), I think Chill Uncle Michael would be a very fun direction for the series and his character, if they ever choose to add him, and I think he'd slot nicely into that role.

once you are above a certain level, everything to you looks like a triffle. Why would you punish a lesser being for being arrogant? Its lesser, and it will remain lesser. He seems like a pretty straightforward narcissist to me. He's usually aloof and only bothers to interact when he needs something or wants attention. Charlie calling him up out of the blue provided him with a distraction from his boredom, so he was elated to talk to her. He didn't seem to really care at all about her problems or ambitions, but was happy to be the center of attention so he rushed on over when she asked him to. Classic narcissist behavior.

He can ask her for anything else, and there's no expiration date. One thing I really liked about Viv's interpretation of Lucifer is how he's the only one really suffering in Hell as punishment.
Him seeing the humans he gave up everything in heaven for to give free will, choose to be absolutely awful people and wind up there is just a perfect punishment for his sin.

He didnt die trying to protect someone or something, he wasnt gaining time so the rest can scape, he didnt give up his soul so the team can perform some anti angel magic, he died trying to kill Adam, and he failed. There is no sacrifice there. He deserved be the first redeemed, but i dont see a good reason for that here.
That person he sacrificed himself trying to kill was the literal ringleader of an active genocide who was currently in the middle of trying to kill all his friends and was vastly more powerful than all of them combined.

Sir Pentious' death was semi-dramatic. Not gonna lie I wish he got to fire the laser and at least do some damage to Adam before being exploded. But it was treated with mourning by the cast rather than as a complete joke.

Nah. Adam started off as over the top obnoxious dudebro but he leaned so far into it, committed so hard to the douchiness, that it actually became funny. Over the span of two 5 minute scenes he went from being a caricature of a manchild misogynist to a confident alpha male living his best life. Literally throws Charlie out on her ass while playing a guitar solo after upstaging her song with his own much better song.
Normally when these types of characters are introduced in feminist shows they wind up humiliated and whipped, at the end of episode 1 literally the exact opposite happens. Adam goes the entirety of season 1 without any comeuppance for his attitude, the closest he gets to contrition is when the Seraphim tells him to rein in his gloating, but even then he ultimately gets what he wants and gets to go back to exterminating demons.
Even his death is a suitably big spectacle instead of him being chastised by a team of strong women working together to overcome his patriarchy he gets clobbered in a manly man-to-man fist fight with the king of hell, dies with a frickin smile on his face.

Yeah, but Lucifer is literally a dumbass loser who ended up in hell for every good reasons. So even though he is supposed to be likable, I do get a sense that Vivziepop wants us to look at him as a delusional butthole, like Alastor, and the Vees.
Since of all sins, Lucifer is the worst person of them all. Mammon accepts that he is an butthole. Lucifer denies it and acts like a humongous hypocrite whenever he is back to the corner, especially with Adam. For how strong he is, Adam has everything Lucifer desires in himself. And it’s because of Adam that Heaven is a wonderful place of true love and reunion, instead of Lucifer’s hell.
Lucifer’s hell is not to Adam and his heaven, because Lucifer’s “improvements” ended up destroying the world, and so Lucifer gets exactly what he deserves. No. Adam is coming back soon. His arc is based on Jesus Christ. The Story of HH is about Adam, the first man, remaining as the perfect sinless man who would die a sinless death to save his children from Hell.

So when we have a new character it's great plus he and pentious were the only two newish ones we got more info on. An in adam's case he's mostly right and a fairly known figure in mythology/theology depending on the person. So adding context plus him just being overall fun and the least boring and basic viv character it's fun. He doesn't have all the cringe tumblr shit that some of them exude at times.

If you watched episode 5 he clearly states how his people are just awful and he doesn't care for them. So why would he get involved in saving them then?
It’s foreshadowing Adam’s true intentions (dying to save his sinning children) instead of the assumed intentions of (he’s trying to get back on Lilith and Lucifer).
And in the fight between him and Lucifer, we see it play out with Adam winning in death and love on his face and Lucifer being pissed off and unstable.

Adam is a mix of both envious but also proud his number 1 girl is the boss now and is basically Blitzo but more likable and not a homosexual.
I can see Adam getting into a lot of antics in Heaven now that he doesnt have a job to keep himself busy

She sort of gave up any hope of controlling Alistor when she struck a bargain with him. She was naive enough to think that because he wouldn't order her to hurt anyone that the bargain is harmless.
I never really got what Alistor's game was but it's starting to make more sense. His teasing of Lucifer was essentially gauging just how much he actually cared about his daughter and what lengths he'd go to in order to help her. It turns out Lucifer would do quite a lot for Charlie. Which means by binding Charlie in a deal, he's effectively bound Lucifer. He promised to harm no-one, but he can still use that bargain to extort Lucifer to give him something.
He also made Charlie more willing to trust his deals since this one had immediate gratification. I think he might try to actually swindle her soul at one point and then use it to blackmail her father under pain of crushing it.
That very idea makes charlie's plan horrific because it could lead to those that are terrible being forgiven to easily and those that worked hard to reach paradise be scrutinized. Basically viv wants her cake and to eat it too. Most writers if they want to make heaven look bad goes the route that either heavens empty or that heaven is mind controlling or sterile and bland you can't do anything. But if Viv goes this route it'd mean you'd need to work hard to stay on heaven's good side if you lived right but then if you are a pedophile you can just say sorry and hug a kitten and go up and be next to the kid that's life you ruined.
I mean, no angels died forever, and only demons worthy of redemption ascend on death, millions die for good regularly.
Thus an angel would have to be evil on death to deserve a fall from grace

I think it's more that angels have inherent advantages over demons, and angels have a rigid hierarchy of power and authority. Even rank and file exorcist angels are a serious threat to high ranking demons, so much so that even overlords avoided confrontations with them, believing them to be impervious to harm. Adam is much stronger than his subordinates, so add that to his natural advantages over demons and it makes sense that no demon in hell could stand before him.
Lucifer, it should be noted, is not a hellborn demon. He's a fallen angel. So the single biggest advantage that angels have against demons doesn't apply to him. Furthermore, because angels can be killed by their own weapons, it means Lucifer is innately capable of killing angels with nothing but his fists. It's simply a matter of power, and in the hierarchy of angels, Lucifer was quite powerful before he fell.
Normal people will view Adam as a good guy but its clear Vivz intended it to be "Devil is le quirky and misunderstood dreamer goofball and Adam is an arogant and backwards thinking bigot!"
No. In the finale, VivziePop shown us that Lucifer is an enormous butthole who caused so many issues and pain for Adam, while Adam himself was actually a wonderful person who truly loved Lute and spent his entire journey trying to save his children from being in Hell.

Adam has so many reasons to hate Lucifer in this show. He is more likable here, but he’s ultimately someone that fully deserves his fate of being in hell. Which is actually a pretty cool take on Lucifer that makes you absolutely despise this dumbass. Alistor's used to being in control. He loves it in hell, it's his element, because he's a manipulator who thrives on carnage and suffering. So it figures when he goes up against a being of pure good empowered to smite evil he finds himself poorly suited to the fight. He can't swindle or intimidate Adam so there goes like 90% of his hell-based power, all he has left is brute force and demon magic is so ineffective against angels that even the overlords all assumed angels were invulnerable until Carmilla killed one using their own weapons.

I think the immortality thing was an error in the translation, right? What I think God actually said is that "You are marked so everyone knows who you are and if they try to kill you they will suffer your fate tenfold" or something along those lines, basically assuring Cain that he won't be murdered for his sin.
The show was lousy and rushed as hell which isn't surprising. I'll forget about it eventually in the two or three years it takes for season 2 to come out, and I don't think I'll bother watching it if the story is still this poorly told and no actual writers are brought in to put the director on a leash. I’m the son Anon, and it’s a mix of 2 things for me, one my brother killed himself when I was 16 really fricked me up for awhile but mostly I remember my dads face at the wake and him asking me if he was a good dad. That broke my heart more than I thought it could break. I know it’s cheesy and said too often but honestly you don’t realize the impact you have on other people. I’ve met strangers that knew by brother that talked highly of him some that talked low and with all that I saw an impact left. The other thing is my son is special needs so even if I did end it and let my wife take the reigns fully I don’t think she’d be able to juggle work and him alone it’s a challenge, but I see him laugh and smile and recently he got into Randy Cunningham 9th grade ninja him saying smoke bomb brightens my day. He’s only 3 and hardly talks at all we’re going to a speech therapist for it twice a week, and 2 other times they show up at his daycare to see him as well. Basically if you feel like shit you take a breath think out the good and bad and weigh out your options. This terrifies me yet gets me excited to see Michael so much. It’s perfectly in character for him. Hell, he could pretty much be the calmer Vergil of DMC. Michael’s presence alone should send shockwaves through all the realms since he hasn’t been heard from in such a long time.
You know, I kind of hope that if they ever bring Michael into the series, he's one of the good angels. Maybe not at first, I could see him coming down fully expecting to smite Lucifer and Charlie for killing angels, but once he sees the Hotel and that the two of them are genuinely trying to make a difference, he'll understand that they acted out of self-defense and be willing to extend them a pardon, maybe even outright support and encouragement.
I feel like he'd be pretty uniquely positioned among the highest angelic pantheon to be able to totally understand why they did what they did and get fully behind the hotel. He strikes me as pretty level-headed and fair when presented with all of the evidence, and I think it'd be fun to give Charlie an uncle-like figure that's on the angelic side of the fence and genuinely just wants to see her succeed.
Plus, it'd be funny to see him be snarky with Lucifer, since I'm almost certain that he'd be teasing him about how he could've been doing something like the Sinner Redemption program at the hotel for CENTURIES now and he just never thought to do it/got too depressed to.
In short, moreso than just Badass Michael (which is definitely essential, he needs to Judgement Cut somebody or I'll riot), I think Chill Uncle Michael would be a very fun direction for the series and his character, if they ever choose to add him, and I think he'd slot nicely into that role.

once you are above a certain level, everything to you looks like a triffle. Why would you punish a lesser being for being arrogant? Its lesser, and it will remain lesser. Now, if there is a slight amoung of doubt about it (like with the overlords), you will try constantly prove to everybody that you are, infact superior. He seems like a pretty straightforward narcissist to me. He's usually aloof and only bothers to interact when he needs something or wants attention. Charlie calling him up out of the blue provided him with a distraction from his boredom, so he was elated to talk to her. He didn't seem to really care at all about her problems or ambitions, but was happy to be the center of attention so he rushed on over when she asked him to. Classic narcissist behavior.

One thing I really liked about Viv's interpretation of Lucifer is how he's the only one really suffering in Hell as punishment.

Literally throws Charlie out on her ass while playing a guitar solo after upstaging her song with his own much better song.
Normally when these types of characters are introduced in feminist shows they wind up humiliated and whipped, at the end of episode 1 literally the exact opposite happens. Adam goes the entirety of season 1 without any comeuppance for his attitude, the closest he gets to contrition is when the Seraphim tells him to rein in his gloating, but even then he ultimately gets what he wants and gets to go back to exterminating demons.
Even his death is a suitably big spectacle instead of him being chastised by a team of strong women working together to overcome his patriarchy he gets clobbered in a manly man-to-man fist fight with the king of hell, dies with a frickin smile on his face.

She sort of gave up any hope of controlling Alistor when she struck a bargain with him. She was naive enough to think that because he wouldn't order her to hurt anyone that the bargain is harmless.

I never really got what Alistor's game was but it's starting to make more sense. His teasing of Lucifer was essentially gauging just how much he actually cared about his daughter and what lengths he'd go to in order to help her. It turns out Lucifer would do quite a lot for Charlie. Which means by binding Charlie in a deal, he's effectively bound Lucifer. He promised to harm no-one, but he can still use that bargain to extort Lucifer to give him something.
He also made Charlie more willing to trust his deals since this one had immediate gratification. I think he might try to actually swindle her soul at one point and then use it to blackmail her father under pain of crushing it.

I think it's more that angels have inherent advantages over demons, and angels have a rigid hierarchy of power and authority. Even rank and file exorcist angels are a serious threat to high ranking demons, so much so that even overlords avoided confrontations with them, believing them to be impervious to harm. Adam is much stronger than his subordinates, so add that to his natural advantages over demons and it makes sense that no demon in hell could stand before him.
Lucifer, it should be noted, is not a hellborn demon. He's a fallen angel. So the single biggest advantage that angels have against demons doesn't apply to him. Furthermore, because angels can be killed by their own weapons, it means Lucifer is innately capable of killing angels with nothing but his fists. It's simply a matter of power, and in the hierarchy of angels, Lucifer was quite powerful before he fell.

What I think God actually said is that "You are marked so everyone knows who you are and if they try to kill you they will suffer your fate tenfold" or something along those lines, basically assuring Cain that he won't be murdered for his sin.
The show was lousy and rushed as hell which isn't surprising. I'll forget about it eventually in the two or three years it takes for season 2 to come out, and I don't think I'll bother watching it if the story is still this poorly told and no actual writers are brought in to put the director on a leash.
