the fact that you can type in coherent sentences means you're not an autist and are in fact an assburger.

Why? it's the same exact thing

assburgers are "high functioning" and aren't the same. nobody who calls themselves autistic even knows what real autism is like. real autists literally can't function in the real world. they can't talk to you at all. they're stuck in their own little world and the real one barely registers to them. i knew a kid in high school with an autistic brother, we went over to his house once and his brother (who was 15 years old at the time) just sat at the dining room table playing with lego duplo blocks for hours. he only just barely acknowledged his mother's existence on the numerous times she had to remind him to use the bathroom, prepare him for dinner, etc. actual autists are only one step up from comatose vegetables. everyone else "on the spectrum" is just a dumb sperg coping because they're too weird to fit in with normal people.

Who the frick thought it was a good idea to roll all these diagnoses into one? Now a literal genius rocket scientist can have the exact same diagnosis as a mute moron. It's way too confusing for normies, everybody has different ideas and expectations of what autism is now.

This is me but I actually do have diagnosed autism (and ADHD). There is no way it's just autism, I'm dysfunctional in ways that aren't symptoms of autism. Sometimes I wonder if I'm just a guy with ADHD and a personality disorder, and that the autism is a misdiagnosis (I got the PDD-NOS diagnosis, which means I lack a significant amount of symptoms).

Autism is literally just a word that encapsulates any and every identifiable social abnormality. It doesn't actually mean anything. For most people, it's just lazy terminology to marginalise and excuse a lack of social development.

Quirky personalities aren't psychiatric disorders, good examples of psychiatric disorders are hearing voices that aren't actually there (schizophrenia) or being attracted too the same sex (homosexuality). Every homosexual who claims to be autistic who isn't also a drooling moron (real autistics) is just a special snowflack who wants attention for being not-like-the-other-zoomers. We've encouraged a pathetic attention prostitute culture in our youth.

I remember when we were in grade school they took us to special ed class to show how normal they are.
They were nonstop screeching or slamming stuff and everyone was terrified, girls were asking when we can leave. Real non meme autists are terrifying, they are like demons.

Kek I had my 7th grade math class next to the special ed class, through one of those shared walls with a door. All day you just heard yelling and banging and usually always smelled cookies baking because I guess they had an oven for the wranglers to make tendies and shit for the tards and keep them out of the lunchroom.
Best part was whenever someone would answer something wrong, we'd all chant to have them thrown into the "moron room" and our teacher couldn't get us to shut up.

Same. I literally got fired from my last job because I assaulted my autistic coworker. I just couldn't stand the guy, everything about him, from the dandruff covered hoodie he wore every day to the patchy hair on his receding chin, screamed "slap me in the fricking face". Anytime he started talking about fricking League Of Legends (a game nobody else in the office played or gave a frick about), all I heard was "punch me, please just fricking punch me already". After a while it was like he was screaming it in my ears. So in the end I did it. I hope he learned from it.

As someone diagnosed with Assburger, and without generalizing every person with autism, I can say for myself that many individuals with Asperger's have a problem with overestimating their opinions and can also be bigoted, which often comes off as arrogant. We often can't help ourselves; we not only often have problems correctly judging if a behavior is appropriate or not, but also if our statements are correct or not.

I despise the picture that gets distributed about Asperger's as some kind of super genius who knows everything better. This is not helping people with autism. If this is what the scene wants to convey. There is also the possibility that the girl also just wrongly judges her behavior, due to already named problems.

Hello. I am currently waiting for a proper diagnosis and have passed the screening stage so I definitely show signs of autism (high functioning). I mostly just obsess over Spock right now. For me some signs are a sensitivity to loud noises, stress, change, poor motor skills, difficulty reading people and showing interests in normie things. My special interests are a huge part of my life. I am bio female but my brain is more logic or male oriented which led me to almost fall into the tomboy to trans pipeline as a teen. Understanding female hierarchies and subtle combination is difficult so making female friends is difficult. I believe a lot of ftm people are just autistic and I'm glad I didn't go down that route.
