>random shirtless guy can hunt down a spiderman who has fought with and against the avengers, random aliens, multiverse villains from another spiderman's world and Thanos himself
lol
Gyllenhaal's villain was white. All the avengers fighting him in civil war were white. Multiverse doc ock and gobby were white. Frick knows who else I'm forgetting, oh right, that Vulture fella played by famous black actor Michael Keaton.
Brainlet take. Comic sales are irrelevant. Even when they sell "well" they bring in next to no revenue. Comics only exist to hold IPs for more moviebux and all the associated merchandise normalgays consoom.
Sony has access to all of the Spider-Man universe including its villains.
They’re trying to squeeze out every single dollar they can out of it.
If Marvel owned Spider-Man, Morbius, Venom, and this movie would never happen.
the positivies: >Chandor has a pretty good track record
MC and AMVY are ultra-giga-kino, TF is a solid action flick, haven't seen the other two, but AIL is praised by many >ATJ is talented and has strong screen charisma
was the best part of that shitshow Bullet Train >the DP shot Banshees of Innisherin and he and the editor have capeshit experience
Dr. Strange, Eternals and GOTG1&2 respectively
the negatives: >Chandor is the sole screenwriter on the 3 great films he's famous for (MC,AIL,AMVY), but did not write this >the 3 listed screenwriters are most likely typical studio hacks
the first two's best work is Iron Man, followed by schlock like Bay's last Transformers, the shitty MIB reboot, and Uncharted. the other's work is almost entirely action, with the biggest films being the Equalizer franchise and Expendables 2 >Sony's execs are the by far the most brain-damaged in Hollywood and they're bound to have meddled with the film
it probably won't be as bad as Morbius, since Chandor has experience, name recogntion, and hopefully a backbone. i'm thinking best case scenario we get something on the level of Triple Frontier, but it's likely to be closer to the level of Venom (standard studio slop made watchable by the lead)
it honestly looks fine, i am tired of capeshit but it could be a fairly good action flick that just happens to have the capeshit label on it like winter soldier
>Kraven
How many times is the movie going to explain who this guy is to the 99.999999% of the population that has never heard of him before? I feel like we might need at least one recap in the third act.
>directed by JC Chandor
Man, they roped another decent director into making this slop?
>JC Chandor
didn't this homie open the gates to paranormal entities to go to manhattan
It will make easy billy
sony needs to give up the spiderman ip
To who? Disney and Warner are failing miserably right now
>random shirtless guy can hunt down a spiderman who has fought with and against the avengers, random aliens, multiverse villains from another spiderman's world and Thanos himself
lol
None of these men where white.
Gyllenhaal's villain was white. All the avengers fighting him in civil war were white. Multiverse doc ock and gobby were white. Frick knows who else I'm forgetting, oh right, that Vulture fella played by famous black actor Michael Keaton.
>JC Chandor
He's a good director, why is Cinemaphile shitting on him already?
because the writers are awful
So why does every two bit Spider-man villain need a separate movie now?
It's what the current runs are doing so they need to cater to a wider audience and hope they sell a few more comics.
Brainlet take. Comic sales are irrelevant. Even when they sell "well" they bring in next to no revenue. Comics only exist to hold IPs for more moviebux and all the associated merchandise normalgays consoom.
Prove it.
No.
I accept your concession
>reddit stockphrase
I can't wait for your gay little protest to be over.
I have already accepted your defeat, you may exit left.
Because why make Spiderman movies when you can lease out the character to Disney and make a bunch of movies about Spidermans enemies instead.
Sony has access to all of the Spider-Man universe including its villains.

>shirtless white man this will sell out movie
And they are right by all counts. Finally it took a bit but we are healing.
>shirtless white man
He's not white but it doesn't matter, he's a good actor.
Whiter than you.
Whiter than you too.
I also accept your concession.
I accept yours too.
Accept this
>unzips dick
I reject these 2 concessions.
accepter than you

Why take turns? You grab my hand and I'll grab your hand that way it ain't gay, I'm jerking me off and you're jerking your off.
>literal the who
this will make less than morbius
I think on meme value alone it might do a little bit better

this movie will probably do better if people don't know it's capeshit
Finally, the iconic anti-hero Kraven with years of issues in his own comicbook is getting adapted!
it honestly looks fine, i am tired of capeshit but it could be a fairly good action flick that just happens to have the capeshit label on it like winter soldier

Hey look it’s Cinemaphile‘s smarter brother
