I have no idea what Rippaverse is but I never got the appeal of Lackadaisy. Or rather, I understood it to be aiming for a very specific audience that I'm just not part of; so I'm surprised how smoothly the funding of the project went.

From what I can see the appeal of Lackadaisy is simply grounded characters from the Prohibition Era represented as furry anthro cats. That's it. Since I don't care about that old ass era from American history Lackadaisy does nothing for me. If you proposed to make movies like Godfather right now about the Italian mafia they wouldn't be successful and since Prohibition Era is even older and more out of date the premise holds no worth. Only furries give a damn about this concept.
And even if the characters were modern, I would hate Ivy little miss nothing bad happens to her because she's White Knight homosexual protected by Rocky, Freckle and Victor and even the local serial killer character (Mordecai). Freckle is the typical beta loser yes man and his crazy personality is just random rather unfitting like they are desperate to make him stand out by revealing he has an unhinged side. And then there's Rocky who manages to be crazier like truly legit schizophrenic but his brand of crazy is simply annoying. And these are the central main characters. If you don't like them you won't enjoy Lackadaisy. Hope this series is a failure. Just because this is what the indie scene has to offer does not mean this is any good.
