It really encapsulates the zeitgeist of the 2000s internet when things were a lot more wild west. There were no algorithms and way less moderation and it felt like you never knew what was going to come next. Compare it to today when YouTube is just people trying to make as much money off of as little effort as possible and it feels like a different world.
