Physical media is an antiquity for stone age knuckle draggers. You HAVE renewed your Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Paramount+ subscriptions right?

guess no one is buying all the slop they make now
best buy isn't going to be selling any small items anymore because they've basically converted into an appliance store now, they'll probably be out of gaming completely in a decade.
My Best Buy closed down completely a few months ago and now it's a Big Lots. I think they'll be out of consumer electronics within 5 years except maybe TVs and stereos.

Makes me feel weirdly sad. Anyone else?
i remember all their homosexual employees buying up the playstation 1 and 2s back in the day then reselling them for double or triple the price to people in the know. frick that fricking store
For me, it's the false advertising they pulled during thar episode of Nathan for you
DVDs and BDs are almost always cheaper on Amazon anyway. I can't even remember the last time I bought a new DVD/BD from a physical store.
When physical media actually dies out I will just buy more hard drives and go full data-hoarder. I already have over a terabyte of movies on my PC that I seed continuously.
Paying for movies.
I would never set foot in Best Buy. Not even to rob it
I forgot Best Buy even existed. I assumed they went bankrupt like Circuit City did
If OP wasn't a homosexual and had bothered to read, a tall order I imagine, only the retail stores are going to stop selling physical media
Nah, they're getting rid of them on the website too.
I tell ya man, best buy itself has been on a downward directory. Used to work there in 2015/2016 and things were pretty good. Now you go into a store and it's like a ghost town. Will be a shame when they inevitably go bankrupt, but I've been shopping at microcenter for my needs the past few years.
Still leaves Amazon, Target, and Walmart in the space. Gonna suck losing Best Uy because they usually had the better sales.
Wasn't Target planning on phasing them out too?
They've scaled back stock in retail stores but nothing yet on stopping all sales
this is funny because Target/Walmart will now get a bump in their sales
Best Buy is moronic
Not really. Stocking a product is a out cost versus profit and the costs of sticking physical media seems to be not worth the profit anymore. Plus Best Buy has been on a downward slope for a while and just recently closed hundreds of stores. They're simply trying to stay alive now
Blurays are literally the only reason I've stepped into a best buy in the past 2 years.
physical media is passe now and women will laugh at your shelf of funko discs
>caring about what women think
The good: this means Best Buy will be selling a ton of Blu rays at clearance prices soon
The bad: They won't be selling them anymore afterwards
going to the record store was so much fun
yeah i imagine doing anything like this was fun when the music mattered and wasn't fricking horrible
Can't have record losses from shoplifting if you don't have anything to steal.
Idiocracy is real.
Video games used to have manuals, cool art, a map, reversible covers, that shit was an experience. Everybody used to smell the manual for that good shit, but I found that inverting the case and wearing the reversed case and popped up cover as a mask was where it's at. Sometimes I just look at the art on my case and see if there's any smell left for fun
What do DVD's have? The DVD case is purely functional, so it's no loss
