Was it? Did you have high hopes for it or something?
Yeah.
It was mostly boring and the art wasn't that good. A lot of the comic was about superhero movies, and I don't care about those.
It also had this child-like approach to many things, including optimism, which I thought would have made the book pretty sweet, but it got old fast. I didn't like any of the characters.
It's cool that the creator is a nice guy, but his comic was disappointing. He'll probably get good eventually if he keeps at it.
>A lot of the comic was about superhero movies, and I don't care about those.
I don't care about those either, but the story is about superhero movies.
The comic fumbles just about as much as every comic book.
Explain
I tabled with the creator at a convention. Nick is a really great guy. We chatted about unmade sony spiderman films and he gave me some secret comics that he only hands out at conventions to hand out to my friends. Pink Lemonade is a beautiful comic if you ask me and I'll always support his work.
I thought it was comfy.
It might have been better if the interiors had this color scheme.
you're not allowed to say that
Why not?
What's it about?
It's about 160 pages.
No, really.
It's kind of like the first Gwenpool if there was no Marvel shit attached to it
Not quite. There's no awareness factor and Pink Lemonade is all about spreading positivity and sort trying to find out who she is.
Gwen killed people, and was more about surviving in a comic book world while having fun.
Ok, might pick it up.
I hope you like it, because it was a waste of time for me.
It's about tree fiddy.
It's a lot like Allred's Madman.
I'll give it a read.
The Daria and Jane cameo made it an instant win for me, among other things
>The Daria and Jane cameo made it an instant win
That easy, huh?
No need for the snark, it just wasn't a shoutout I would have expected.
To me the positivity feels earned because it feels like it came from a place of love for comics and disdain for big media companies taking advantage of that sort of thing. It wasn't just positive for the sake of it but trying to stay sane in the face of all the shenanigans. Works for some and doesn't work for others, I guess
It reminded me in some ways of the following:
>Paradax!
>Zenith
>Madman
>Tom Strong
>Jack Staff
I liked each of these significantly more, in one way or another, than Pink Lemonade, most importantly entertainment-wise.
All Oni books are pretty bad.
What about Scott Pilgrim, Wasteland, and Sixth Gun?
Point proven?
Point taken.
One positive is that it reminded me of this song.
>I'm screaming, I met you this way
