Yeah look at how she’s crying when pinky gets all excited. She might be the dom but pepper is essentially pinky’s plaything. Look at how earlier she talks about she views sex as a self-harm ritual that pinky draws pepper into, and then realize that’s exactly what she did with their suicides.
She gave her life and it was just to be an ironic parody of Millai's Ophelia, typical female behavior.
Well, the reason for this death and piece do reflect Ophelia herself in a way. And it's kinda nice how a bath was used as well, because it ties is in well with Pinky's character, the setting and also a nice reference that the painter used a model in a bath while painting his Ophelia piece (kinda like Pepper then does too I assume
)
Pinky finally become a real artwork to be admired.
I'm at this point of the comic and I'm getting such whiplash. We started with two dogs in hell eating human flesh and now it's a SoL to dog gfs struggling in college that have bondage sex. So I guess the hell and reaper shit was just a gag?
Yeah if she did it in actual water she'd pretty quickly start turning to a reeking mush. Though, she left her face exposed, anyway. I get she couldn't exactly resin her face and it wasn't the aesthetic the piece was going for, though.
People sad?
There are literally people that stare at junk in art exhibits thinking theyre works of art but crap a janitor sets out.
People getting stabbed on stage and audience think its part of the show until later.
I’ve literally only seen the cover in passing before, and I didn’t think there was any more or that it was a full comic. I think maybe I halfway assumed it was a weird album cover or something.
if it keeps people from comitting suicide, believe that, but most of the time "artists" like this just make their art and are instantly forgotten, a lot of it isnt good
>but most of the time "artists" like this just make their art and are instantly forgotten, a lot of it isnt good
To me that's a sad thing. Despite living in this modern era, with all this knowledge of different artists and cultures, a majority of art coming out today is complete crap. Maybe it's a symptom of the greater problems in society?
Yeah it's hard to forget >This artstyle looks like it's from 2008 >MLP Gen 4 is 11 years old, so there's actually a pretty big span of time for works to reference it
And this comic is from like 2018.
The Pinky and Pepper dolls were actually a low selling toyline that came first. The author/artist was somehow inspired by these dolls to make this story.
She saw these toys and was inspired to write this story about them.
But a story about a crazy couple who go to hell because of art and bdsm and lesbianism and...frick it's just so out of nowhere. I seem to recall this story is pretty infamous too, so I'm double confused as to where it came from.
My guess is schizophrenia or drugs were most likely responsible for inspiring her.

>Drugs lol
IAs crazy and surreal the story is, the message isn't that too hard to read: Obsession over your creation will destroy you.
If I had to guess what inspired her it was probably burnout. She was probably some art student who got into debt into a big art collage or maybe some self taught nobody who has had that feeling of trying to make "the perfect art piece they'd be remembered for" and reazlized what an absolute nightmare it is trying to get into that state of mind.
It's like Whiplash but with dog lesbians.

One side of it but I also see it as a good example of an abusive relationship. It’s an unreliable narrator but Pepper is so brainwashed she doesn’t see it as anything but love overcoming everything. Meanwhile Pinky is emotionally abusive and even manipulated Pepper into going to Hell just so she wouldn’t be alone.

I say she made it.
Infamy in the art world is just as good and people for some reason are freaking out over her comic and are still spreading it even years after she created it.
She made her perfect piece by just being upset enough about it.

Schizo this, schizo that stop pushing this fricking shit it's pretty straightforward... Lesbo who grew up christian kills herself because of all the guilt after her manipulative art school girlfriend does the same out of insecurity...
So if I want to make a vore comic I just need to set it in hell and I can include all the imagery I want. Noted.
Since the thread's about to die? What's some more shit like this? You know, schizo shit about trash people made by trash people, with little traditional art skills. Usually made with crayons or like, food coloring or something. REAL indie shit. Don't say Megg Mogg and Owl, everyone already knows that one.
Limiting it to real indie shit that uses traditional art supplies and released in physical media seems impossible. If you expanded it to online webcomics there's a lot of mind fricky stuff out there but good luck sifting. The infamous ones are also run into the ground these days. Not many new sources of entertainment.
The Pinky and Pepper dolls were actually a low selling toyline that came first. The author/artist was somehow inspired by these dolls to make this story.
What the frick did I just read. It was weird but also kinda nice. Reminds me of a dog version of cat soup. Has a lot of that old 80s indie Manga feel to it. Like you can feel the pain of the author and sadness but it's pretty cute and interestingly drawn. Is there other things from this author?
The art being unprofessional and not the best kind of adds to it. If it was streamlined and don’t correctly I don’t think it would have the same feeling.
Yeah it has a punky guerilla kinda feel to it. Very rough around the edges but it gives it character. Reminds me of the 80s indie Mangaka Nekojiru. A really sad and lonely lady who drew weird and trippy cat art about death and suicide but made it cute. She ended up killing herself after living in deep depression. The anime cat soup was based on her art. But her art itself was a lot more heavy than the movie based on it. You can feel the emotion of the author and how fricked up they are inside but at the same time everything is still kinda cute.
It's really a fascinating story. I saw some yt videos on it and I learned about the late 80s early 90s Indie Manga scene in Japan and how it was a lot of weird wacky shit from disillusioned artists living in the economic bubble of the time. It was one of those things where it was really a product of its time and its hard to find anything that captures that kind of grief and turmoil while still being a mix of disturbing and cute. The mangaka Nekojiru tho was in particular a sad story. The movie cat soup is literally what the translation of "Nekojiru" is and the person who made the movie was a real life friend of her. Suffering artists are something else man. I couldn't be an artist.

Learning about Nekojiru and its author was such a fever dream of an experience for me. There is so little else like it. This comic really does hit a familiar spot to it.
>Her suicide note reportedly included "Forget I even lived" "I don't need a grave" and "Don't talk about why I died."
Way to not honor her wishes, anon
Check the about page of the author's website: https://ivyatoms.tumblr.com/
It's pretty interesting to see his very early art and how he progressed up until P&P.
The curved eyes are especially striking in how it transformed from the entire eye to just the pupil.
I guess it depends on what you consider “art”. If you go by the idea that the most important aspect of art is reaction you get out of people than she qualifies.
When I say reaction I don't mean things general enjoyment. I'm talking about more profound feelings like pure emotional euphoria or deep revulsion on a level that makes you think about it for years.
Yes the Human Centipede is pure art whether you hate it or not.
If I broke into your house and took a shit on your carpet you´d feel deep revulsion too. Doesn´t make it art.

Art isnt a good in and of itself. For instance vore can be considered a kind of art. Vore is not good.
So it doesnt actually matter and this argument is pointless you should change your words to “good” vs “bad” not art vs not art
A basic one to start with would be Megg, mogg and owl, the comic art is a bit basic but sometimes things get trippy and the author has some really nice painted illustrations, he also did an art show with mannequins
If you told me a 14-16 year old made this I'd say I look forward to seeing them become a proper author in the years to come.
But for some reason all the 14 year old animators are doing warriors cats stuff despite that book series being older than they are now.
Ok I just finished it. What the fug lol. It feels so odd but almost completely untentionally. Most comics that would write the two characters getting tourtured in hell because they killed themselves would usually have a layer of irony to it but this feels weirdly genuine like the writer respects going to hell as a legitimate outcome for characters. I liked this a lot. If someone irl were to ask me "what's your favourite comic" i'd respond with Pinky & Pepper Forever—not that someone has ever asked me that question. I really wish there was more, not a lot more, not enough that it would soil the brevity and fleeting nature of the comic, but a little bit more. Those bratz/monster high doll style has such a strange look to them iconic of the era as well as a symbol of gaudiness and plastic. The authors education in art history also lends itself to inspire and form the strange sights in the comic—such as the various references to famous pieces. Overall the comic is surreal in the most genuine ways and any irony seems dispelled by a lack of acknoweldging the more pressing matters of the core components of the story, such as Pepper's and Pinky's strange relationship. The constant whiplash between quippy grounded life and already complete romance with the horrible dipictions and fantastical elements, and the strange juxtaposition of the dollish and childish art style with it all results in a mesmerizing piece of work.
>Cinemaphile fricking hates lesbians when they have a healthy proudly queer relationship >Cinemaphile likes lesbians when it's an abusive relationship and they're sent to Hell
It's because the latter is more realistic-
I think this comic is more "authentic" feeling, cringe and all, than any example I can think of Cinemaphile being presented as a "good" portrayal of a lesbian relationship.
Cinemaphile likes lesbians when there's a lot of drama; that's always been true and how is it hypocritical. It's more fun when they're weird lesbos and not a normal relationship but they're both girls
It's just they're more interesting in general if you get what I'm saying. There's a unique type of story you can only tell with two female characters, especially when it comes to character drama. The same is true with male characters. There's simply too much innate sexual tension and unbalance and psychological distance between male female dynamics. It's hard to explain. Lesbo couples also allow for more experimenting with the characters as opposite sex relationships usually needs characters to be equal in some facet whereas lesbians do not so you can have a character based power dynamic that's more radical.
love me some dogisaga. I agree with your point i think im just completely burnt out on those stories myself. You get a lot of art school dropouts writing about their abusive codependant bpd relationships through anthropomorphic characters. It's fresh for a while but the way that sort of toxicity is romanticized really got to me after a while because you start feeling like your art doesnt matter if you arent on the verge of killing yourself 24/7
That shit usually sucks because it's trying to seem deep or the author making themselves out as a victim with clearly autobiographical shit. This one feels a little different somehow
2 years ago

This is better because it doesn't feel like a self insert or an autobiography, but tells a coherent story that's still open to interpretation.
>There's simply too much innate sexual tension and unbalance and psychological distance between male female dynamics.
Pasqualo Trianglini and Allison Schwartz from It Hurts! Opposite sex friends who have good dynamics, but in general that's hard to do I believe.
finished it, enjoyed it but maybe ive just seen too much content like this. spend enough time on twitter in the lgbtq but in particular lesbian and trans furry artist space and you will find A LOT of comics very similar to this or at least trying to be. gay cis men are too happy drawing porn to really delve much into this kind of content but everyone else seems to thrive on drama. This one was actually pretty tame in terms of explicit content but actually managed to tell a coherent story with interesting themes. The Pervert and Puppy Milk come to mind but theres plenty more out there. "underground" comics have a very distinct look and are currently dominated by trans people because gay and lesbian problems are too vanilla to pass as truly outsider these days.
pfffft hahaah you should do this one too, Dogisaga is a Cinemaphile classic

so is this a case of antisocial white guy gets manipulated into transitioning to live out his lesbian fetish and writes a comic based around his derangement?
I could write something like this, im a traumatized lgbt weirdo with issues, i could be just like this artist or remy boydell or cate wurtz or whatever, its easy to make miseryporn or whatever its called
yeah I feel the same way about this, toss in max graves and everyone else in that space on twitter. I dont hate the artists but I've been wanting to distance myself from these sorts of bpd misery porn stories because it feels like emotional junk food that's unhealthy to indulge in
1) i like it
2) yes is cute, i think the art is good
3) i like yuri stuff. this, monstress, she-ra reboot, i'm down for it
4) okay why does the lesbian shit come off so toxic all the time? i feel like "action violence" in most other comics with struggle is replaced with relationship struggle. i get that talking about your mental illness is important but why do female stories dwell on it so fricking much? the toxic relationship shit should be taken down only one notch and it would be a lot better.
with monstress, the art and the war setting works for betrayal and lesbian betrayal. the attempt here with the lesbians trying to be edgy just clashes if the art is "cute"
hope to see more. i want to know where the creator is going with this
the story is such a stupid forced narrative that paints the lesbos in a flattering light despite literally being equivalent to the scum denizens of hell
there isnt anything to root for, there isnt anything to get attached to, the characters start off gay and in art school and despite that privileged foothold they commit suicide because they feel bad or something??? really contemptible tbh
the art is ok but it feels like such a waste of effort unless they actually managed to sell this for a decent chunk of lgbtdollars which i doubt. at any point in time they could have, maybe added comedic elements to this? it IS a comic. and comedy and drama play off each other and make each experience that much more poignant and rich. its like a flat soda, no bubbles and all the harsh taste
>paints the lesbos in a flattering light
Did we read the same comic? Because nothing about what I just experienced painted either character in a positive manner.
i was moreso critiquing lesbianism rather than the individuals, the mindset that lesbians are tragic misunderstood creatures who are too different to live on earth (an allegory for society) and must operate in hell (an allegory for misfits)
this picture sums up my thoughts on this
like the artist had a moment of self awareness while drawing this comic but operated on sunk cost fallacy
>wtf the author made me think these shitty people were shitty both as artists and people >why was he trying so hard to make them sympathetic by doing that?
Also the point of that scene is to illustrate that the demons in her head are her anticipating the opposite critique they're making now if she simplified her art (similar to how Pepper's art isn't taken seriously because there isn't much to interpret).
That she's stuck in a conundrum of vapid criticism that refuses to engage with her work seriously and would rather just say things around the work that both undermine what she's trying to communicate and she can't really do anything with.
Pinky killed herself because she was putting her art first, originally she was denying it was a suicide at all and done entirely for art but she later acknowledges that it was because of everyone's flippant responses to what she was doing as an artists (mostly pepper's) and no one understanding her that pushed her over the edge.
Pepper killed herself over her grief and because she wanted to see Pinky again.
i don't get it, it's well-drawn but it's pretty boring, it's not even shocking because the author spoiled the frick out of the story in the ''content warning'' list. Is Cinemaphile full of newbies that never read something outside of toddler shit or am I not getting it?
>>well-drawn >No.
it has a style, even if it's tumbler shit it's at least decent tumblr shit, I like the fashion and how the author used doll in the suicide scene
Pinky and Pepper's entire relationship is that they're horribly codependent on one another. It's why Pinky killed herself when Pepper was gone those couple of days, and why Pepper also killed herself.
Pinky didn’t kill herself because of Pepper. She killed herself because she couldn’t handle not being seen as a great inventive artist. Pinky only loves Pepper because she makes her feel wanted.
At the very least Pepper's absence did help to push Pinky over the edge, see
And your not wrong at all in that Pinky only loves Pepper, because she makes her feel wanted. But with Pepper not there, Pinky didn't feel wanted which likely helped push her towards suicide
According to their website (https://ivyatoms.tumblr.com/), they have made another comic called Emotional Support Animal in 2019 >Emotional Support Animal is a present day sci-fi story about symbiotic creatures sold as NEUROPETS, and the people who are linked to them. >It was created as part of the 2019 Columbus Museum of Art Comic Book Residency. >It is published by Diskette Press.
Emotional Support Animal is apparently their first post-P&PF work. Volume 1 came out in 2019, volume 2 is TBA.?The first volume of Eddy Atoms' (Pinky & Pepper Forever) long-awaited new series, Emotional Support Animal, takes place in a universe where mysterious beings able to interface with human brains are sold as genetically-engineered companions. With a deft hand, Edwin shows his incredible command of the comics medium once again.

Wait a minute. This hunk of shit was done by a team?
Nah just a single person I think.
But Emotional Support Animal was apparently a physical-only run and is hard to come by. I don't know if anyone's done a scan of it.
Yeah I haven’t been able to find it online and I tried buying a physical copy but it’s sold out.
I found a small little comics store in Ireland which had Pinky & Pepper Forever and Emotional Support Animal in stock and I bought 'em both.
Unfortunately, I don't actually have a scanner to properly scan ESA, so well-snapped and edited photos will have to make do.
Considering it (probably, hopefully) won't take a year to arrive, I will create a thread to storytime ESA at 17:00 CEST on the 31th of July.
If the parcel happens to be delayed, I'll make a thread with "Emotional Support Animal" in the subject, giving a status update and a new date.
Good stuff, Anon. Your service will not be forgotten.
Nice
Thank you!
Update: Frick.
I've tried finding another copy, but it seems to be a lost cause.
If I ever stumble upon a copy by chance I'll try to storytime it on the same date, next year.

Oh, the dude (or whatever, I don't fricking know these days anymore) has a patreon and he's been pretty active on it: https://www.patreon.com/m/eddyatoms
it's cool to see he's still working on stuff. I wonder if artists who get big for this kind of webcore trauma porn ever find success outside of it. Its sad to think these people might just stay miserable forever in part because their audience wants them to keep reopening old wounds
If it were made by a troon it would be happy sickening politically correct cuteness since they fetishize lesbian relationships. Only a real dyke knows what they’re actually like.
Nah, I'd say the mixture of cute and edgy (with a bit of ironic distance) is very troon-ish - it's them glomming onto girly 2000s deviantart culture but in a way that protects them from being called cringe
a lot are like that but i assume its just wish fulfillment, which is understandable given this is a comic book forum. 920 london by remy boydell is pretty good and feels like its aware of that aesthetic and works with it.
Holy shit your right, I can't unnotice it now. The last time we saw Pinky alive she was wearing a checkerboard pattern shirt, and the bathroom were she committed suicide had checkerboard tiles.
The same reason people write fanfics instead of making the exact same story with original characters.
It's exciting and interesting to have complete creative control over something you enjoy, even if it's only in your head.
You don't know, huh. You're a sad, floppy puppy pawing about hell.
You may have been born deep, but heaven still requires a resolute decision, an active choice. No one will guarantee you victory before you fight. That would make your choice absolutely meaningless.
I can see you've somewhat explored the matter of making a choice already on the page with the ants. It looks like there's a story there you're not all that proud of.
Since the thread's about to die? What's some more shit like this? You know, schizo shit about trash people made by trash people, with little traditional art skills. Well, the reason for this death and piece do reflect Ophelia herself in a way. Probably to deserve the pose of her body after she’s dead

Yeah if she did it in actual water she'd pretty quickly start turning to a reeking mush. Though, she left her face exposed, anyway. I get she couldn't exactly resin her face and it wasn't the aesthetic the piece was going for, though.

>I think so, Brain, but where are we gonna get that much epoxy resin?
So did she take a bunch of pills before getting in the tub or did she like, suffocate in the resin? Could enough resin do that?
Considering the pill bottles on the floor in the previous page, I think she overdosed.
She gave her life and it was just to be an ironic parody of Millai's Ophelia, typical female behavior.
*Millais'.

Yeah it's hard to forget
>This artstyle looks like it's from 2008
>MLP Gen 4 is 11 years old, so there's actually a pretty big span of time for works to reference it
And this comic is from like 2018.
>And this comic is from like 2018.
Really? What the hell, I could've sworn I saw it much earlier.
>the grim reaper is from monster high
Monster High Dolls are so good it's too bad they're so expensive.
How did she die?
Looks like pill bottles on the dresser
Oh yeah, good catch.
What AM I reading?
>What AM I reading?
The most accurate depiction of a lesbian relationship in Cinemaphile media.
Granted, but was that what the author set out to do? I feel like I need some context on how and why this was created.
See
She saw these toys and was inspired to write this story about them.
My guess is she's a lesbian in art school with mental issues.
Schizo this, schizo that stop pushing this fricking shit it's pretty straightforward... Lesbo who grew up christian kills herself because of all the guilt after her manipulative art school girlfriend does the same out of insecurity...
Creator liked the dolls.
Projected a personality on them and wrote a story.
Drew it.
That's it, that's the whole background.
Pink and pepper forever
>trips from hell
>Not even Satan knows what the frick are we reading
What hope do we mortals have to understand art then?
kek
Pic related but for women
So if I want to make a vore comic I just need to set it in hell and I can include all the imagery I want. Noted.
Limiting it to real indie shit that uses traditional art supplies and released in physical media seems impossible. If you expanded it to online webcomics there's a lot of mind fricky stuff out there but good luck sifting. The infamous ones are also run into the ground these days. Not many new sources of entertainment.
Good I love this page
me too. i hope the creator makes more of these stories or continues whatever this is
It's just a Bosch reference.
>reading this the same day I ended up watching a mexican chick get delimbed alive
frick you pretentious fricks
>I ended up watching a mexican chick get delimbed alive
Why did you watch that in the first place?
i was showing an indian on Cinemaphile that indian peasants like to record gang rapes.
Really Indians are like that?
abject poverty makes c**ts of all.
not true. Make all indians wealthy and you'd agree
you have Dehli and you have Mumbai
you have Sinaloa and you have Cancun
etc, etc.
either way i'm just complaining about the i'm EBIL larping like in the comic in an unironic outburst of bleeding heart indignation
>Pinky is a pretentious c**t
Yeah that's kind of the point anon
Every character in this comic is awful, but that's what makes them so interesting
How is Pepper awful?
enabler
She shakes her peppershaker off
Is that a Twilight Sparkle centaur?
>technical virgin pepper
Ok I chortled
Poor pepper, she died a technical virgin
Oh wow I never managed to see a full storytime of this. I thought it ended at
A HAPPY ENDING?
A fascinating read for sure, but I'd still like an answer
Also just noticed devil trips lol
So where can I get a copy of this other than from the publisher's website?
I'd like to avoid funding communists, but this shit is good.
I'll buy two because commies are based
>commies are based
Based in Fallacies
Thanks anon
I like you too.
there are alternatives
>believing there is an alternative than serving your own ego
this is a spook
king
Frick yes.
The Pinky and Pepper dolls were actually a low selling toyline that came first. The author/artist was somehow inspired by these dolls to make this story.
Oh wow, they're actually really cute
It’s kind of weird because they came with pet dogs despite being dogs themselves.
You ever noticed how anthro dog/cat relationships is a shockingly underused romantic dynamic in Cinemaphile shit?
Really good quality dolls with a unique niche, shame they bombed
I love Cat Soup, even got the DVD for it, but I never knew about it being a manga or the person who wrote it. That sucks to no end.
Forgot to mention, The creator did state the meaning of the story and these are her exact words
Don’t go to Art School
Yes, please, don't fall for the meme, study something worthwhile and do art on the side, don't waste your fricking money.
>Regards: Art Student
Why does this cover say Eddy Atoms and everywhere else it's Ivy Atoms?
Check the about page of the author's website: https://ivyatoms.tumblr.com/
It's pretty interesting to see his very early art and how he progressed up until P&P.
The curved eyes are especially striking in how it transformed from the entire eye to just the pupil.
Oh, now I remember how I came about this comic years ago.
Pepper could have done better.
She’s happy at least.
I wouldn't say happy, more content than anything
>learns about marina abramovic once in art class
I swear she's the pleb filter in reverse, in that you're a pleb if you claim to "get" her. Trash tier, truly.
I guess it depends on what you consider “art”. If you go by the idea that the most important aspect of art is reaction you get out of people than she qualifies.
I don't because that'd make Disney Marvel the most artistic thing since religion.
When I say reaction I don't mean things general enjoyment. I'm talking about more profound feelings like pure emotional euphoria or deep revulsion on a level that makes you think about it for years.
Yes the Human Centipede is pure art whether you hate it or not.
Is goatse art?
Unironically yes. More art than any MCU capeshit anyways.
If I broke into your house and took a shit on your carpet you´d feel deep revulsion too. Doesn´t make it art.
Not that anon, but it does, actually.
Not that anon, but it doesn't you stupid frick
Anon, if you're not horrified on a primal level by someone breaking into your house and taking a shit right on top of your treasured carpet, there's probably something wrong with you
Doesn't make it art
You could've just said you don't know what art is
Ah, i've been falling for bait this whole time. got it. 6/10 bait you made me reply
>art is anything that causes X
>this event causes X
>therefore the event is art
>NUH UH, IT ISN'T BECAUSE I SAY IT ISN'T
Thank you for your input
bait's getting weaker bro
Art isnt a good in and of itself. For instance vore can be considered a kind of art. Vore is not good.
So it doesnt actually matter and this argument is pointless you should change your words to “good” vs “bad” not art vs not art
Yes.
>don't know who that is
>look her up
>performance artist
you forgot satanist
>performance art
ech
gotta admit letting people do whatever with her body took guts though
I don't know if I hated it or I loved it. But I want to read more stuff like this.
I also laughed out loud reading this dialogue
This , this is really good. Are their any other unhinged comics like this with good art?
A basic one to start with would be Megg, mogg and owl, the comic art is a bit basic but sometimes things get trippy and the author has some really nice painted illustrations, he also did an art show with mannequins
You look pretty
ivy atoms was really cute before the transition
This was shit!, but I'm glad I read it.
Is that like Sonichu but based on Pinkie Cooper? KEK
This is sold at Barnes & Noble, apparently.
Kind of disappointed this turd was nominated for an award, even though I don't believe in awards.
If you told me a 14-16 year old made this I'd say I look forward to seeing them become a proper author in the years to come.
But for some reason all the 14 year old animators are doing warriors cats stuff despite that book series being older than they are now.
This comic gives off schizo b***h vibes 🙁
I liked it
Was this a storytime of pain?
Nah, SoP have a sort of visceral anger eminating from them, this is too esoteric to generate anger
>Cinemaphile fricking hates lesbians when they have a healthy proudly queer relationship
>Cinemaphile likes lesbians when it's an abusive relationship and they're sent to Hell
You guys are hypocrites in the worst way.
It's more fun when they're weird lesbos and not a normal relationship but they're both girls
manic pixy girl x2. I think men are more interested in them than lesbians though. All the lesbians i know just like shipping men
It's just they're more interesting in general if you get what I'm saying.
Opposite sex friends who have good dynamics, but in general that's hard to do I believe.
man there's like 3 it hurts gays on this entire board and they really go full force to shill in every single thread dont they
You're triggered by It Hurts! of all things?
Use a flared base next time gay.
>heres your experimental anti psychotics
gets me every time
Don't shit up my storytime thread with Nu-She Ra art please.
Yeah, I like when the story is actually interesting for once
finished it, enjoyed it but maybe ive just seen too much content like this. spend enough time on twitter in the lgbtq but in particular lesbian and trans furry artist space and you will find A LOT of comics very similar to this or at least trying to be. gay cis men are too happy drawing porn to really delve much into this kind of content but everyone else seems to thrive on drama.
Checked out puppy milk and it was pretty good but why are male to female trannies so obsessed with panties it’s fricking weird
When I saw the cover I thought this was that other comic about a sad trans puppy girl.
nice, sauce on the artist?
KyraKupetsky on twitter
thanks man
>Creator of Chikn Nuggit and Fuwa Fuwa Foof
huh. neat.
This is some borderline personality disorder shit.
lots of trips
It's a sign this thread is truly mystical
>went to art school (to be a teacher)
>became a teacher
>love it
comic is kinda cool, the pages shifting away from the drawing are really interesting
Draw requests of Pinky and/or Pepper? I'm kind of drunk so they might be sloppy.
Pinky & Pepper in loss
Holy shit that's great
pfffft hahaah you should do this one too, Dogisaga is a Cinemaphile classic
kino
Damn haha
holy kek
kino shit anon
pinky and pepper standing with a cute bat-girl hanging from a tree, handing them a blunt at night with morning glory growing up the trunk of the tree
pinky and pepper repenting and having good lives, alternate universe
so is this a case of antisocial white guy gets manipulated into transitioning to live out his lesbian fetish and writes a comic based around his derangement?
No it was an actual lesbian with a bio vegana but I think they transitioned to a man.
What a shame
ohhh
>they
I could write something like this, im a traumatized lgbt weirdo with issues, i could be just like this artist or remy boydell or cate wurtz or whatever, its easy to make miseryporn or whatever its called
yeah I feel the same way about this, toss in max graves and everyone else in that space on twitter. I dont hate the artists but I've been wanting to distance myself from these sorts of bpd misery porn stories because it feels like emotional junk food that's unhealthy to indulge in
then why don't you?
maybe i will
good.
>im a traumatized lgbt weirdo with issues
If you’re gay or a dyke I would be interested in reading it. If you’re a troony I’ll pass.
the former. where do you think we are
I’m used to /lgbt/ being all troony so I had to ask.
1) i like it
2) yes is cute, i think the art is good
3) i like yuri stuff. this, monstress, she-ra reboot, i'm down for it
4) okay why does the lesbian shit come off so toxic all the time? i feel like "action violence" in most other comics with struggle is replaced with relationship struggle. i get that talking about your mental illness is important but why do female stories dwell on it so fricking much? the toxic relationship shit should be taken down only one notch and it would be a lot better.
with monstress, the art and the war setting works for betrayal and lesbian betrayal. the attempt here with the lesbians trying to be edgy just clashes if the art is "cute"
hope to see more. i want to know where the creator is going with this
>dykes
Don't care
kys OP
not op
you first
What happened with the artist by the way?
the story is such a stupid forced narrative that paints the lesbos in a flattering light despite literally being equivalent to the scum denizens of hell
there isnt anything to root for, there isnt anything to get attached to, the characters start off gay and in art school and despite that privileged foothold they commit suicide because they feel bad or something??? really contemptible tbh
the art is ok but it feels like such a waste of effort unless they actually managed to sell this for a decent chunk of lgbtdollars which i doubt. at any point in time they could have, maybe added comedic elements to this? it IS a comic. and comedy and drama play off each other and make each experience that much more poignant and rich. its like a flat soda, no bubbles and all the harsh taste
>paints the lesbos in a flattering light
Did we read the same comic? Because nothing about what I just experienced painted either character in a positive manner.
i was moreso critiquing lesbianism rather than the individuals, the mindset that lesbians are tragic misunderstood creatures who are too different to live on earth (an allegory for society) and must operate in hell (an allegory for misfits)
this picture sums up my thoughts on this
like the artist had a moment of self awareness while drawing this comic but operated on sunk cost fallacy
>wtf the author made me think these shitty people were shitty both as artists and people
>why was he trying so hard to make them sympathetic by doing that?
Pinky also manipulated Pepper into killing herself. She created the dream where they’re both in Heaven together.
Reminds me a lot of 920London, but with worse art and a more coherent narrative
I would love to know if the creator of the dolls has any reactions to this.
Meh, feels like Jack but without the heart and less plot.
i don't get it, it's well-drawn but it's pretty boring, it's not even shocking because the author spoiled the frick out of the story in the ''content warning'' list. Is Cinemaphile full of newbies that never read something outside of toddler shit or am I not getting it?
>well-drawn
No.
>Is Cinemaphile full of newbies
Yes.
>>well-drawn
>No.
it has a style, even if it's tumbler shit it's at least decent tumblr shit, I like the fashion and how the author used doll in the suicide scene
It may seem that way if all you read is House-style Marvel/DC/Image.
Why doesn’t Pepper leave her?
Are these scans or is this comic finally available digitally?
Bump
I know you want more discussion about this story, I do to, but it's run it's course
Pinky did nothing wrong tbh.
Except ya know leave Pepper completely alone in an emotionally vulnerable state, which led to her also killing herself
Did the artist ever do anything else?
According to their website (https://ivyatoms.tumblr.com/), they have made another comic called Emotional Support Animal in 2019
>Emotional Support Animal is a present day sci-fi story about symbiotic creatures sold as NEUROPETS, and the people who are linked to them.
>It was created as part of the 2019 Columbus Museum of Art Comic Book Residency.
>It is published by Diskette Press.
This any good? Maybe OP can dump this too if not in this thread another
Wait a minute.
If the parcel happens to be delayed, I'll make a thread with "Emotional Support Animal" in the subject, giving a status update and a new date.
well thank you anon, looking forward to it
Good stuff, Anon. Your service will not be forgotten.
Nice
Thank you!
Update: Frick.
I've tried finding another copy, but it seems to be a lost cause.
If I ever stumble upon a copy by chance I'll try to storytime it on the same date, next year.
It was a good effort, Anon. I'll look around for it this weekend.
Got some insider info from the store, there may yet be hope!
It'll probably take a hot second before they're back up and running, but at least the chance exists that the comic isn't lost forever.
so fembrained its not even funny pooners are so sad
Why is that bad?
fembrained reply
Emotional Support Animal is apparently their first post-P&PF work. Volume 1 came out in 2019, volume 2 is TBA.?The first volume of Eddy Atoms' (Pinky & Pepper Forever) long-awaited new series, Emotional Support Animal, takes place in a universe where mysterious beings able to interface with human brains are sold as genetically-engineered companions. With a deft hand, Edwin shows his incredible command of the comics medium once again.
Surprising that no troons were involved in making this tbh
If it were made by a troon it would be happy sickening politically correct cuteness since they fetishize lesbian relationships. Only a real dyke knows what they’re actually like.
Nah, I'd say the mixture of cute and edgy (with a bit of ironic distance) is very troon-ish - it's them glomming onto girly 2000s deviantart culture but in a way that protects them from being called cringe
this. Although if they were trans the gore would probably be a lot more intense
I still stand that I never once seen a troony portray lesbianism as anime inspired cutesy shit.
*as anything but
a lot are like that but i assume its just wish fulfillment, which is understandable given this is a comic book forum. 920 london by remy boydell is pretty good and feels like its aware of that aesthetic and works with it.
The artist is the rare FTM troon, but they just quietly changed bio pronouns and doesn't ever mention it.
I can fix them.
Fix them what?
A cup of coffee?
What the frick did I just read?
Fun stuff. Thanks for sharing, anon.
Very prominent checkerboard patterns all throughout this comic.
Absolutely hellbound.
Holy shit your right, I can't unnotice it now. The last time we saw Pinky alive she was wearing a checkerboard pattern shirt, and the bathroom were she committed suicide had checkerboard tiles.
Are you trying to disclose these relationships or promote them?
What do you mean?
Apologies or being dumb
so is someone about to post the other comic?
why do these comics all use copyrighted characters made by other people?
The same reason people write fanfics instead of making the exact same story with original characters.
It's exciting and interesting to have complete creative control over something you enjoy, even if it's only in your head.
Abramovic is truly sinister shit.
This art style is mega ugly, but the story has me hooked... It's autisticly good.
Also, is this the same artist who did that Sierra picture where she gets turned on by being in hell?
I want to hear the answer to that as well, you might be onto something anon..
i wanna write one of thse but idk what characters to base my semi anecdotal misery porn off of, i was thiinking maybe sanrio caracters?
Very cliche. Use Mario and Luigi.
sounds like i'd start writing a bizarro YTP
I need more schizoid art in this vein.
Whatever happened to Dogisaga?
husband divorced her and she got admitted into a psychward. Now she schizo posts on YouTube
Since the thread's about to die? What's some more shit like this? You know, schizo shit about trash people made by trash people, with little traditional art skills. Usually made with crayons or like, food coloring or something. REAL indie shit. Don't say Megg Mogg and Owl, everyone already knows that one.
cate wurtz / lamezone would be my go to recommendation
I also want to know, I'm actually really fascinated by this comic and it's style.
There's schizo shit like Unicorn Jelly and Pastel Defender Heliotrope, both made by the same troon.
>Pastel Defender Heliotrope
Goddamn that takes me back.
>Unicorn Jelly and Pastel Defender Heliotrope
Hell fricking yes.
Unicorn Jelly, Pastel Defender Heliotrope and To Save Her put together is the best comic I have ever read in my life.
I don't know. Seems like too much worldbuilding.
>Unicorn Jelly
Frick, I confused that with Skeleton Jelly and was terribly confused what the other two have to do with it.
It's not as artistically bereft, but some pages from Blast gave me similar vibes. And it's definitely about shitty people. And it fricking spooked me.
frick i loved Blast but i would not lump it into this kind of underground lgbt webcore stuff
You know what, it's $12 screw it, I'm buying a copy.
Same, I kinda want it even though I don't own a single comic
This is the only scan of an ESA page I've found so far.
Strange. Very strange. The brain cord makes me feel uneasy.
The author of Pinky & Pepper did an interview here
In case you want more AO3 for your paper
Furry shit
It's interesting furry shit at least
does that instantly make something bad though?
i hate this, but the art style makes me so nostalgic for an era i was too young to really enjoy.
