I do not watch tv or film, and those books are for children.
It would probably be cool to see Luna's backstory, since she lost her mother at a young age and lived with her father primarily we can see some of the reflective parallels that she shares with Harry as far as loss of family stability, maybe when she goes to Hogwarts she tries to change herself to fit in with crowd that doesn't really value or understand her, maybe due to the trauma from her mother she's a little bitter and is more reserved and manipulative because she can't trust herself enough to like people, which just makes her feel worse. But over the arc of the movie she learns to find new meaning in herself when she meets Harry and develops her own little friend group. Since Harry and her share some similar pain he could probably give her a new perspective on the internal framework she has and it's one of the leading reasons she joins dumbledore's army. She doesn't have to feel bad for being the way she is and has found a group of people who actually care about her for her. I think it could be a really sweet movie for a lot of young people especially young girls to identify themselves with. You don't have to feel bad or change yourself to feel normal and embrace your skittish side.

Luna would have also have had one more school year after Voldemort's defeat, so a film about Luna's seventh year at Hogwarts could be an interesting idea as well. I figured it would be at Hogwarts, but really any idea you have is fine. I wouldn't mind something about Luna finishing up at school after everything has happened, or maybe some kind of reunion show later.
Luna is shown during her first years at hogwarts, working behind the scenes on the hogwarts morning express, the schools student led newspaper. As she conducts her investigations, she begins to become aware that there is a student being targeted by black arts - but a certain professor (snape or McGonhomie) encourage her to keep this information secret, but do averytuing she can to help that Student: Harry Potter
