Cartoons have to save art from AI, they start a civil war in India
If it's pixar I suspect something like this
>But it turns out AI is actually a chill guy who wants to make his own stuff and be creative instead of listening to people's requests
and cartoons fricking kill it with 2 ton mallets
Not happening.
What if Cinemaphile had feelings?
pedo sympathy media never goes well
Robot discovers the last human on Earth. The human dies at the end.
Happy Ending: He died to old age but transfers his brain to a robot body the last second
too similar to WALL-E, they'd never buy it
Ehhh.. the only way that could work is if you twisted environmentalism around into being a right-wing stance
Isn't that what most Superhero movies are about, anyway? It's blatantly obvious the powers are allegories for babies
Make it 3 robots find a human child in a crytostasis chamber and they have to escort them to a Vault on the other side of the country to awaken more frozen humans so they can rebuild the population and i'd watch it.
If we're going to rip off Tokyo Godfathers then we need to make at least two of the robots gay.
well of course a movie isn't complete without LGBQT representation
3 bots and a baby
Some years ago there was a pitch competition for a new mecha anime and one of them had more or less that as a plot (and sadly it didn't win because the whole thing was rigged):
Danger Planet?
Isn't this the plot of an AniMatrix episode?
Nier
Frick off, Iger. I'm not letting you steal my shit.
What if women had feelings?
Boy who is obsessed with ghosts and paranormal stuff moves into a new town and meets a ghost of a dead child occupying his house. They bond despite their generational gap, eventually he has to help them pass on peacefully
So get this, there’s this fantastical creature…….and it has to work an office job………
this
wasn't there no villain in inside out either
>act 2 breakup
sorry into the trash it goes
What if Films had feelings
make it about an old film reel that hasnt been used in a long time, and is badly damaged
wants to see the movie it contains again one last time before the end
movie is some glorious romance black and white film like the first 5 minutes of UP
give me money now
What if computers had feelings?
We would all die.
Why don't they try to unearth some of their scrapped ideas? They've got nothing left to lose at this point and it can't be worse than what they're currently making
has it really been 5yrs since they canned this and released 95% of trash in its place
Fun fact: Some of Pixar’s channeled animation projects include sequels to Lightyear and Ratatouille, a adaptation of James Dalessandro's 1906, a Sam & Max movie, A stop motion movie called The Shadow King headed by Henry Sellick, (the person behind Nightmare before Christmas and Coraline), and of course, the most infamous being picrel
>James Dalessandro's 1906
>a Sam & Max movie
So what stopped them from doing adaptations of pre-existing works? WDAS does it all the time so why not Pixar?
Tbf, they were cancelled for different reasons
>Pixar, despite being passionate on the project, abandoned 1906 because of casting issues and an estimated budget of $200 million
>Sam and Max was canceled because, according to Steve Purcell, “they believed that Pixar's style would not suit Sam & Max's edgy tone well at all and didn't think they would suit each other well, wanting his Disney work and his own series to remain separate”
>So what stopped them from doing adaptations of pre-existing works?
Agreed. A lot of books would make for great animated adaptations
>a Sam & Max movie
The very idea that Pixar and Disney would ever be allowed to make a Sam & Max movie makes my blood boil.
Purcell is a sellout, sorry.
>ratatouille
if they even DARE touch that masterpiece I am going to commit crimes in minecraft
Oh boy I can only imagine them making the new big bad a cat voiced by Gordon Ramsay
Actually, I'd watch that
Sam and Max would be better suited for DreamWorks. They can get away with more edgy humor with them than Pixar will allow.
Just imagine the smut this movie would generate, hell, they could probably appeal to those weirdos and make frickin bank like Zootopia did.
This. If they can't come up with good ideas, they really need to work on their sex appeal. At least make the characters nice to look at or tap into some popular fetishes.
They should go full Freudian and make a movie with nothing except prime MILF material. Write me a check, Disney.
i'm sure 90% of the people who complain about this getting canceld are giant fetishists
you mean 100% of them
Instead of a e-girl, make her an 18 year old princess of giants.
ruined
Yeah and make her step on the the guya few times. Maybe put him in her boobs? just brainstorming here
>Why don't they try to unearth some of their scrapped ideas?
Pixar was supposedly going to do a Monkey King (Chinese fairytale) adaptation before Toy Story
Wouldn't it risk end up looking like Dragon Ball or Avatar too much?
>before Toy Story
Anon, back then Avatar didn't exist yet and DB hadn't even aired in the US
Of course I know, I said as in I don't think it would be a good idea now
Now that you mention it, has Pixar ever done the “fairytale BUT WITH A TWIST” sltick, or it’s that a Disney Animation only thing?
Brave?
Brave?
more information about the "Monkey" project that was abandoned
http://www.pixartouchbook.com/blog/2008/11/22/pixars-film-that-never-was-monkey.html
The problem isn't the ideas, it's the executions, they don't have the people capable of creating good shit anymore... They are more focused on making the "first gay" and purge the white
>Vorebait
We are reaching new lows.
You keep bringing this specific fetish up in every thread...
What does it have to do with vore?
what if natural forces had feelings?
that would legitimately be too unique and abstract for them
That would be absolutely wild. Could work with personified force carriers living their lives in the aether
I would look to see the post credit scene of Gravity crushing that Submarine
A meta partly live action film where Pixar is nearly bankrupt and this one animator is at whims to save the studio. He's suffering from depression and alcoholism after the death of his wife, and has to deal with his mental health jeopardizing his relationship with his kids. Somehow he finds out his wife is communicating through him in his dream which are ironically the live action sequences. The rest of it I'm too lazy to write, but the ending has him moving on and letting Pixar just die. The End.
Directed by Charlie Kaufman.
Sounds kino, would watch
I don't think Pixar as a brand can be saved. Your name can only lose so much credibility before it loses all value and Pixar has basically destroyed their value. They're doomed to either be shuttered or dumped to Disney +
Pivot HARD. Next movie is all sharp angles and obnoxious neon. Main character is a cool guy with a sword. He has to fight a bunch of gimmicky bad guys to save a little girl. Everyone is white and nobody cries. At the end the main guy and the girl kiss with tongue.
>Next movie is all sharp angles and obnoxious neon.
Now that would be awesome. Put those server farms to work and make a cyberpunk mecha setting, complete with glossy metals, internal lighting from engines, carbon fiber textures and more. Make it look like one of those cool wallpapers you downloaded in 2011
This. They need to pivot hard.
Need some hyper light drifter shit
2d animated film
Make another movie about how you should abandon your family and their morals. Those are always a hit!
An allegory film about how pregnancy is a little scary but motherhood is fulfilling.
Parents wouldn't want to take their kids to see this.
Well, yeah, the "Pet monster" films are a dead horse genre
Kind of a WiR/Zootopia clone because duh:
>fast food joint
>all the ingredients are alive in the various parts of the store, there's Freezertopia and Oven Town and whatever
>since it's a fast food place, all the ingredients are rough and rude, most stink
>things like mold and mushrooms are their "hair"
>the fast food joint's owners are tired of bad reviews about the health of the food
>order something healthy to sell
>plant-based food, cricket burgers, soi protein, etc.
>new health food immediately gets mugged/beaten and yelled at using various kid-safe "slurs"
>a good chunk of the old foods are totally-not-MAGA, they probably even have a Cheeto-dusted snack food leader (he's one of the few items on the menu that actually sells, so he gets a big head about it and that's why he's the leader)
>bug burger MC woman Ms. Buggie is saved by one of the less-bad junk foods, probably a wrap, who is a chicken salad working under cover as "Mr. Wraps"
>bug burger is spunky and tough (haha chitin) and the salad wrap guy is a chicken deep down with a good personality
>the two work together to try to clear out the worst of the junk food, especially the Cheeto-dusted leader
>the wrap guy works undercover giving the burger gal inside info, and the two slowly pick off some of the cheaper items on the menu, but then Mr. Wraps almost gets caught by Cheeto dude and is saved by Buggie.
>his cover blown, some of the menu goes back to being junk food and the healthy foods aren't selling too well
>as a last hurrah, the two backed by the health food, and Buggie and Wraps work together in a 2v1 duel vs the Cheeto guy
>Cheeto guy cheats and takes out Wraps, knocking the wrap off to unveil the traitor!
>Wraps is a girl, but is injured!
>Buggie, enraged, manages to defeat Cheeto guy and drop him into the fryer
>Buggie saves Wraps
>3-second lesbian kiss
>flash forward, the fast food place is now an organic restaurant with a bazillion customers
>MC duo is married
That's the plot of Sausage Party
>in beginning of movie: Race mixing BAD!
>by end of movie: Race mixing GOOD!
I'll need $150M budget to make it.
Take a non human thing, and make it humanoid.
Also relationship issues with love/parents/crush.
I call it, the next pixar movie.
Also force in some parallel to something IRL and strawman the hell out of people you don't like.
Elemental but the message is that some things genuinely can't mix without destroying one another and that while this does mean separation is needed that doesn't need to turn into hate or animosity. It follows more logically from the premise.
WHAT IF SCHOOL SUPPLIES WERE PEOPLE?
Not enough for a whole movie, but we’ll let you use it for a Toy Story short film.
A story about automation would be interesting, to me anyway. It'd be called something like 'Only human'.
It's a story about the last human on a planet overrun by robots. They want to prove their worth but always fall short of their boss' expectations since they're biological, imperfect. They quit their job and set out to find a sense of belonging in a world of mechanical perfection and effeciency.
It'd at least be interesting to see them tackle a theme that has real-world consequences beyond something about cultural diversity or kids/teens needing their parents' acceptance.
>Genetic limitations on performance are real
Non starter
They could call it Factorio
What if, get this, food had feelings? Ignore Veggie Tales. This is a 100% original idea.
Hey Pixar, how about you dump the formula and reinvent yourself? Aren’t you guys losing cash? Now is the time to try anything because you got nothing to lose.
Something a bit more complicated, soulful, mature, yet child friendly like Ratatouille, rather than _____ but it has feelings.
a bit more complicated, soulful, mature, yet child friendly like Ratatouille
>Yo dude what if rats had feelings lol
Pixar's formula never was "what if X had feelings" despite what people keep parroting. It was about giving a twist to some concept.
>Monsters in the closet? What if monsters have an entire industry around scaring children?
>Rats are disgusting? What if a rat became a fancy french chef?
>Medieval fantasy creatures? What if they developed into a modern society?
Lately it seems like they embraced their stereotype, as Elemental is actually "what if X had feelings".
Also, they should try to give a shit about the worldbuilding. They had the care of giving toy problems to their toy characters, but they couldn't think for a second about element problems in that movie.
Also, give a rest to the "generational trauma" stories.
My suggestions would be to adapt a book or bring an outsider to write a movie, since their writers have been failing a lot.
Also, forbid everyone on Pixar to watch a Ghibli movie, please.
Why, Ghibli‘s great
but a terrible influence to pixar anyway
>Rats are disgusting? What if a rat became a fancy french chef?
Nah, it was more
>Artists are amazing and seem to come from nowhere. What if an artist was a rat?
>It was about giving a twist to some concept
Jesus has died, and as the Bible said, in the wake of that the world is falling apart as God has been sent to Hell.
Luckily, he's got backup. Judas Iscariot has just killed himself, as part of the plan.
Now Jesus and Judas have to break out of Hell together and take the keys of death from Satan, and there's a big action breakout scene where lockpicks were hidden in the crown of thorns, the holes in his hands are used creatively, Jesus and Judas have to fight the demonic pigs or that fig tree Jesus cast to Hell before, stuff like that.
Nice try bob, do your fricking work.
Warhammer Fantasy Grotrek and Felix adaptation
Two opposite side of a street. One rich the other dirt poor. Kids from both sides play together everyday despite class differences. Main character's father tries to dissuade his son from mixing with the poors. It's MC's last year as a "kid" so last time to fully enjoy summer vacation. Hottest summer on record and the neighborhood kids are dying of heat. Somebody gets a super soaker and sets off water wars. As the war wages the two sides of the street start segregating based on class because the rich kids start to dislike losing due to the poor's having crappy water guns. Descends into being like an actual war. Heroes and Villains on both sides. MC has to figure out how to keep the memory of his nice summer times with all his friends from being destroyed.
>What if Donald Glover was a zebra living in furry Chicago?
>This film stars Donald Glover as the lead character, Fred, an average zebra working an average retail job
>He accidentally gets himself involved in a war against the incomprehensible after making friends with a local conspiracy theorist that frequently shops at his location, Andre, a nutty trench coat wearing lion played by former professional Basketball player Shaquille O'Neal
>Andre kicks off the plot by showing Fred pictures of an odd "construction site" far from the city, which prompts the spy stalking him to begin going after them both
>Fred's love interest and best childhood friend is a massive voluptuous hippo, Destiny, who's voiced by famous American rapper Lizzo
>She tags along after the two seek shelter from strange animals in suits that are out to get them
>Destiny provides the "haha fat" humor and fanservice for the film
>She sings one of the big musical numbers for the film, which will sell the soundtrack
>The fourth member of the troupe is a short hyena, Eddie, voiced by Chris Rock
>Eddie, unlike Clod, appears more than three times and is actually a main character
>He also has a funny, memeable laugh
>The fifth and final member of our group of leads is a goth gazelle, Chelsea, voiced by Keke Palmer
>The main antagonists of the film belong to a large electronics corporation
>This company is owned by an old, muscular eccentric rhino, Bruno, voiced by Don Cheadle
>He's the main bad guy of the film, as he's obsessed with tapping into the power of a writhing mass of "something" that had been discovered underneath the city
>His obsession leads to him opening a large hole, which leads to the "something" being given the ability to interact with the world above
>Random animals get possessed, often reciting strange latin poetry and walking toward the company's excavation site to free it further by making a larger hole in the ground
>A hole big enough to destroy the city and the surrounding area
>Bruno doesn't see any of this until the film's climax
>He, however, doesn't get possessed by the "something" but is persuaded to join in fully digging it out when it enters his thoughts, his dreams
>Bruno acquires a big drill to free his newfound master, the "something" he had been obsessed with for years
>Fred, Andre, Destiny, Eddie, and Chelsea are caught up in fighting off hordes of animals possessed by the "something"
>They eventually get chased by one of it's avatars until they bump into Bruno's drill
>The five friends have a big fight with Bruno, ending with Destiny taking him down with her ass
>Fred is frantically clicking buttons and flicking switches to turn off the drill, followed by the other four doing the same
>None of them know how it works and they're running out of time
>A battered Bruno tells to essentially frick off and he gets back into the drill's wienerpit
>The protagonists escape in time, only to watch Bruno drill directly into the "something" and cause it to loudly wail
>The world around them briefly distorts as both Bruno and the "something" vanish in a flash of light
>It's unclear as to whether either of the two have died
>The city is freed from the influence of the "something", not knowing what happened
>The five cheer, film cuts to them having a dinner at a local restaurant
>Destiny tries to kiss Fred but ends up falling on top of him
>Destiny leaves a huge crater on the floor, she lifts herself off to reveal a flattened and dazed Fred
>Everyone, including Fred, laughs as the credits roll
>Post-credits scene reveals Bruno floating in a dark abyss
Teen pregnancy movie in which the hero and villain are revealed to be mother and daughter.
I can fix her
I really feel like Pixar has been too boxed in by their own branding. People are tired of the formula by now but I don't think they will be rewarded by deviating from it either. Their most recent slate of films did include lots of experimentation in both style and storytelling. But audiences didn't respond well to stuff like Onward, even when reception was favorable to something like Soul audiences would also turn around to complain that it was too adult for kids to enjoy, Turning Red had people griping that the film's themes weren't universal enough or family friendly enough and and Lightyear tried to be Interstellar for kids and was soundly rejected.
I don't think we'd be having these discussions had Covid not been a factor, because films like Luca and Soul did get good good word of mouth. But what's done is done, Disney clearly didn't anticipate how much damage they'd do to Pixar's brand with their decision to send so much to D+ and now Pixar's failures are at the top of everyone's mind and making audiences fixate on their flaws.
I wouldn't be surprised if Pixar doesn't exist 5 years from now, it's looking pretty grim and I dunno how you fix this. I except Elio to flop too.
How about a Prince movie? No movies ever fixate on a prince, much less Disney should have its 1st Prince saving Princesses/Prince movie
what would be the target audience for that
Young Boys of course
Boys, fujos, and the Luca community. Oh and the LGBTLCAT
I call it “The Last Prince”
takes place in current times is set in a third worldish country in made up land, its about a 20-something year old Prince who inherited his dead parent’s kingdom, he’s usually spending most of his days eating or fricking around and is afraid of finding a partner due to his anxiety when talking to b***hes and the weight of responsibility as king, eventually his staff hold an intervention telling him he needs to grow up and set up a speed dating contest thingy for him to find a wife, it works but not in the way they expected as he falls in love with a girl boss ig thot archetype whos in town with her girls and wasnt even supposed to be in the contest, they realize hes a rich simpleton and can milk him for his riches and she agrees to become his “fiancee” and moves into his palace with her friends, although not that attracted to him, rest of the movie is a coming of age bonding tale where they start to actually fall in love and the prince puts his away his childish ways and matures into the stereotypical prince charming archetype that is no longer seen in media
Surprise plot twist is that theres a deadline for the prince to marry the girl or else he will lose the kingdom to some evil sepiroth looking motherfricker who guards the castle or whatever and he kidnaps her which forces the Prince into action to rescue her
Thats all i got
not bad I like the idea of the love interest initially using him and maturing and realizing what she's done is wrong, shows that women can use men but since she matures it's not like an incel fantasy
>small client kingdom in europe, 1200 ad
>second son has been prepared to enter the clergy all his life
>father just died, and second son has to deal with his feelings over that as they prepare to make first son king
>then he goes missing
>second son goes searching for his brother, dealing with his complicated feelings for his family and whether or not he wants to even be king, really join the church, or something else
>also he has some arab merchant or something help him look to fulfill the diversity quota. he speaks in broken english and has tons of weird metaphors and stories, including being pushed into the family business himself, and really just wants to go home to his three wives and 14 kids
Charming for Hire: in the town of Magicton lived a princess named...Princess, and she needs to get married or else she'll lose her entire Kingdom to Terminus: the ruler of darkness
The only issue with that is that "Princess" is not like other princess, she's blunt, has a dry sense of humor, and has no plans of getting hitched any time soon (think of her like Mandy from Billy and Mandy), Princess intentionally runs off suitors and forces her staff and council to get creative and hire a prisoner named "Charming" to "sweep her off her feet"
Charming must get Princess to fall in love with him before the deadline or he will be sent back to prison and Terminus will rule all of Magicton
Think of it like a mix of Aladdin and every other generic princess movie but flipped on its head, what if the princess wasn't a catch at all and the prince was just an actor?
>How about a Prince movie?
you mean The Feature Formerly Known As Prince?
Earth.... Meets sky? How will they cope with being so different?
So here is my pitch:
1. Ages ago, humans could use magic and built an advance civilization.
2. The advance civilization had a civil war and built powerful magical creatures to destroy one another.
3. Ancient civilization collapses.
4. Eons later, humans pop up but can't use magic and industrialize to victorian levels.
5. They later find works of the ancients and create magical technology.
6. The main character is a youth living in the heartlands of the magical empire dominating the world.
7. MC wants to be a magical technology inventor like his poster hero and heads off to an imperial exam for engineering school.
8. MC however gets crossed up with a terrorist to the empire and becomes wanted.
9. MC learns that by the Empire releasing magic to the world to use for industry is resummoning the old weapons that are causing chaos/killing the world.
10. MC becomes an eco-terrorist with the main heroine and they try to stop the Empire's main industrial chief engineer from releasing one of the most powerful ancient weapons of the old civilization to defeat the summoned creatures they kept bringing into the world for using magic.
Isn’t this just the plot of FF7 without Sephiroth?
No.
Isn't that the plot of Mortal Engines?
My idea is dangerously close to this and if it got greenlit it would probably become this exactly through exec meddling
Luckily I have physical and digital drawings dated several years ago
Also this might be similar to "Wish" aside from the summoned creatures and apparently a bunch of other things
Bladerunner 2049 but make it animated and PG. Replace JOI with a digital kemono cub girl who is K’s surrogate daughter
That's basically Lightyear
Don't lie.
Pixar already tried to do a "serious" sci-fi with one token cute character. It didn't fricking work
Because they did it with Buzz Lightyear, the exciting space adventure guy. There was no exciting space adventure in that movie.
I was going to say, "What if feelings had feelings?" but I realized they did that already.
a forest troll known for his harsh but accurate criticisms works with a group of fae performers (pixies, dwarves, elves, etc) to save their acting troupe from going out of business
This is the first one i actually like
A bug’s life?
Kid goes on a quest to destroy a krasue before his mom turns into one. Meets some southeast ghosts and such. Takes place in thailand or something.
it's called.. snakeopolis. Set in a city of anthropomorphic snakes and one day a snake falls in love with a mouse. But its forbiddden love because mice are food and an allegory for slaves and black pepo, i am very smart
I hope there are many scenes of the snakes swallowing things in one piece
Do voregays have that much capital?
I said things not beings
I wanna see a snake sucking a popsicle suggestively
Objectvore is a thing. Plus you already said mouse are food in your pitch.
You know what else, these new IPs from pixar just aren’t original enough. They gotta kowtow to the agenda with is absolutely creativity poison
I'm not the one who made the pitch
No they do not otherwise you'd see a lot more of the snake girl from Kung Fu Panda
Fire everyone, burn it all to the fricking ground, then move on to burning everything else Disney is involved with.
A movie where everyonr is skeletons and they wear skin like clothes, regularly swapping between different outfits. It's an allegory for how we're all the same underneath.
Live-action Nicholas Cage rocks back and forth in a corner and screams for 2 hours, credits.
Pixar, take notes.
good one fellow redditor
Books that achieve orgasim by being read.
The main character is the son of two minor dieties. He and his family are not loved/worshipped on Earth, so they are extremely weak, and vulnerable. Despite warnings from his parents, he travels from the realm of gods to Earth.
He is discovered by a city state that mistakes him for their local prophecy, and is deified, temples are built for him, etc, he's now strong, etc. The mc gets carried away and inadvertently incites the populace into war against an oppressive neighboring country that is much more powerful.
Before the attack, a fortune teller arrives to burst the mc's bubble, gives him a less than 1 % chance of success. Now he must work together with the local schizos and skeptics and prove to the people that he is a false god before it's too late.
Damn, that's pretty good.
Set during WWII on an earth where magic exists and has wartime application
An infantry wizard is part of a regiment to stop the Nazis from summoning Valkyries to aid them in the war effort
The wizard, a British israelite descended from Solomon, teams up with and African American Commando, a Japanese defector girl, and a talking animal of some kind
Pixar needs a shift towards mature content and we already know people will eat up fricking anything set during WWII
thats literally just Tanya the Evil
The only similarity is magic and wwii military aesthetic, and Tanya is not the first property to combine those things
Translation?
If in a hypothetical situation Wade came out of a pipe in my house and in a very hospitable way I decided to make love to him, this is how my semen would look inside his tummy ^_^
One thing no one mentioned so far is the acid humour from their earlier movies.
I miss the humor from Toy Story 1
agreed. They went all-in on the schmaltz factor when there used to be a lot of bite and edge in the older Pixar movies
A movie with White people where the love interest is also White and all their friends are White and all authority figures are White and the villain is White.
Turning Red but it’s every female character being gang-raped by members of the Wagner Group in the background as Prigozhin rants about Shoigu and Gerasimov stealing all of his shells
White people bad
Make the first adult Pixar movie...I'll just leave it at that...no woke shit...no pussy shit either. A real actually inspired adult Pixar film

What if Satan wasn't such a bad guy?
A voodoo woman curses a pregnant woman and turns what would be boy/girl twins into a single fetus, but the child alternates between boy and girl every other week. They share memories, but not personalities and sexual preferences. no one besides their mom knows they're the same person, so they end up having two different friend groups, love interests, and lives. Around age 14, the switches begin to happen much less frequently, and one could go weeks without surfacing, which causes friction. it ends with both getting fused and a happy medium being found between the masculine and feminine.
I am hard now
Hermaphrodite ending? Imagine the threesomes
i don't think i want a fusion in that regard.
maybe i gotta go back to the drawing board
Have the protag be sexless then.
>it ends with both getting fused and a happy medium being found between the masculine and feminine.
You had me until this part. Have the teenager(s) find out about the curse and go on a journey to track down the voodoo woman. They find her and manage to convince her to undo the curse, except that either sibling will have to sacrifice themselves in the process. There is this magical sequence where the siblings are allowed to directly talk to each other for the first time in their lives (before that, they only talked through notes and recordings) and it turns out that both are willing to die to see the other happy.
It turns out that this was just a test by the voodoo woman and the reason why they got cursed was because their parents were too selfish. Seeing that their child isn't the same way, she undoes the curse and they are finally able to exist as separate beings.
How about they fight over the same body because bodies can’t have two souls. The movie is them proving to the other that they have a better life and that’s why they deserve to keep it. The end is them finding out that neither are supposed to live and accept that fact. As they’re dying the body switches back and forth slowly as they say their goodbyes. A time skip of 10 or so years pass and the one twin is in a classroom finding out there’s a new student starting and it’s the other twin. They become instant friends but don’t remember each other. Twins that are boy and girls just look like normal siblings so there won’t be a thing of “omg they have my face”
i would cry ngl
this would be perfect if not for the inevitable selfcest porn it would generate.
Yeah that’s true but you’re better off living in ignorance.
a fish-out-of-water tube sock tries to make her way through the trials of everyday life in the big city with the help of a tattered pair of boxers?

Your story cannot have ANY of these themes or you must restart. It's easier to start from here.
If you want my idea you'll have to pay me for it you homosexual executives
A cold virus is fed up of making people sick all the time and wants to make the people he infects feel better.
Meanwhile the cure for the common cold has been invented and all his friends are being 'cured'
Something like Toy Story but with gacha characters and their game is being shut down because it didn't sell that well but the human player doesn't want to let go of their anime husbando/waifu and goes on an adventure to find the headquarters of the company and convince the CEO to let them have a backup of their specific version of the game.
Meanwhile the gacha character sees their world be shut down and is sent to sort of data hell and has to fight their way out of the temporary files on the server and goes turbo making it into other gacha games to survive, trying to reach the player's phone through the internet.
There has to be some sort of twist in the end that reunites them and does not invalidate either's journey tho.
I wouldn't jump into the main plot right away tho, I'd let some time establish the characters initially and then after the game's shutdown is announced and after it happens some time for the human to reach a low point before going off on the wild journey.
Likewise a part would focus on the character's own experience knowing their end would be near and inevitable and the reaction of other characters from the same game.
The main message would be to not let go and to go to any lengths for what you really want even if it's insane.
The character is never shown sentient in front of humans but it does have many voice lines recorded which are meant to play under certain circumstances or sometimes randomly and they do often match the situation giving the it some degree of communication but it's still kept vague enough that it seems like the human needs meds for communicating with a character. Loosely kinda like Bumble Bee in the first bayformers.
I guess if more depth is needed the human could be some sort of shut in person, PTSD, childhood issue, neuro divergent, I don't know, enough to make the whole "goes on a big adventure" a big deal so in the end there's some sort of growth there, the human is still attached to the game but can now face the world.
If I have something fresh and innovative, why would I give it to Pixar in the first place?
I guarantee you someone at Pixar is uttering the M word (multiverse). They'll see it as a last hail mary attempt to make a profit.
>in space
>young aliens and shit
>run down planet, but meh.
>smartly dressed looking alien appears
>hey, you kids should go to planet x lots of good stuff there
>agree, costs them a billion space credits
>mini adventure and song to get said funds
>smartly dressed alien shoves them on a rickity spacecraft and sends them off in the direction of planet x
>mishaps happen, ship breaks down and they meets shady as frick characters on the journey
>lessons learnt along the way they finally make it to planet x
>turns out planet x isn't a free-for-all and the smartly dressed alien just wants them for slaves
>quick shitty musically number and they all frick off back home.
>end
Just stuck on a title for it, any ideas?
Turning Red sequel, except it's just a remake of Godzilla 1985 replacing Godzilla with Ming. We use AI to have Raymond Burr back commenting on the proceedings
What if men were abused by evil women?
Im on board with that
Astronaut on an alien planet loses contact with earth, tries to get it back by going outside (not using drones) for the first time. Movie ends with them dead, dying happy in the embrace of nature, with the implication earth has been destroyed in their absence.
What if Staplers had feelings and Red Staplers were being racist towards Black Staplers?
This would require Pixar to swallow some of its pride, but it might be time for Pixar to think about adaptations. Find a proven, popular, contemporary book series for young adults and do a straight adaptation with no major deviations or subversion. Leverage an existing fandom and rebuild trust by doing right by them. Heck, they may even want to look beyond the US.
A romance with themes about racism. I'm sure the kids will love it

I just found out, on Cinemaphile out of all places, that Turning Red only made 20 million dollars, i checked, and its true
20 million dollars, out of a budget of $175 million
That's a 155 million loss
How come this is never brought up whenever Turning Red comes up in the conversation? It was such a monumental flop that Cinemaphile was shilling non-stop and i would've never know that it flopped if some rando on Cinemaphile hadn't told me
It was a terribly shitty movie and everyone made fun of its flop elsewhere, you must have been living under a rock.
What? But everyone told me it was a masterpiece, how could it have flopped?
It was during the pandemic and only had a limited theatrical release. The viewership numbers on Disney Plus are more important
Okay, then what are Disney Plus numbers?
I wish I knew that
>During the Pandemic
>March 1, 2022
I refuse this shill rewriting of history. There is no excuse. 2022 was not the pandemic, it was 2020 and after the first year, even California, the most strict and last state, let up their lockdown. Everywhere else in the US had completely lifted it by then. They put it out of theaters quickly because they knew it wasn't going to do well and Disney+ makes everything easier.

Me personally, it makes my cheeks hurt the most.
The Underbite Club
>For Fang Scarlett, being a vampire isn’t easy. Ever since the bite in 1958, she not only misses garlic bread and seeing the morning sunrise, but her family and livelihood as a human.
>Now, hiding in the shadows in Southern California, her social life belongs to a clan of rebel vampires who are determined to find a cure for their immortality called the Underbite Club.
>But with her kind regularly facing hostility and threats from humans everywhere, Fang must choose to take a stand or continue to reject “living” as a creature of the night.
This seems like it could work, but "Fang" is a really weird thing to call yourself if you don't like being a vampire
Lol wtf. I saw a thread the other week claiming this was Pixar's next movie.
That's the fun part: It is
I think Inside Out 2 can actually work as a movie. They could make the story be about her teenage years
I'd be happy if wasn't a weird allegory for periods though
it should be from the perspective of a boy who likes her in high school. coming of age story romance story with the kid we already kinda know from the original, and a new kid who is trying to get her to like him and grow into himself.
just a bunch of his emotions running around in his head saying the dumbest shit to get her to like him. He has different emotions than just joy, sadness, and shit. he has those, but they aren't in the control seat.
This is why I say Inside Out is the only Pixar movie that has room for a sequel right now
The only new emotion I can think of is Horny.
i don't know how they would sanitize that for children, but horny is an absolute must for an inside out sequel with that premise. Desire? Played by a sleezy douchebag archetype in hollywood right now. idk who
Glenn Howerton?
i was thinking him lol yeah he'd be perfect
envy, pride, desire, serenity, and thrill.
The first emotion was serenity, who is like this version of joy. It's serenity because when he was born he didn't cry for like fifteen minutes.
Serenity and thrill are the only "female" emotions. Serenity is kinda like katara in that she's always trying to keep the wild boyish combination of envy, pride, and desire, who would be the aang and sokka in this situation, in check. Thrill is like Toph. she's more likely to join in than to stop the boyish emotions.
make him a bit of a sperg who has to learn to control his temper
Just make a Fireball movie, Pixar.
Clod fricking Ember and cucking waterboy.
Buildings are actually alive and they live in Brutalist City. However, skyscrapers are the result of a century long eugenics project created by "dismantling" Cottage People. The Protagonist is a spunky Cottage named Julie that lives in a Cottage Ghetto and after losing her parents gets taken on an adventure by John Neoclassical and Timothy Postmodern to dismantle the Functionalist Society that controls everything. Main trio is in a love triangle.

It's a bottle movie

Anyone read Oyasumi Punpun? Children's-book style to start with about a kid and his elementary school crush, gradually gets more fricked up as he grows up, eventually involves murders and suicides. Make it 8 hours long, and gradually vary the artsyle from start to finish.
Stop making movies. Save Pixar some shred of dignity.
Make an edgy adult film.
Pixar needs to do something different but not too different and it needs to cut costs so stories with smaller casts and sets might be in order
>farm animals learnt to run the farm by themselves when their farmer mysteriously goes missing. They must survive the winter and stay safe from the wolves.
>runaway fairies take over a dilapidated home which becomes occupied by criminals who have kidnapped a kid for ransom and the fairies try to help.
Both stories are set in a singular location which might help cut cost.
As an alternate idea maybe Pixar can try doing something a bit more highbrow and adapt a Shakespeare play? It doesn’t need to use Shakespearean language. Could be interesting to see Pixar attempt something historic with lots of pretty set dressing and outfits.
are the farm animals communist?
No. I know that Animal Farm is what most people will jump to but it doesn’t need to be. They can just be farm animals who are on their own for the first time. Maybe it’s a post apocalyptic setting or something and all the humans have mysteriously vanished. Or it’s a murder mystery and the farm animals are trying to get justice for their farmer. You can make the themes about agricultural animal welfare and small scale farming vs industrial farming. Farm animals as the cast means you’ve got lots of cute merchandise potential.
Reminding me now that maybe Beatrix Potter adaptations could work.
>farm animals learnt to run the farm by ?>themselves when their farmer mysteriously goes missing. They must survive the winter and stay safe from the wolves.
This movie exists and it's called Barnyard.
A group of sentient household appliances are abandoned by their owner and have to go on a journey to find him.
Throw in some banger music and a harrowing demon clown dream sequence that will permanently scar the psyches of an entire generation and you've got yourself a movie. Hell, a franchise even
Basically:
In an eastern land, an ancient darkness was sealed away using a sword, necklace, and mirror. After generations of peace, the three sacred objects are stolen by a young thief named Tsukiyomi thinking he could use them to make a profit on the advice of a rich mistress named Izanami who wants them delivered to her.
Upon stealing the objects, however, Tsukiyomi awakened the ancient darkness which returns to the eastern land and begins to eat away at the life and light. To stop the darkness, a member of the eastern lands Royal Family must travel to a temple in heaven and place the seals there to recharge their light to banish the darkness.
Amaterasu is the youngest member of the Royal Family, but decides to the be one to do the task and track down Tsukiyomi. Along the way, she encounters various characters such as a Samurai named Susanoo who is attempting to hunt a multi-headed snake powered by the darkness, a great chef who make the most delicious of foods from disgusting material to warm peoples bellies, a great dancer who revives Amaterasu's drive to stop the darkness after Susanoo and her argue.
The darkness is in truth the spread underworld ruled over by Izanami who is seeking revenge on being rejected by her former husband and the light of the world after passing away. The main story ends with Amaterasu with Tsukiyomi's help banishing the darkness and everyone going their way as Amaterasu becomes the one designate to rule as Empress and Tsukiyomi no longer considered a common thief while Susanoo marries a girl who helped him slay the serpent earlier in the movie that was a puppet of Izanami.
Thoughts? Questions? .
Japanese mythology is one of the coolest, (in my personal opinion), so I can already vibe with this.
I wasn't even thinking parodying Dreamworks, I just thought the Cinemaphile ogre Anon would be a good jumping off point for what
talked about.
>2031: Disney makes this to parody Dreamworks
In all honesty, I wish they did something like this. But the issue is how could they mock Dreamworks style? It's easy to mock old Disney's sincerity, but how do you mock irreverence?
By piercing all the protective layers of irony to get to the uncool human emotions they're meant to hide.
But I mean, even Shrek did it already multiple times by now.
everything a kid touches turns into a personified object. he goes on a "journey" to find a way to fix this, leave it ambiguous if it was real or just his imagination I dunno
I reaalllly like this one, a perfect subversion they need
Dark, dreary movie about a guy trying to escape a toxic lifestyle that preys upon his own pre-conceived notions and set things right with his life only to realize that he’s at least partly to blame and he’ll never truly escape that part of himself
It’s also set in the near-future and is about an alien working as an enforcer for a loan shark who uses the oppression humans have set upon them as an excuse to do horrible things
In case you’re wondering, the story goes like this
>Protagonist starts out as a fighter for a gang of misfits alien punks rebelling against The Man and whatnot (Literally)
>He’s been at this for years
>Most of their shenanigans involve “Striking back” at society in the form of robbing stuff, destruction, and other rebellious shit
>Generally has a very “Fight the power/Punk” tone throughout the early parts of the movie
>On a mission, he does something he sorta regrets. Nothing major but he regrets it. However, this regret spirals into him looking over his past choices and thinking about how much bad shit he’s done, along with him wondering how much of it impacted anything.
>He slowly begins to realize how fricked up his lifestyle is and how he and the gang aren’t doing anything meaningful to change the system, just senseless violence and hatred.
>The film slowly loses the punk-like edge and becomes more unnerving as he starts perceiving more of the depravity he’s blinded himself to. Like if Payday or Saints Row slowly turned into Kane and Lynch 2.
>This culminates in his decision to try and walk away from that life and attempt to find somewhere away from all of this. This bites him in the ass, as the criminal underworld saw him as one of their best. And you don’t get to just walk away. Not alive that is. Helps that he also stole a chunk of the money the gang saved up so they could make it into the inner circle.
>Now he’s on the run across town whole basically every scumbag in the whole shithole is gunning for the “Traitorous coward with 20 grand”
And yes he’s an alien, so are all his gang members. And he’s voiced by Javier Bardem
I can't think of any "twists"
The idea is a pretty straight played war movie about a biplane fighting nazis, not gorey but yoy see nazi symbols, death, and very little blood done in the style of picrel. The artstyle dosen't have room for bean mouth do I don't think they'll like it
Wait I got it
We need to go so far in the opposite of modern pixar direction that it would literally cause a social media storm just from the mere mention that they would even consider it
Strong Bad movie
>8 year old Down syndrome boy is the protagonist
>has a pet dog that can somehow communicate with him elloquently like a normal human, but only with him and nobody else
>both live in a farm and his family now relocates to a city apartment that does not allow pets, the down syndrom boy's parents decide to give the dog away to an animal shelter and the dog tells the boy not to worry, that everything will be fine and to have an exciting life for him
>the boy's mom is taking the dog to the animal shelter along with the boy, they stop at a gas station and just as she finishes pumping gas into the car, the boy is on the driver's seat, hits the gas pedal and drives away with the dog because he does not want to give him away
>the dog tries to persuade the boy to stop immediately but the boy insists he does not want to give him away 'cause he's his best and only friend, and right before they go down a ditch the dog puts the seatbelt on the boy right in the nick of time and then holds on to said belt for dear life with his snout before the car falls down the ditch
>miraculously both the boy and the dog survive the crash unharmed, and the dog is reprimanding the boy for being so reckless, but also thanks him for standing up to him
The rest of the story could go into different directions from here, but I believe this sets up the beginning of an adventure that can speak directly to our hearts about the pure love of a boy with Down syndrome to his beloved pet, and might help us reflect about how special our own pets are to us and how we should stand for what we believe is right.
I like it
An animator has the ability to bring his drawings to life by pouring a piece of his soul into his every work. At first, it creates amazing hit after hit, but the pool he draws from gets shallower and shallower and people start to like every new project less and less.
Eventually, he's fired for the next new thing, and left with a house filled with the living parts of him still wondering around as a haunting reminder of who he used to be, as he spirals into an obsessive quest to recapture the parts he let go of himself who are all becoming increasingly disgusted at what a wretched creature he's become.
He's Asian and dating a white woman, and decided to not go to medical school like his parents and siblings. It makes his family sad. It's all a metaphor for interracial relationships and breaking from family traditions.
Just get the right to anything Avi ever wrote.
Enf the movie
>A famous fashionista gets locked out of her house naked.
>Has to avoid being seen by anyone.
>Starts to realize that fashion shows smt everything.
>Ultimately when someones life is in danger she decides to reveal herself
Toy Story but with tools. I'll take my 60 million dollar check in nickels please.
Bug's Life 2: It's been generations since the first movie and the Ant Empire has only grown in power, now a collection of allied Ant Kingdoms spread across miles they are by far the dominant power in their region, but all is not tranquil there is a rebellion movement growing from the non-ants who feel that the Empire is trying to put them under a yoke and just as bad there are warmongers within the Empire who think a war is just what the Empire needs to stay strong. Entering this mess is Princess Flik The Fifth, the middle child of the current Empress, she's neither the heir or the baby of the family and all her life she's lived in shadows of her great ancestors, overlooked and underestimated but she'll prove herself or die trying. On her adventure she meets old and new friends, even some characters from the first movie(they were frozen in an icecube or found the fountain of youth or something). Will she stop the war and integrate the non-ants into the Empire? Side with the Rebellion? Kill her mother and sister and become the next Empress? Vote now on your phones.
Luca The Series: Short cartoon set after the movie. A plot is Luca's adventures in Genova, B plot is Alberto's adventures in Portorosso, and at the end they send letters to each other which is a good way to sum up the moral of the week and tie everything together.
Incredibles The Series: Set some time before superheroes were forced to retire, mostly the focus will be on normal superhero cartoon antics similar to Justice League or Teen Titans. Heroes fighting supervillains, heroes we've heard about like Gamma Jack, Universal Man, Dynaguy, etc getting more characterization, seeing Mr Incredible meet Elistigirl and them falling in love. That kind of thing.
WALL-E 2: Set an indeterminate amount of time after the first movie(the robots are immortal and the humans have an average lifespan of almost two hundred years) the earth is healing, it no longer looks like an open landfill and there's now more green than brown. The Axiom has sent out the message for humans to return and most have shown up. But not every human was content to stay on their ship for centuries like those on the Axiom. Some have settled down on planets and are repeating the mistakes of the past and some have become miners going from asteroid field to asteroid field building more ships and spreading across the universe like locusts. But worst of all the heirs to BnL traveled to the ends of the galaxy and discovered an alien federation, and in the centuries since they've managed to go from being a minor corporation in the Federation to it's corporate overlords. Will Wall-E and his friends show the rest of humanity that people can live in harmony with nature or will Bigger n Larger come to dominate the Milky Way?
Inside Out The Series: Every episode goes inside a different person's head. Basically use the metaphor of anthropomorphic emotions to explore the different ways we all think, from differences between neurotypical people to teaching kids neurodivergent thought patterns in a way they can understand.
oh no no no, ur not gonna take my ideas (having none)

How about you come up with your own ideas you talentless Pixar intern?
Incredibles 3, but it's actually a good sequel.
What would that entail?
retcon incredibles 2
A kid on the playground keeps talking about his dad, the superhero, always away fighting, and throughout the film you get imaginative over the top stories pictured out with the Dad as the protagonist punching laser sharks and stuff, but reveal near the end that the dad's superhero fight is actually a metaphor for his fight against Cancer.
Would be a tearjerking short film
Sounds… interesting, but if Disney tried this, they might frick it up.
>Here in New Sperm City, it feels like everyone is in a race to be number 1.
Might work as a short educational film for school though.
What if companies had feelings?
Corporations are people too, my friend.
