This is mostly due to how shite Youtube is at sharing ad revenues and the like. If you play a game for three hours on a stream, you risk a bot flagging your video as using copyrighted material (even if there is none, or fair use applies), Youtube demonetises the video, and you don't get the revenue from the most important 24 / 48 hours of the video's existence. That's before Youtube itself flags a video as not being eligible for monetisation via automatic review but will neither tell you what is wrong or what rule(s) are being broken.
