No, they want it lowkey for Twitter to decide and possibly create outrage support over it. If they made it blatant they'd lose China, Russia, and all the Muslim theatres. Gwen is an example of them creating a troon character that wasn't banned in China.

First, I don't buy it. but second, if Gwen is revealed to have a dock holy shit. ANOTHER Black character who takes it up the ass?

Not saying that this character is gay, but gay-baiting and making chars stealth gay is much more lucrative than being blatant.

The only people aside from Twittergays whi think Gwen is a troon are morons on here. That's it. It's headcanon peddled by a couple of yellow pages. Imagine actually taking this bullshit seriously.

Disability is another diversity criteria now both internally at companies, and for awards now.

You can literally see tens of thousands of people a day on the street without ever seeing someone in an eye-patch. Actual demographics be damned. Same thing they want 40% of tv to be Black folks despite them being 10%.

I don't think it's a disability, the teaser showed him with an intact eye on a picture (where he is like 4) and on the photo on his mother's phone when he is calling (where he looks the same age as he is during the movie's events). I assume he either has a blackeye or that's a thing that sometimes used to cure amblyopia.

he is a little boy so whether or not he is going to be a gay man he is a a suitable partner for a gay man by default, from the Hollywood point of view. he also has a very overtly sexualized design which gives me the creeps

aside from The Incredibles they didn't really have films that dealt with family stuff much
and Finding Nemo was specifically about how overprotectivness in a parent can cause problems with a child and spark uncontrolled rebellious attitude
Turning Red was basically about the same thing, people remember the "panda selling" part, but it actually was portrayed as a bad thing, and an overkill of her rebellions attitude caused by overprotectivness.

            >and Finding Nemo was specifically about how overprotectivness in a parent can cause problems with a child and spark uncontrolled rebellious attitude
Marlon was feminine, fearful, and an unfit father who sought to shelter his child instead of raising him right, leading to Nemo’s rebellion. The plot is basically Marlon learning how to be a man and a strong father and with it reclaiming his child’s love and respect.
Turning red was simply a rebellion against morality and values, and the parents needed to learn to respect their kid’s free spirit.
Honestly these movies are a perfect duality of old (conservative) pixar vs nu-pixar, but you are framing it like they are the same.

Pixar's design works are just boring now. There's barely any cohesion here.

Look at pic related, it's just a drawing someone thought was pretty, there's no functional aspect to it, no real details you notice. Elemental suffered from the same thing, as one review said, it looks like a tech demo, not something 'real'.

Animated film at that and they have lost at least 1 billion on these films. The live action remakes made billions.

    >this is new

I swear people like Oney and Zach are making ironic jokes with this exact same line for months.

Pixar writers must be the hackiest people in the whole world right now.

    Soooo…
What would you propose Pixar do next and try to get themselves out that losing streak?
    >Incredibles 3?
    >Monster’s inc 3?
    >Antz 2?

Make an animated adaptation of Kyle Rittenhouse's valiant killstreak

      I've got the solution.
      >Disney hits a winning streak by doing CGI remakes of their traditional cartoons
Thus Pixar will remake their classic films as traditional animation. With more gay sex.

Fire everyone involved except the people who were there from the beginning, demote the remaining people to their positions from back when Pixar was good (e.g. animators like the Lightyear director should remain as just animators instead of directing or writing terribly), and take like 5 years off for meritocratic hiring to refill their ranks and bring in fresh blood for new ideas.

    >movie about a sexy child character learning to grow up with a found family after clashing with his immigrant parent(s)
This is literally every pixar movie since Coco. They are all pro-groomer metaphors designed to turn conservative immigrants children into trooned out zogbots that will rally against whites in the upcoming civil war.

      >sexy child character
Also, the only other two are Elemental and Turning Red, and those are about asians specifically.
And in this case the main character l's parents are in the army or some other glowies (which is interesting actually).

Luca is another one. Same “conservative outsider (immigrant) parents learn to give their kid over to liberalism” plot

Luca is way too vague to be an immigrant story. It's a broad outsider metaphor (literally fish-out-of-water). Elemental makes direct references to racial stuff, Luca doesn't. Also the fish people turn into characters that look no different from other people there.

Regardless of the direct racial themes its still about the backwards and oppressive ways of conservatism vs letting your kid be free to the wonders of liberal ~~*education*~~

How long until Disney quietly winds down Pixar or makes them a straight to streaming sequel only service?
