>play this game. >oh you're the other Spider-man. >I wanted the real one

>play this game
>oh you're the other Spider-man
>I wanted the real one
>you're not the real Spider-man
how do people know there's one spider-man who is a rookie? How do they know which one is the real one on sight? Why would random goons/burgulars know and even care which web-slinging do gooder is fighting them? This part of the game felt so forced. Is it like this in the comics too?

    >How do they know which one is the real one on sight?
    Is this a rhetorical question

Different heights, voices, and track record.
No shit people want the more experienced one.

I guess the implication is that Miles has notably worse performance for people to start making the assumption that the second Spider-Man isn't as seasoned.

    >the kitchen sink is having problems again
    >call your usual plumber for help
    >open the door
    >a guy dressed just like the usual plumber shows up, but his clothes have are colored different, he's smaller, he has a far younger voice and he's kinda shaking
    >he gets to work
    >hear him say stuff like "ooooh boy I hope this works"
    >he suddenly starts shooting lightning bolts from his hands

Yeah I'd also prefer the other plumber

I would literally assume he was a reputable guy the original guy trusts his reputation with, until the part where he starts talking out loud. Just like when a new face shows up from our usual contractor at work.
He'd have to actually frick up himself for me to take notice.

Someone post the "Hockey Pads" Batman impersonators.

But people don't know Spider-man that personally. have most people even heard him talk? he's constantly jumping around and changing costumes. I just think it's weird how people don't assume they're the same guy until given a reason to assume otherwise.

In the comics he stops to chat with people.
        >inb4 "but this is vidya"
There's no reason to assume that he can't act similarly.

    >HEY YO WHAT UP HOMIES IT'S ME YOUR homie SPIDER-MAN
Jeez idk, the way white liberals write black Peter it's kinda obvious he isn't the real deal

    >Play game called Spider-Man: Miles Morales
    >Cover is clearly a diffrent SPiderman
    >"wtf why am i not playing Peter"
    Actual moronation.

He's quoting dialogue from the game. Much of the game's content is a meta-plot about the lack of acceptance for Miles Morales as Spider-Man (again).

Anon, he's referring to how all the npcs treat Miles when he's the one saving them.

OP is clearly talking about in-game characters, who's the actual moron here?

        (Me)
I'm the actual moron apparently since I have somehow fricked up the reply

I like the games and Cinemaphiles perpetual need to b***h about everything is finally starting to wear me down

If you think Cinemaphile gets far too angry about these games then never open Cinemaphile, they just straight up lie about stuff there

Cinemaphile is just Cinemaphile by another name, and the sad thing is that on Cinemaphile you can actually have decent comic discussion from time to time

The general rule of Cinemaphile is that discussion of any topic is done better anywhere but it's intended board.

The game is good. I just find this aspect weird. Like I'm stopping a burglary and a goon is like "heh, he's not the real guy, get him". it just feels forced. I feel like a random burgular would still be shitting his pants no matter which Spider-man it is. like why would he even care

I mean they know for a fact that it's not the same guy (different build, height, costume, voice, etc) and he doesn't have a reputation yet. I think it's entirely plausible a few crooks would take a chance and fight him

Why does Miles get such special treatment? Honestly, the obsession with him to be at the front and center is kind of creepy.

Yeah man how could anyone ever tell these two people apart
