I went to a school with a bunch of blacks and hispanics and that never happened.

I'm confused, is this "the real world" and they're playing Pokemon TCG like in the original Gameboy games? Or is this Unova and they're playing Pokemon TCG because they're not old enough to have their own Pokemon?

I dunno who told them the art style was okay though. The card game is plastered with super anime looking art. I imagine even kids who are ONLY into the cards are going to wonder what the frick is up with this art style.
Is this why they got rid of Ash? I thought it was because they got tired of doing nothing with him so they put him out of his misery. This isn't even being impatient anymore, this is just being shameless.

Gonna be honest, the most memorable track for me out of this is the arrangement of one of Toby's tracks: the Terra Raid battle.
Toby's stuff is so overrated but that is a solid track
They did that before, back in the 2000s, it was based on Gold and Crystal going on a adventure parallel to Ash's story, but no one cared about it and it was never repeated again

High-end decks in Pokemon usually don't go over 60 bucks. And "non-meta, but can still hold their own against the good decks in casual play" decks are usually only like 10 bucks.

I wouldn't say it lacks refinement myself, but I feel as if the facial features really need to be scaled down (in size) a bit; provide them some room to breathe.

Nah i agree that he's good, it's just that he gets sucked off so much because he made undertale (which was also a good but extremely overrated game), that's why he has even gotten to do what he dies now to begin with
Yeah I can understand that. I try not to delve into the associated fanbase stuff all that deeply, to be honest.
Still, I wish he could be given more of a chance to score some cartoon, regardless of it being mainstream or indie; kinda like how Jake Kaufman scored OKKO and Mao Mao. That's why I feel his appearance in We Baby Bears, while cute, was also something of a missed opportunity.

I guess it's to provide some sort of marketing vehicle for the card game, but like truteal said, it does kinda feel like they've waited a tad too long to pull this sort of show idea off, in all honesty.
Anyways, from what I've observed the card game seems to be chugging along fine without the presence of a show adaptation (though admittedly the brand helps out in this case), so...
