You Avatrannies have been really going overboard these past few days.
The last few days I've actually been reading fanfiction mostly. I was just looking at some old thread that died weeks before Today and decided I could use this.
>The last few days I've actually been reading fanfiction mostly.
Got any recs anon?
What recs ?
Do you have an fanfiction that you think anons would enjoy reading?
*any*
Honestly I was reading a bunch of Code Geass fan fictions and I never got past the first season of the actual anime.
Try Gladiator, a Sokka x Azula pairing. It has over 1 million words and it's still ongoing fanfic. Pretty fricking good in my opinion, over 5k reviews
I've tried reading that and I am already stuck at episode 9
Why the frick does Toph get a surname while being a low-mid noble while the FN Royal family doesnt
>Why the frick does Toph get a surname while being a low-mid noble while the FN Royal family doesnt
Maybe because they're entirely different cultures?
And why should a surname make her more important, I don't think the Earth King had a surname either, I don't even know if he had an actual name.
Yeah, think guy's named Kuei
Sounds like something the comics did, definitely don't remember that name from the show
>Sokkazula has a 1 million word ongoing novel
>roughly half the fics about ships I like aren't even about the ships I like, they're just randomly tagged that way to try and trick me into reading them
>most of the time, it turns out they're actually about Zukka
Being a crackship enjoyed is cold and lonely sometimes.
I can't explain why, but "The Dragon King's Temple" by Krya is the best Atla fic I've ever read. Which is fricking bizarre because it is a crossover with Stargate SG1, yet it is just written so well.
Basically, Toph goes on a life changing field trip with Zuko.
Are you telling me that the people who say they aren't interested or sexually attracted to children also love to talk, think, breath, and make every day of their lives about the possibility of two fictionalized children fricking?
Color me fricking surprised.
So avatargays self-insert as Aang? Why?
Doesn't seem like a self insert to me.
Eh, sounds interesting enough. Better than any of the stories they made for the comic series
>Eh, sounds interesting enough. Better than any of the stories they made for the comic series
Are the comic books actually that bad?
Yes. They retroactively make the series worse with their plots
'The Search' is fine, even if it's more of an excuse to have Azula interact with the Gaang rather than knowing Ursa's fate
The others are bullcrap
The Search ruins Ursa, ruins Ozai, and makes Zuko's childhood memories delusions. But it especially ruins Ursa. Turns out she was kidnapped and sexually enslaved and could have killed Ozai and saved her children at any time but just didn't. Because.
There's not much to recover from the R63 Azula with abs or the mother that left without word
>the outside world trusts the 'psycho b***h' on a scenario where she killed her fricking brother according to OP
Seems like something out of Tumblr
>There's not much to recover from the R63 Azula with abs
Wait, Ozai and Azula are not the same character, are they?
>Because.
Uh, EXCUSE ME? Ursa had an absolutely reasonable reason she didn't do any of that stuff, and it was B E C A U S E she had Koh the Face-Stealer's mom swap out her face for a new one so she could marry her high school sweetheart and have a new daughter. Like, DUH, man. Come on.
They literally cucked Sokka in one of the comics
Yes, absolutely.
I will never understand that ship
Azula goes crazy and love and respect power .The Avatar is power incarnate and defeated her dad on the day he was most powerful .Therefore she needs to serve the Avatar who's at Shotokan.
From a personality point of view, Aang is a fun occasionally naive goofball all about wabisabi and peace, Azula is an evil cunning perfectionist who secretly wants to be loved unconditionally. They're opposites, it's fun.
From a story perspective, Aang taking up the duty to guide Azula to spiritual health both as a favor to Zuko and to symbolically heal the remaining corruption of the Fire Nation is a good angle.
Just your regular 'I want my self-insert to FRICK Azula' thread, starring the guy that tried killing her on S2 and inspired a whole generation of kids to act like betas
>inspired a whole generation of kids to act like betas
What?
>starring the guy that tried killing her on S2
When?
Not the same guy but Aang attacks Azula at some point on S2 (not sure if it was The Drill) and starts a fight by destroying a throne where she was sitting made of stone which was originally aimed at her, she's wearing an armor but it's still lethal.
Without mentioning he never partakes neither gives a shit about Zuko's plan to take her down on Sozin's comet even after he mentions she's losing it, guy got more involvedinto telling Katara 'NOO DONT KILL YOUR MOTHER'S MURDERER' despite the fact that Aang doesnt seem to give a shit about his parents himself
That aside, OP post makes no sense, Aang tries to kill Zuko for holding Katara back for like 2 seconds on 'The Promise' comic not only endarenging him but FN citizens, and this is a year after Sozin's comet.
I am a sucker for female villainess X pure boyscout.
Sokka is more of the boyscout of the group, Aang resembles more some sort of hippie
Ozai wouldn't give the least shit about sparing either nation from bloody fighting, ESPECIALLY if his pride has been blemished by a setback like this
Neither would Azula
The heroes' side has been severely weakened by losing three of its most important people. The Fire Nation still has overwhelming military power compared to Earth Kingdom. Why the frick would the Fire Nation just not press their advantage? This is rarted and aang inserters are bad and should feel bad
Far more reasonable would be Toph and Zuko after Buumi dies. I don't even ship the two but as far as marriages of political convenience it would be hard to beat that since the Earth and Fire Kingdoms are by far the largest.
Nah, Zuko needs to secure internal stability before anything else. A foreign marriage would be out of question.
>marriages of political convenience
Toph was just the daughter of some immensely wealthy Earth Kingdom family, I don't think they held much political clout.
Wealth and political clout go hand in hand
She also uses just her name multiple times in the show, so I think it comes with some amount of power.
Yeah but she's meant to be like a mid-level noble at most, nothing major
>The Azulaang gay is still trying
>He's spamming so much other ATLA threads get deleted.
Frick off back to tumblr already.
Why did that thread even get deleted? Because it was descending into wokeshitflinging about The Dragon Prince?
Because there was like 5 ATLA threads going on at once and the jannies only tolerate 3 so 2 threads were deleted.
Would this make more sense following a bloody stalemate, or following a coup attempt by Azula, with the disintegration of the Fire nation following all of that? With the rest of the royal family dead or missing, the marriage would be a sign of the "sincerity" of Azula to bring peace, and a way to prevent the rest of the world to vindictively annhilating the remnants of the fire nation. It would be loveless, but both sides would be curtailed from their ambitions, at least in the eyes of the opposing side; Azula would not be allowed to expand her powerbase through violence and the firenation would be militarily and politically neutered. Conversely, the Avatar and his side would be prevented from pressing their seemingly overwhelming advantage.
It may make sense. Who knows who would propose it, though. Neither side would "win". But both could avert horror and future world-rending destruction for the world.
It will save lives, but it will cost both of them personally.
I aint reading all that Black person
>Zutara but with even LESS sense and more stereotypical starring muh secretly soft soldier child who did nothing wrong uwu and some autistic bald hippie
/Co/mblr strikes again
Azula stayed loyal to Ozai because she felt he was all the family she had left, not power, in fact Azula gets driven mad with power on like 2 weeks just before she was gonna get the possition she seeked for all her life.
I think that if Aang showed he really was stronger than Ozai, Azula would have no problem latching onto him as her new Daddy
Why do you Black folk hate kataang so much?
I like Kataang...
general butthurt at a maternal figure in Katara (because of their own feelings towards their mothers)
It's just a bit boring.
And Kataang people don't need fan fics or commissioned artwork to see their preferred ship, since it's canon so there's the show, Korra, and the comics for Kataang interactions.
Just personally when I watched Avatar I never thought they'd end up together because Aang always felt a lot younger and more childish than her. The way they end up together at the end feels rushed too (admittedly the whole second half of S3 is rushed anyway)
>I never thought they'd end up together
What show were you watching if you didn't know that Aang and Katara would get together by the Cave of Two Lovers at the latest.
Honestly by the episode on Kiyoshi island it's already obvious
Yeah fair point, actually I'm not sure I felt that way but I just always thought the idea of them getting together was a little weird.
I didn't think Zutara or anything else would happen btw, TLA just felt a bit sexless to me so I didn't expect it to happen.
