While you're trolling. I agree with the message, somewhat.
People who watch capeshit films and shows don't read the comics that they are based on. This has been shown numerous times. The normie / npc audience doesn't care about what current comic Spider-Man is doing as they want to see more adventures with MCU Spidey-teen.

Out of ALL the manga you had to go for, you had to choose HxH out of a million as some pathetic attempt to defend your political brian rot. People read manga. You are owning the right by pointing this out because it is now a right wing statement to point out that Western comics are dead shit and people only read manga.

People only want to read manga because no one wants to read your stupid political bullshit Americans. There is no progressive political garbage in any manga. Yes. 99.9% of manga.

I notice that Western morons actually believe that homosexuals and crossdressers in manga are supposed to be some statement or normalization of homosexuality. I chalk this up to Westerners being unable to separate fantasy from reality. Homosexuals and e-girlcon in manga is like carjacking in GTA, it isn't some normalization or support of it in reality. Thats why Japan can reinforce its ban on same sex marriage yesterday, and almost all manga artists don't go on twitter, like Western morons do, and cry like some moronic leftists activists about it. Because those themes in manga aren't a message, its FANTASY.

Get it? FANTASY ISN'T REALITY. Do the adults need to teach Westerners this lesson?

        >There's waaaay more social commentary in your average manga than your average capeshit.
Not really, I don't think you know what the word "average" means. Your average manga is ecchi or slice of life with pretty much 0 social commentary outside of basic stuff.
Stuff like Eden: It's an Endless World isn't your average manga.
You'd know that if you weren't a crusty boomer.
Hell, take something like Ajin, which has an underlying theme of people being discriminated against for being demihumans, but most of the story isn't focused on said discrimination, but on the characters, and the main antagonist using the pretense of being discriminated against to go on terrorist murder rampages because for him it's all a game.
In fact, pic related is probably the closest Ajin comes to social commentary.

It'll only be a matter of time until translators for the official platforms (Mangaplus, etc.) will be infested with woke fools who change what is said. I enjoy WAN PISS but the troony outrage over the Yamato character being a biological woman but thinking that she is a reborn male character from 20 years in the past is headache-causing. Japan's older demographic hardly acknowledges gays. Why would they even consider troons? Plus, cultural language differences.

        >5 batman books from different decades in the top 5
I had no idea the comics industry would stagnate this much. But the existing heroes have decades of history to them, with the pressure to not repeat plots. While manga has no such qualms. The indie comics written by Big 2 writers all have interesting plots, especially the horror side of things like Tynion and so on. Except the editorial or something at DC makes them virtue signal and ruins whatever interesting thing the writers suggest.
And not to forget, making everyone some form of LGBT. It's fine in fan shipping or for new characters. But twisting themselves into knots, changing time, aging up characters just to make someone bisexual - feels awkward and performative.

Don't call them anon. This is the only board, right now, that has some black guy larping as a communists denying basic facts of biology. This is the only board that tolerates it.

Western comics and your entire garbage industry is nothing more then a front for evil elites to actively demoralize and force "societal change" to their fricked up cult. Thats it. Thats all. Pic related. Something that appears on a goddamn HR email of a big corporation.

Stop calling them anon. These leftypol rejects are on here because they also want to push a narrative. There is no ideological differences between American corporations and the Left. None. Leftypol will literally not deny this.

I mean, considering how the major political parties in control keep switching back-and-forth, it would make for some very inconsistent character moralities:
    >Liberal gov't currently in power IRL
    >This is LightHeart! He is a force of pure goodness and justice for ALL the people! He uses moral standpoints and emotional appeal to force evil rich Conservatives to give up their wealth and power, while supporting the common Liberal people by inciting protests as often as possible! LightHeart is the pure Liberal hero we need today!
    >IRL gov't changes to Conservative
    >Uh... so, uh... LightHeart is actually, like, super useless, because he uh, doesn't get anything really done, and he doesn't represent realistic solutions to today's issues... so uh, he's kind of like a... not really a villain, but I guess just like a distraction from justice or something? Because he's like... forcing honest business owners to give up their ability to support the common people?
    >Gov't changes back to Liberal
    >uh BACK FROM OBSCURITY IT'S LIGHTHEART AND HE MEANS BUSINESS NOW, REALLY TAKING THE FIGHT (metaphorical fight, because violence is what makes the conservative white patriarchy evil) TO THOSE EVIL CONSERVATIVE CORPORATIONS THAT... uh... actually outspokenly support social justice issues IRL today... uh... BUT IN OUR COMICS THEY ARE LIKE THEIR EVIL OLD SELVES FROM 20 YEARS AGO SO THEY ARE STILL THE EVIL VILLAINS FROM OUR WRITERS' CHILDHOODS

At the least, I guess it would make for easy excuses to heel-turn or face-turn characters.

Black person, this is the state of the comic book industry. How do you even avoid talking about politics when it's literally included in the comic? Feels like you really want everyone to bury their heads in the sand because discussions about it on Cinemaphile go a way that conflicts with your personal political ideology.

13/50 is one of the most successful brainwashing campaigns ever waged on the American people. They will make you focus on this number to make you forget about the fact that corporations steal more from workers than workers lose to thieves, how white people are more likely to commit sex crimes against children, and that the majority of financial crimes are again, commit by non black people, all of which are also crimes, and arguably worse than anything a racist can draw up against black people. Just like how racists had once convinced the world that theft was worse than murder, the American people have yet again been a victim of the propaganda machine.

There are no implications, superhero comics no longer have any significant impact on the public consciousness, or at least the Big Two don't. When was the last time DC or Marvel had a comic book that normies were aware of? I think it was probably The Death of Superman, since then comic books haven't been on the public's radar at all, which is why nobody cares when they do these insane social justice plots or make Thor a woman or whatever.

I think that one had some impact, like I heard a few coworkers joke about it that weren't comic people but I think they just said "they made cap a nazi!" and that was about all anyone knew about it. I think everyone knew it was a gimmick though. Death of Superman probably wouldn't have been so impactful today because it's just a given that comic book characters die and come back all the time. I asked my dad about it at one point, he didn't read comics but he apparently bought a Death of Superman because he thought that was actually going to be the last superman comic, and this was a common line of thought.

I'm not saying the self indulgent loons who run America aren't at fault, they choose to listen to the nonsense. However, China's leadership follows a philosophy of unrestricted war by any means. The Soviet Union funded most of the progressive demoralization in the media of the 20th century, why would an economically powerful communist country not do the same now? China recognizes these self important, very easily manipulated people hold the reigns of power over institutions that belong to their enemy, any general worth his pay would see this as a vulnerability to exploit in a war that is not limited to guns and tanks.

You sound unhinged and pathetic because this is the only place you can express these views without consequences.

Of course you're in denial that you can't separate fiction from reality and you think the Japanese are on you side of political brain rot. Narcissistic and delusional. I bet when you play GTA, you think you are actually killing people.

I saw this same shit with Harry Potter. Back in like 2016 or 2017, you would write entire little pseudointellectual commentary about how HP has SO and SO progressive politics and that HP is an ally and that anyone who told you that you were stupid for thinking these books supported these themes were "idiots". Then JK Rowling decided to be consistent on twitter, and its like all that commentary meant nothing. Suddenly HP went from a book that supported progressive politics to being the most hateful book on Earth. I bet if the mangaka of Vinland Saga did something similar, you would have the same breakdown. No, it would be even worse because when Westerners feel they are "betrayed" by foreigners, they treat the foreigner way more hostile.

Because its almost like nothing you say manner, you are just a narcissistic twat that cannot separate fiction from reality, so you abuse fictional works as accessory, pretending they are on your side, inventing your own interpretation so you can force your beliefs on others, and then when it suddenly becomes inconvenient, you drop it as fast.

You know, I don't think I'd mind politics in media as much if it wasn't for the fact that every other yahoo with a social media account will not STFU about their opinions on current trendy issue. At least make them well written. It's asking a lot, I know, but a story's quality shouldn't be purely what the author's message is.

A pity they can't save sales.

Nothing can be done to save comics due to the stigmata that they have. Been like this since the 70s as comics were viewed as a non-popular activity. People can deny this statement but comics still carry that today.
Normies would rather watch movies or a series about Spider-Man than read anything published.

If it isn’t Jurassic League then I don’t give a frick. That’s the only non-pozzed book out right now and it’s fricking awesome on top of that. It’s nice to read a good modern comic for fricking once.

It would require intelligent writers with a strong understanding of politics and philosophy capable of writing strong characters, witty dialogue, and compelling themes.

      See

Setting up Robocop-2 style situations where private corporations create their own more corrupt, violent, or evil derivatives and alternatives to the original heroes

Robocop was softened to appeal more to children, in doing so his policing ability became ineffective and thus the psychotic killer RoboCain was created

Now I just get comic news from Cinemaphile thread.
Though I've been on Cinemaphile since it started and on the site since 2004.
