Transgender is a combination of the prefix "trans" meaning "moving from" or "changing". I assume you know what gender means. Ive always advocated it being called genderswap and not transgender but here we are.
It is unrelated to the modern political move of teh transgenders, which is caused by a sick head rather than a hard wiener.

It was fantastic, and garnered a ton of positive reception back in like...what, 2013? People loved the frick outta it.
Morbi rode this high, but his arcs kinda started to slow down. He went back and added chapters inbetween chapters that he had already put out, very obviously unhappy with his current comic. This was the first domino to fall. Eventually he revealed a character that everyone thought was a monkey, because its a world of furries, pic related, and got super fricking anally anguished that nobody realized she was a human and called everyone racist. This may have not been the second domino, but it was big enough that it started knocking everything else down. Morbi got burnt out and just started venting online, which is cringe but understandable for running a webcomic with great art and story.
He eventually realized that working on this webcomic would require WORKING ON THE WEBCOMIC so then he shifted fricking gears and tried to turn the WEBCOMIC into a wall of text instead. Nobody liked this change. Everyone immediately started tuning out, which made him even more butthurt. He then just stopped it cold turkey, went trans/"nonbinary" or whatever the frick he is now, moved to SanFran, became homeless because his friends hated him and threw him out, likely got into drugs, went even crazier, and returned to the internet attempting to start a webcomic again about a midget who fricks a fat seal girl. This webcomic has also failed and hasnt been updated in almost a year now (9 more days) at only 23 pages total.

i haven't been on Cinemaphile in a long time but i remember all the Poppy threads. that's a really unfortunate story. what is it with webcomic artists who were poopular 10ish years ago losing their shit and becoming drug addicts/homeless? i feel like this kinda story is uncannily common.
The stereotype of artists being more likely to suffer from mental illness is alive and well, especially when it's harder than ever to make a living on that shit.
Don't forget the whole "but what I really want is to be a male nurse" thing, which is about when he abandoned the comic. A lot of details though like the perfectionism sound suspiciously like another artist who abandoned their webcomic after spiraling into a deep depression.
It's not bad enough that he dropped an incredible webcomic; artists do that all the time.
But then he went and spoiled literally every plot point and setting detail he could think of, effectively ruining any chance he might have had of resuming it at a future time.
