It was his demand in exchange for filming at the Plaza Hotel which he owned at the time of filming, that he appear in the movie. Incidentally the Plaza Hotel went bankrupt before the film actually opened.

Adding him in the first place was a political move to add a scene that never belonged in the film to begin with.

But he was and that was the final product. Dante also added his political enemies in his version of hell but rewriting it to exclude his political comments would be moronic.

How do you feel about the fact the the bible has thousands of translations that are often in conflict with each other and the true meaning of some of the stories can never really be known anymore since they were written in dead languages nobody intuitively understands?

Funny that you assume I'm religious just because I brought up Dante. Let's clear this up, I'm not. I know the Bible is revised to hell and back but that's a different beast. I will even admit to not having studied not read it in its entirety to form credible opinion so I will concede that and move on. Back to Dante.
                >I would be fine throwing silly superstitions nonsense like that in the garbage and letting it be lost to time.
Imagine being this much of an anti-intellectual. The Divine Comedy is an excellent work of art and its merits go far beyond religion but you in your atheist rage chose to focus on that. Clear your head and study some classic literature. You don't have to be religious to appreciate Divine Comedy. In fact, most religious people that aren't mouth breathing tele-evangelist simps understand it is a separate work of fiction and don't confuse its contents with the Bible's.

And you are in the same thread arguing for censorship. Trump is a moron but reality is what it is and that was Home Alone. There is no point in denying reality. Dante's opinions matter from a historical standpoint. And yet again despite me actually talking about other merits of the Divine Comedy you hyperfixate on religion and are unable to grasp other aspects. You are so blinded by your rage that you don't see anything wrong with censorship as long as end product is something we agree with. he has repeatedly mentioned the art and imagery it has inspired. i am non-religious and i love the artwork. what about the metal song 'Dante's Inferno's by Iced Esrth? they have plenty of songs criticising the church but they still liked the poem enough to write a 16 minute song about it.

Yea but he also says making your own artwork about something that leaves out any part of the original story is censorship, so he directly refutes the viability of any of that secondary artwork and again its all secondary, it doesn't actually mention what about the original work is so great and beyond personal interpretation.

Logical fallacy & strawman. Doesn’t even make sense even when you ignore the fact no evidence was ever found against Jackson connecting him to any kind of crime. The media was lynching him every single day for decades and offering bribes to countless celebrity child stars & people associated with him in a desperate attempt to get them to claim he abused them, bypassing the statue of limitations on his investigations years after grand juries closed the book on them for turning up nothing, and making up any bullshit claim about his “weirdness” and personal life to try and ruin his career. During that same period they said nothing about Saville or Epstein despite the fact they were literally connected to the government who knew about it.

If his name wasn’t Michael Jackson, nobody would even debate this about a man as investigated as him

I think some don't work Lady Gaga Sin City, Matt Damon in 'Thor' works as a joke, a lot of people missed Musk in Ironman, Keith Richards in 'Pirates of the Caribbean' amd Cruise almost steals the Show in Tropic Thunder and paris hilton supernatural could be more of a 'crossover' than cameo

I'm not sure that counts as a "cameo", because the entire film was about Hollywood A and B list celebs in an Apocalypse scenario. The entire start of the movie was just cramming as many B-list celebs into a house party as possible.

The "trumpet fight" guy in Heaven Knows What.

It's actually not in the movie, it's a deleted scene. Ariel Pink is in this too but he did the music for the movie so it's not too off-base to make such an appearance.

i do honestly think its Gods blessing that the catholic priests are constantly kept in check and every one brings up the abuse 24/7. it sucks for good people to have to deal with false allegations all the time but its vastly lowered the chances of it happening again. meanwhile, the general populace doesn't bat a fricking eye at all the other groups doing it way more.

      Anonymous

This. It's not just priests. They were a protected class with easy access to children. Of course they were interested with pedos. Now if only every protected class and and everyone with access to children was under such scrutiny, the world would be a little safer.
