fair. It felt rushed to me. A lot of the stuff I liked about the comics were the character development bits which was impossible to compress into 90 minutes. It felt like the movie was trucking along and then suddenly they were like "OH FRICK, we need to wrap this up" and then they rush through the battle sequences, everyone kind of just SAYS what their character arc is at the end, and then it finishes.
I think they did what they could, but I would have liked to see something episodic so they could let things progress more naturally, and I really wish they would have cast the actor who played Young Neil as Scott instead of Michael Cera.
AH, okay. The movie style was fine and they took a lot from the comic, but read the comic and you'll understand that there's a lot more that could have been done with the adaptation.
I watched the Tank Girl movie before I read the comics back in the day and thought it was a fun film until I booked up. Then I understood why people were mad.
I like Michael Cera well enough, but I think the guy who played Young Neil would have been closer to the comic version of Scott who is kind of a himbo. Michael Cera is...well...Michael Cera. He's never not Michael Cera and unfortunately Scott Pilgrim is not Michael Cera so Michael Cera doesn't portray Scott Pilgrim as much as he portrays...

Not a movie, but I think the Live Action adaptation of Preacher was better than the comics. Don't hate me. Despite all its faults, think they did a better job of fleshing out characters and storylines than Ennis whose writing always feels a bit facile.
the squid doesn't work in the movie, frick you
I said non-capeshit
I don't read other people posts sorry
what does this say

It was too much story to be a movie anyway, it should have been a series.
