>Her face doesn't pop up in the dark room
Lazy editing
lol that was a kinda cool. What show/movie is that from?
what movie? that's kinda cool visually
extraterrestrial 2014
it has some good parts
thanks homie
Shitty editing ruined that jumpscare.
rip lil aliem
what movie? I love ayy kinos
AYYYYYY
Anya Taylor-Joy?
Imagine explaining to a grey alien the origin and history of the AYYY LMAO meme.
imagine getting scared of this and not clapping dem alium cheeks
Not really a jump scare, the entire scene prior is clearly building up to this. Still spooky tho.
Traumatized me as a kid
I dont know why
for me, it's the alien leg in the cornfield at night
that scene was peak scary for 9yo me back then. still makes me shiver, what a fricking great movie.
For me it was Mel talking to his daughter when she couldn't sleep at night then cutting to a shadowy figure standing on the roof
>body of a reddit mod
>standing on roof spying in to a little girls room
uhm, wasn't this supposed to be fiction?
this movie has a lot of legit scary parts
I don't know mr twist night did it
This made my wife afraid of aliens. Especially long gangly ones with fetal alcohol heads.
why is it there lads
Based Orson putting a random jumpscare in the middle of his drama movie for no apparent reason.
He didn't want to. The studio made him put it in.
Its to shock the audience awake.
struth
>just threw it in the movie to wake up the audience and scare the shit out of them
I need to rewatch Citizen Kane just out of respect for Orson being a master shitposter, I wish he and Marlon Brando worked together.
Citizen Snooze is so boring that I don't even remember this popping up when I watched this crapheap years ago. I was probably half asleep.
Low IQ take
To wake the audience up

Remember during the 2000s, almost every YouTube video had a 50% chance of having a screamer in it? Especially if it was a gameplay showing an urban legend or if was made with windows movie maker. Nowadays all of these videos are deleted or buried so far in the algorithm that it's impossible to search. I would like to see these videos again just to troll myself.
All of that jumpscare culture migrated to zoomer platforms like tiktok.
I remember listening to a screamer video once where it was "exposing" a hidden message in a song and during the "slowmo playback" to reveal the message it was just a loud horror scream or something. It made me scream so loud, my mom came down and asked what the frick. We were at my aunts at the time, so even worse.
>those song DLs on limewire with screamers in the middle of them
yeah there were plenty of videos like this. I remember one where the text on-screen would encourage you to dim down the lights and focus on the song playing by lowering the volume a fair bit like 10 seconds before the jump scare. There was a person sitting in a rockingchair in a dark room in the video. That was our go-to before the legendary car video.
When you're 9 and jump-scares as a concept hasn't even entered your mind yet at the dawn of normie internet, the effect of the jump-scare was hilarious to see, every kid would have a different reaction but almost all entered the video completely unaware. Once you had been subjected to it, you'd immediately want to show it to others. One kid smacked the screen in IT class, another ran screaming, a lot would panic and have trouble getting the headphones off.
We had fun on the early internet lol.
bro im so glad the jumpscare era of the internet is over, frick that shit
would
CG peaked here
I've only seen this as an image or a gif and it always spooks me. What's it from?
little short 'film' (think: 2 sentence horror story) called Bedfellows
How did they make the face look so spooky?
Is it just make up & lighting?
The smile and big eyes is a spooky thing but it's even more scary that the monster isn't under your bed it's IN your bed
At some point in time humans were haunted by white faced creatures, with big eyes and large teeth, to such degree that its ingrained in humans all over the world to feel a primal fear from seeing such a face.
kino
reminder to watch these youtube clip at 1.5x speed for the best kino experience
These shorts are great and are better than the full length movies they are sometimes adapted into. I like the one about the spoopy ghost that only appears when you turn off the lights. Also the one where the 2 girls are hiding from their "mother".
Why does the monster run towards us and away from her at the end? Did she slip her fingers in its ass or something? Dumb ending.
lolling at all the 10 years olds in the comments pretending not to be scared
AAAAAAAAH NOOOO ITS THE ATTACK OF THE CHUD
Lmao
Such a simple show don't tell twist but they show everything
CUDDLES
i've spent a lot of time watching these 'AWARD WINNING SHORT HORROR 10/10 FROM THE wienerSUCKER FILM FESTIVAL' and this has been the only good one
This shit scared me so bad. I wish I could delete my memory of Insidious and watch it again. It's my favorite horror movie
Insidious was great.
First saw it at night on a ship rolling on the waves of the Pacific. Very kino experience.
That's some top notch horror atmosphere for sure. I saw it by myself in a theater, got out after midnight, drove home in the dark to my house on the outskirts of town.
Insidious saga and Warren's movie were great.
The main characters are good so the movie are very enjoyables.
noooooo darth maul dont leave the heckin girl alone
Sleep paraylsis. The first few times I had it it scared the fricking shit outta me, i was afraid to even go back to sleep. Now whenever it happens I just get annoyed instead of scared now cause I know what is happening and i just keep trying to jerk an arm or leg until I wake up. But my god sleep paraylsis can get weird. Never try staying it sleep paraylsis though, I read something online and decided next time I had it i wouldn't try and wake up and just let it keep going, well it got so weird and outta control it was insane. I was like walking around my room but it felt like I was moving in slow motion and then it got even weirder and creepier when I got to my bedroom door so I had to end it.
1st insidious was actually good
Not frigtening if you watched or are a fan of Phantom Menace.
This frightened all the star wars fans even before the sequels.
>He's right behind me, isn't he?
lamest ones. zoomer tier
time to fap again
dumb gaijin, you're supposed to be scared!
I watched these again recently but my yellow fever is so strong now I just get aroused when she's on screen
not really your fault, shes literally just an asian woman making a stupid noise
Eh, what? Was she really that plain-looking or is this edited? The hallway scene was spookier, btw. Also, that scene from Pulse.
poor girl died and all she wants is to suck some dick before moving on
plot twist: it was actually his sister
lmao is /x/ filled with these kinds of spoopy rape stories? If so I'll have to check it out
Unfortunately not. /x/ is a den of schizos these days. And not the fun kind.
Ghost b***h was literally asking for it
This is why i always jerk off whenever i feel like something is watching me in my room
want to watch me while i seel you paranormal pervert?
Well expect my fat ass to give you a fricking show
DONT SUCK MY wiener NOOOOOO
fear but also, erection
my fetish
this 1 minute in photoshop effect should not be scary but it somehow is
IS THAT.... GARRY BUSEY?? AHHH I'M SCARED
Worse, it's Laura dern
there's something about the shittiness of it that makes it more disturbing. like when you used to stumble on schizoshit on the old internet and just wonder what kind of freak made this
this one was scary but the part that got me later was when the frame freezes on that face and it slowly starts to distort until the eyes are all black or bleeding or whatever
Laura Dern is just a scary looking woman
?feature=shared
This one messed with me the most because I didn't have my guard up since it wasn't a horror movie. Darth Vader popping up out of nowhere during the saber fight in ESB also startled me.
I can only imagine how many children got traumatized thanks to this one scene.
I still want a gif of this.
right.. why do all these 4wang weirdos just post a pic or webm and not even tell people what movie it is from. I'm convinced this entire website is just full of bots.
You have 3 options:
>watch more movies
>lurk 12 years before posting
>go back
you have 3 options. Stop using moronic green text. Post like a high IQ normal person. Stop getting brainwashed to hate all women.
Nice hat
I can still hear his voice
GIMME THE CAAAAASH
Saw civil war recently and there’s a quiet nighttime scene that jumps to a daytime combat scene with no warning and the first thing you hear is a loud ass rifle shot. I jumped out of my seat
i had that with age of ultron where it cuts to rogers cutting wood on the farm halfway through
I've never had the courage to finish this webm.
frick man that got me good
lol I thought it was the clownfish from that animated feature I can't remember the name of.
>It's literally just an emoji... But underwater!?!!!! ahhhh I'm going insaaaane!!!!
This literally made zoomers piss and shit themselves. I'm much more afraid of the sharks and they're not even all that scary, but nature is way more terrifying than a fricking emoji zooming in randomly
It's not the emoji zooming in that makes it scary but the unnatural phenomena of the situation. That thing shouldn't be there at all but please continue to speak like a sperg that sure proves more of the kind of person you're, a manchild.
That’s the guy from Megamind not an emoji you moronic fricking boomer homosexual. Get your eyes checked grandpa
Very well made. It's perfect like the car in the hills jumpscare, you're too focused on a moving object then the face comes suddenly.

Overall shit movie, but this jump scare was very well done:
maybe the only good jumpscare in the last decade
why hasn't she really been in anything besides the guest and it follows?
That's not a jump scare. It's good though.
lmao that's it? some guy in a t-shirt?
well yeah its not gonna be scary if you dont have a clue whats going on
Absolutely garbage movie, but one of the most intense and memorable jumpscares out there.
it's a pretty good movie, and the only worthy sequel out of all of them
>t. watched 1 and 3 back to back a few weeks ago
No, using sound like that is cheating
Quietness and then a sudden loud noise is cheating? What do you think a jumpscare is?
You’re an actual moron if you think that movie is garbage
Yes
I loved the reverse jump scare in paranormal activity 3 when the oscillating camera showed the little girl in the sheet approach the baby sitter from behind until the baby sitter turned around and the sheet dropped flat to the ground
FUUUUCK
The timing on this vid is perfect, catches you even on rewatch.
qrd?
You have to be 18 to post here
>6th grade social studies
>teacher about to open a ppt presentation
>see a video called ghost car on the desktop
>ask him about it
>"oh that? sure, I'll play it"
>plays it
>terrifies the shit out of me and all the other students in the class
>20 minutes later, hear the class next door scream in horror as well
I really wish I saw the look on my some of my classmates' faces when the jump scare happened, especially the hot chicks.
What movie
still the GOAT
lmfao
TAY TAY NOO
We could have had Taylor Swift in kino but you all laughed at her for cats and this
Toll paid
swifties today are like the israelites in the 1930s
I know you weirdos think every womanis a man because your brainwashed by Israeli shills. But I am convinced Tyler Swift is a man. If not then she is one ugly looking women IMO.
>jump scare
If only there was a word which communicates being startled oh wait
>Post jump scares.
>No jumpscares ITT
[spoilers]boo[/spoilers]
It's 'spoiler' not 'spoilers', fren
Frick you i shat bricks
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
What movie?
this shit was fricken demonic mang
literal demoralisation op
Imagine the ad they needed to hire that model
>we need the goofiest looking motherfricker ever and being fat is appreciated
pov you can order fresh chicken wings on amazon now. i never knew they had a deli section.
I think this is my favorite jump scare
that was a good movie
>crawls slowly towards you
what's scary about this?
has nice build-up, it's a good jump scare that's all
>that’s not the worm
>what?
>that’s not the worm. That’s his tongue
the film has quite a slow buildup and without context that clip might not seem too scary.
the premise is that those two are accidentally booked at the same airbnb in ghetto detroit and have to share it. throughout the evening, he is shown to act strangely. she takes the bedroom and locks the door, he takes the couch. she wakes up to find her door open and him gone. she checks the basement where she finds underground tunnels, and that's where the scene of him babbling incoherently and crawling around happens. it breaks a load of tension.
plus, just a few seconds after that webm ends, the real monster of the movie shows up for another jumpscare
kek this movie was good fun, a nice mix of comedy and horror
i liked how until this moment we weren't sure if he's a psycho or not. They were toeing the narrative line perfectly. Great movie
Really liked this movie. Probably liked the first half best, but second half is solid Sam Raimi shit
Early AI was good at making jumpscares
This movie had a lot of good jumpscares.
the fricking banjo music
whats this?
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Invasion of the body snatchers, the 70s one
The part in The Fog when JLC or someone goes to find the priest and he just walks out from behind a shadow is my favorite jump scare.
Yes
it helps that there's no big scream and LOOK AT ME SO SCARY SHAKY CAM but instead full darkness until the reveal
There was a really good one in Gothika. The film really fricked me up, but the jumpscare was a good one with Halle Berry crouching to look for something on the other side of the door and it's behind her. That shit got me good.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SHE LOOKED AT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>AAAWW HELL NAAWW
>YOU DID NOT JUST SPRAY HOLY WATER ON ME!
>Keep the name of the father the son and the holy spirit out yer frickin mouth
got me
you motherfricker
Also the part in 2 where Ock appears next to Harry on the roof.
Nah definitely goes to AVENGE ME or the operating room scene
https://twitter.com/openinterpreter/status/1770821439458840846
Why is the video AI? If the AI they were advertising was some videomaking AI I'd get it but it isn't.
Why is her voice so low?
no one saved her. there I said it.
>pushed into entertainment by shitty mom that wanted to live vicariously through her
>sold to 2 israeli pedophile youtubers when she was 14
>cut loose when she aged out
It was over before it began.
it hurts because I did nothing. I sat and watched it happen. I guess it was a slow-burn but I knew the ending jump scare.
get over yourself
>see this pic for the first
>unsettled by creepy thing behind normal dude
>look up movie
>see the creepy thing by itself
>it's just some dumb looking voodoo dude
That scene was very effective and creepy. Once they show him playing a fricking pipe organ, he becomes Saturday morning cartoon villain tier.
This scene spooked me pretty good at the theatre I never see it posted.
Saw this in the theater when I was a teen. made me piss my pantaloons
>mods turned on the random screamer for the thread
only for germans but there was a german version of "Autopsy: The Last Hours Of..." that only played in the hours close to midnight
now imagine as a child you fall asleep to a comfy kids movie then in the middle of the night on the same channel you wake up to dead people with whispering and beeping
it's very zoomer.
but scrolling in the middle of the night with a low brightness this got me the first time I saw it.
the scariest media that probably gets me the most is the one image where someone came in, took a selfie on someones phone, and then left
That's not scary
God i hate horror and jump scares, how do you guys enjoy this shit
the suspense and growing dread is exciting
I watch them for the atmosphere mostly. They also rarely have complex plots so you can just kinda switch off while watching.
My father was a big horror movie fan and made me watch them as early as 2 years old. I basically grew up with the medium, so I'm very used to horror.
Me too. I think there's a masochistic element to enjoying them, at least for jump scares.
People like being scared. It's an evolutionary function to stop us from simply cowering in fear or running away whenever we think something scary might happen.
Me when i see booba
Good one. The fact that it's so unexpected in the context of the scene, even if she had just ran down the stairs normally it would've been pretty shocking, but the unnatural movement of the crab walk makes it doubly disturbing.
Now that's a gif I haven't seen in a long time...
Does pic related count as a jump scare? Either way, this shit scared the frick out of me. I think its the only supernatural horror movie that has ever made me feel uneasy and even truly scared.
>lake mungo
