You seem to forget who started and is continually perpetuating this conflict. The Palestinians invaded Israel, not the other way around. The Palestinians refuse to accept a two state deal, they want it all. It is the stated purpose of Hamas and Hezbollah to kill every israelite in Palestine, genocide one way is wrong but the other way perfectly fine. And let's talk about that term genocide. Israel, if it really wanted to, could wipe out ever Palestinian in the region, the state has that capability. And in its most current war, within the first few months of war, they could have easily justified killing hundreds of thousands of those in Gaza, instead, after four months of brutal urban fighting Palestinians claim the death toll to be only 30,000. What Israel is doing isn't genocide, you want to know genocide, look at what the Ottomans did to the Armenians. They acted to completely exterminate that group of people with ruthless efficiency, and largely succeeded. In all the years that Israel has existed, the Palestinian population has grown significantly within its territory; if it's genocide, they are doing it pretty poorly.
All that being said, even if Israel was the oppressive, genocidal colony state that many claim it to be, why choose that cause to burn yourself for? Why not for the plight of any other people, for great injustices done against your own countrymen? I say it is mental illness not necessarily because of the delusion in their understanding of the Israel-Palestine conflict, but because it is a stupid thing to kill your self over. You might as well have a nice day because another civil war happened in Africa, your actions change nothing, and it only comes off as looking for an excuse to off yourself.
