Pretty pretty dresses is top-tier though. Peggy's turtle song kind of redeems itself because the whole episode is about bitter women trying to turn Peggy against her husband, but at the end she doesn't give in and sings the song she wants to sing instead of giving into societal pressure. Or do you not like those episodes because of the older animation style, you zoomer?

Bobby becoming a religious fanatic because it was so trite. A character gets crazy about something and pushes it too far to the cartoonish levels. It's so fricking tired just everyone going through the motions. Yeah yeah we get it Bobby you've become super religious today this is your gimmick before you give it up now frick off. It's a fricking My Little Pony level.
I liked the episode and honestly Hank was kind of being a dick about the whole thing.

Okay, but that's how kids actually are. And the point of the episode wasn't Bobby's sudden fickle zealotry, it was more to make fun of the "cool" christian movement that was popping up everywhere in the white suburbs in those days. And it did a good job of it.

Not even close to worst episode. The Dusty Hill reality show or the Country Music festival with Randy Travis come to mind as my least favourites.
All the guest star episodes feel shittier, like the ZZ Top one. They feel like proto Lisa Goes Gaga episodes.
I disagree, I think the country music fest episode with a bunch of musicians making fun of themselves was great. It avoided the common Simpsons guest star traps and made the guest stars background characters to the main plot.
There's good ways to do it and bad ways to do it. The self depreciating cameos, like Chuck Mangiones, or Nimoy in the Simpsons, are funny. The ones that exist to fellate the guest star and generate hype based solely on their appearance are cringe

I remember the animation being particularly awful for picture related. Surprising how much of reused animations you can fit into a single episode.

Nah, that was cool. The real shit episode was the demon filler shit. Everything from that point up until kid Goku meets that fox kid was a drag.
I always skip from WMAT1 to when he meets the fox kid right before WMAT2 when I rewatch. And I skip Garlic Jr. and everyone dicking around for 10 days before the Cell games.
That's about 1/3 of the show that you just casually skip. Seems excessive.

I'm in s3 at the moment. One of the most unremarkable episodes i remember was the one where they travel to mexico. It wasn't annoying, but i never laughed, compared to almost every other episode. I guess this isn't a popular opinion
I laughed maybe 5 times watching through the entire show. I still enjoy it but I don't know why.
This one is fairly obvious but I would say any clip show episode is the worst of any given show because it's not really even an original episode for 90% of it

The show was great, but it had a lot of bad episodes

Nah topical Futurama is almost always trash you're not wrong. There was a pretty harsh decline in quality for the show, especially after the relaunch. The Fast n Furious spoof episode is another garbage one too

MOTW consumes something from a human to stay alive was my favourite recurring story type. The only thing I disliked in that one was the bleeding heart immigration butthole who gloates about shipping an entire clan of Africans over. The Michael Jackson joke is vintage Mulder and you get some great down top shots of scully crawling through vents.
Yeah Mulders banter was good and the last five minutes were decent but overall it's bland and the side characters are boring ESLs. I'd rather watch Teso Dos b***hos. kek
