Cute. The film is alright, lacks stronger catharsis
Haven't seen that and I like him but I'm surprised he was able to still cobble another movie together.
I stopped watching movies years ago. I watched some Mel Gibson thriller where he's a radio host that was OK. The twist was actually half decent

why do people spend so much money to watch a tired story about an old white guy that killed millions, but they don't show up to watch a Latin super hero?

Why not add a a bit commentary?
Oppenheimer (2023) - 10
IMAX 70mm, great experience, the film does not slow down at all up until the bomb detonates, the entire cast is top notch
The Longest Yard (2005) - 5
Killers of the Flower Moon (2023) - 8
Good, but nothing out of ordinery
The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) - 10
Saw it recently for the first time since cinema, great.
The Matrix Reloaded (2003) - 9
The Matrix Revolutions (2003) - 9
They get the bad rep for not being as thought out as the first one, and they are not. Still great sci-fi action epic
Death Proof (2007) - 6
Loved the first half, the second one has annoying cast.
Zombieland (2009) - 5
Meh
Starship Troopers (1997) - 10
Classic
Kuolleet lehdet (2023) - 6
Cute. The film is alright, lacks stronger catharsis
You didn't like when Stone Cold Steve Austin called that guy a Black person?
As an addendum to this, Longest Yard is an awesome movie if you like pro wrestling and early 2000's hip hop artist cameos.
You mean Nelly?
Despite all the incorrect jokes, the film surprisingly lacks genuine edge.
I understand. I'm surprised that scene is in there at all. The rest of the movie is pretty light hearted, I guess they didn't want people cheering for the guards because all the wrestlers were playing them.

>Why? I am not a member of the Anglo-sphere. Original name or local name, I always file the films under the original name.
only 2 out of 10 were first watches (van helsing and pitch black...but I think I saw these too a long time ago)
>Van helsing - too corny and shitty effects, overall OK
>Hellboy the golden army - great movie, love it
>Hellboy - this time I liked it more than the second
>Pitch black - OK movie, not a fan of Vin Diesel and lol at people gasping at the revelation that one of the boys was a girl...I mean, really? the moment I saw her I knew
>The abyss - too fricking long but alright
>Contact - love this movie and Jodie Foster
>Sphere - I like this too but the more answers we get the less interesting it gets, even the book
>In the mouth of madness - Sam Neill is kino but this time I didn't really like this movie, without him it would be forgotten, the woman's acting is atrocious
>Event horizon - I like this one too but it could have been much better
>Prince of darkness - didn't like it the first time but now I loved it
I spent like 3 minutes typing this shit someone reply to me you homosexuals.
kek
van helsing was bad ass as frick when I watched this as a kid. one of those movies i like to keep in memory.
based hellboy enjoyer. I prefer the first because I cant get past the start of stories. initial reveals, that sort of thing.
pitch black - frick yea. that kid gave me one of my first confused boners as a child and probably is what lead me to like some tomboys.
ITMOM is a classic but I too was underwhelmed a bit.
havent seen the rest but would like to. esp event horizon.
I'd say start with Prince of darkness. Or Contact. It might be about astronomy on the surface but really it's about the religion and God. Rewatching it I realized how tiny Jodie Foster really is.
Anyway I might be biased because I started out studying astronomy.
>van helsing was bad ass as frick when I watched this as a kid. one of those movies i like to keep in memory.
I would have probably loved this movie as a kid. Anyway I have a story about it (Europoor here). For a long time I looked like the typical metalhead and one time when I got onto the bus home after highschool some gypsy teenager (he was with his...friends?) said loudly "damn, van helsing has arrived". I burst out laughing, still one of the funniest shit I've ever heard.

M3GAN - really enjoyed
Streets of Fire - really x2 enjoyed
The Creator - walked out, but visually excellent, (mostly) excellent performances
Mortal Kombat - the new one. Very well cast and acted, poorly written
I can't remember before that.
>Excalibur
>Spy Game
>Carlito's Way
>Interstellar
>Kopps
>Ichi The Killer
>The Discovery
>Heat (had to get it on)
>Bound
>Blade II
I'm sick and mostly in bed, so I've been watching a lot of movies I've seen many times before, and a lot of movies I've never seen for one reason or another.
Ichi The Killer is fricking garbage and I didn't finish it, and Spy Game is a fricking pointless movie.
Carlito's Way is a fricking disappointment, that's for sure.
Excalibur is incredibly beautiful, and even though I hate theatrical overacting, bad sound (both quality and effects), and historical inauthenticity, it was worth the watch and if anyone hasn't seen it I highly recommend it. The overacting actually becomes quite charming and more or less fades away as the story takes a more serious tone.
And The Discovery was ok, it's one of those movies I'm glad I didn't know anything about before watching, so it became more interesting.
The rest I've seen before.

Scooby Doo and the Alien Invaders (2000) - top kino, did crazy things to me as a kid. alien gf still hot
Silverado (1985) - weird zany characters. Costner jumping around like De Niro in Irishman was pretty regarded.
the social network - what a horrific piece of shit
The One Percent (2006) - absolute based bannedkino
Spy Kids (2001) - Machete 0, pretty fricking sick. no mini dinos tho 4/10
Lost in Translation - WHy the frick do people like this trash? I could feel my wiener butchering itself into a puss as the movie went on.
Cop Land (1997) - Weird casting imo but I still enjoy this movie.
The Wolf of Wallstreet - was getting drunk and high and this movie goes great with that mood
The Firm (1993) - this is another weirdo ass movie. great chase scene though.
Alien - almost went blind in act 3.

>War of the Worlds (2005)
0/10 a complete non-entity. utterly soulless dogshit and a rare Tom Cruise miss.
>Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning part 1
7/10, good movie but tried to do too much.
>The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003, Biel)
7/10 they literally do not make movies like this anymore. one of the most "of an era" movies I've ever seen, very similar in feeling if not content to Cube, Timecrimes, and Splinter.
>>War of the Worlds (2005)
>0/10 a complete non-entity. utterly soulless dogshit and a rare Tom Cruise miss.
I'd heem you for this.
if you haven't seen it since you were young you should rewatch it with a critical eye. It's all style with no substance beyond the very beginning where Tom Cruise plays a working man and bad father. Everything after the arrival is just lights blinking randomly in the distance without merit or meaning, pure hollywood cashgrab.
Well I agree and I was just replying for the blatant scream for attention 0/10 score. I remember watching it in the kinoplex with my mom and those fricking horns scared the frick out of me (I was around 14). Walking out the cinema I 100% expected to see tripods destroying the city.
Also I can't stand that guy who played the...guy...in the basement. I can never remember his name. Frick him.
Tim Robbins
Well frick. Looked it up and you are right. The one I can't stand is Tom Hanks. Tim Robbins is good and Jacob's ladder is one of my fav movies. I always mistake these two guys. I take it back then.
Oh and yes, I actually rewatched it multiple times when I was older.
are you pushing some meme
what?
I don't remember the last 10, but I watched Antichrist last night and it was just okay. I don't care much for shock value gore. The funniest part was the dedication to Tarkovsky in the credits
