watched the english dub last weekend at a special release in nyc, it was excellent.
Had no idea it was Robert Pattinson until I saw the credits
Will definitely be seeing dub this week; is sub worth seeing too?
I really liked the sub, but the dub has a really good cast and I can't wait to see it again dubbed.

Considering how well the dub is done and how visual the movie is, I don't think there's any reason to watch the movie with subs.
I like to see the difference between translation and localization, but IKWYM.
If you can, always watch movies in original. For dubs, they have to translate everyting so that it fits the animation. This often leads to wildly different translations
I'm not dub-allergic; a good cast with a good voice director can be just as good or even exceed the sub even with the limitations on the lip synching. I don't wanna get in the dub-sub pissing match here, there's plenty of animations I love in the original language and some I prefer in English (or even an entirely different language).
I mean sure, but in this case it's not even dialogue heavy. The main character is almost mute, so it really doesn't matter much.

Cringe. Miyazaki has always been elevated by English audio.
Lies. Mononoke's dub was hit garbage and so was Spirited Away's. Nausicaa got close but translators "localized " the dialogue too much. No dub has ever improved above the original.
