Unicorn Warriors Eternal. It is the most nonsensical dogshit I ever watched. All of the characters look like popeye, shit just happens, the show just makes shit up as its going it seems, and also they want you to take it seriously. It is the single most tonally inconsistant piece of media I have ever watched.l by a large margin and I have no idea who the core audience is even supposed to be.
All I know is it was supposed to air on HBO so I assumed it was aimed at adults, looks like I dodged a bullet by avoiding it entirely.

The animation and art was cool but nah the show itself wasn't great.
I liked the scenery and props but the characters were all drawn like betty boop. Not sure what posessed Genndy to ask "what if they made an action cartoon in the 30s" but I guess we know the answer now.

I could have forgiven the shit ending if he didn't waste like five minutes on an already bloated and crammed episode with Meera's backstory when that was completely unnecessary. It actively harmed the story given that the showdown with the antagonist they had been building up to all season was like a minute and a half of disappointment
They should have kept the original idea of making the Scorpion some despotic warlord-slaver instead of a dollar store Satan that the main characters never even directly interact with
They really should've trimmed the pirate kween arc down one episode and spent more time on whatever the frick this fireball homie could've been.
Fricking tragic that they managed great pacing for short 20 min episodes across most of the series and then Genndy still somehow manages to rush the frick out of the ending.

It is to live for the purposes of ensuring your genetic survival and nothing else. to live for one's children, to die for them and to kil for them. spear is dead in perhaps a medical sense but in a primal sense he is still alive. Mira gave the greatest service a female can do for a male and that is to bear his children and in turn she secured her own clan's survival and genetic future with his superior genes.
Why are people so mad over the fact Spear died? He survived tons of insane magical and monstrous bullshit before a literal fire demon from hell who HE DEFEATED managed to finally mortally wound him. Him living on through his child with Mira is a good bittersweet end, his spirit finally reunites with his original family in death but his bloodline lives on.
It's not so much the events as how rushed it feels. The show takes its sweet ass time lingering in "moments" for most of the runtime and then you have all the events you just detailed take place in like 2 minutes.
Although I still think it would've been more kino if Spear and Fang had died together.

The last season fell apart after episode 6. Everything with the ship was bad and it felt like they got bored with it. They rushed through heaps of ahistorical stuff which could have been fleshed out and cool. Just like the faustian part was insanely rushed.
I have now idea how the third season will go, I think it will only be good if it is an anthology from here on.
Genndy has generally difficulty wrapping his works. SJ5 suffered similar a fate with a great beginning/middle and a lackluster conclusion.
In his defense I don't know how much of an influence the network has when it comes to season scheduling or if it's just a problem of his.
