I hope he still avoids dialogue wherever possible though, it feels much more raw when you limit the character's ability to exposit and just explaining plot details ends up feeling cheap after the first season. It wouldn't always make sense but there's plenty of perfectly reasonable excuses depending on the story, like the soldiers in a foxhole can't communicate except in brief lulls in the explosions and gunfire
