>prismo flipping out that his boss is gonna hold him responsible for something

>prismo flipping out that his boss is gonna hold him responsible for something
>puts a lot of emphasis on the words "my boss", even repeating them
>jake ponders who his boss is out loud
>never brought up again
>we never find out
>not even in supplementary material

What the actual frick did they mean by this
were the AT writers just making up plot hooks and forgetting about them?

    >were the AT writers just making up plot hooks and forgetting about them?
Yes, apparently (and evidentially by the shows massive quality dip) there was a large period there around the Rebecca Sugar era where work on the show became an absolute disaster and everyone was just running around like a chicken with their head cut off.

So you're saying is that everything Rebecca Sugar touches turns to shit.

Yes, Rebecca is unironically one of the worst thing to happen to modern cartoons whose poisonous influence is still rearing its ugly ukulele playing head today.

he's talk about God, but you know: kids show, so- can't just say that.
    I thought that was obvious.

AT has their own name for God which they use all the time, and various other modern kids shows mention God. Amphibia did it just last month

I think it was just for power-scaling/theory-crafting. Like oh my God there's someone even MORE powerful than Prismo and he's going to kick Finn a d Jake's asses because he's pissed.
Revealing who it is ruins the mystery? Maybe. It can't defeat the imagination of the fans so any reveal would make it seem less grand than some unimaginable power the fans can't really conceive.

Wasn't the Cosmic Owl Prismo's boss? Isn't he the Adventure Time capital-G God?

I think that was just him trying to make excuses.

Or if you want to pretend the writers were clever, it was him completing the circle of him originally asking himself about the boss in the first place.

      >I think that was just him trying to make excuses.
Mostly this. I have to assume there were higher cosmic forces and rules which needed to be abide to, but Prismo didnt want to explain all that and just made an excuse of "a boss" for them to just accept.

Not everything has to be a plot hook. Plus with how they handled stuff like the comet, Gunther, and Jake being an ayy lmao, it would've been disappointing anyways

      >"uhhh, not everything is a plot hook :///"

but yes you are correct, would have been supremely disappointing.

I think similar to IT HURTS!! There's an infinite amount of staircases going up in the level of deities.
Golb is a baby, where did he come from? Is there a Golb mom? In charge of omniverse chaos.

I sort of want to but it seems convoluted. Is forming good?

Not in the slightest. Well, there were a few good pages. But I mainly just appreciate the spiritual blending.
You know, there's lot of fantasy novels out there that take all gods from different cultures and shove them into a world together. So you see Loki interact with Anubis or something.
It's neat. But it's not spiritually significant.

Forming does this in a way that it gets the spiritual side of things, but at the same time, doesn't take itself serious because the story keeps moving forward. Any and all epiphanies are un-ceremonial.
Like trying to paint with watercolors on a glass canvas or something. But the color can't sink in because here's nothing to sink into.

Hes one of several wishmasters and killing him is a cosmic crime, so assumably there's some high wishmaster or other authority enforcing it and maintaining the citadel. Does it matter though?
