stupid insects and their compulsive need to wear masks everywhere all the time since 2020. one of my favorite things to do while i lived there was go to one of the most crowded malls in my area maskless after the gym and mog them in every way possible while getting a nice dinner for like $6 USD since the yen is worthless now.
It's a whimsical family musical dramedy. It did exactly what it set out to do. If it's not your thing you will likely *gasp* not like it very much. I saw it and it was well done. Not my thing really, but I saw it with my family and enjoyed the overall experience (the kids loved the movie).
tl;dr - you knew beforehand whether you were gonna like it and you bloody well know it

Honestly, both. But it wasn't nauseating by any stretch.
Hugh Grant basically comes in and steals the show about 2/3rds of the way in. He was by far my favorite part of the whole film.

Literally the worst part in Dune. He absolutely disappears when he shares the screen with anyone else. Just looks like he wants to go take a nap while the rest of them carry the scene forward.

It was fine for a kids movie, the only real problem was the titular character is absolutely nothing like the Dahl character. He’s not some super friendly candy man magician, he’s a borderline sociopath whose motivations border on Eldritch. Movie did have a scene that made Olivia Colman look like a top tier slampig so it does have that going for it
