I heard there would be a they/them character because someone posted the novelization here, but I never heard any unusual pronouns, and unless I misheard all they say is "she has a girlfriend". Another person told me they heard the same, so idk if this actor realizes or not.

Do normies even know what nonbinary is? It took normies almost a decade to understand what trans was. We need to label it as "no-gender" and tell them it's a form of trans to really cancel Elemental.

I'll never understand the whole nonbinary shit. What do you even call them? A boyfriend? A girlfriend?

      A they/themfriend?

I think that anyone who comes out as nonbinary doesn't have enough real world problems to focus on. They're lives are so boring and mundane that they wake up and think, "I think I'll become neither gender today."

If you're not a he/she, then you're an IT. It just sounds so stupid. Like don't you have real issues to diagnose. Not making up titles like you're playing pretend.

If society is SOOOO accepting and so progressive then why is this a thing. Men can be women and women can be men. Hobbies are not specific to any gender so nonbinaries shouldn't even exist.

They/Thems don't love themselves. They hate themselves and their bodies so much that they'll just make up another gender and people will just be like "Oh okay."

Reminds me of people makng up sexualities.

      I love my gays/lesbians.

Trannies creep me out. Mutilating yourself to feel good in your body. Sounds like a case of not being loved as a child nor as a teenager. Once again, seek THERAPY.

Nonbinaries, I block and avoid at all cost. Too many mental gymnastics. They don't need a new gender identity, they need therapy.

I can't wait for our robot overlords.

Tattoos and piercings are entirely aesthetic.

They aren't discordant ideas, trans women are women and they're also trans. "Man who became a woman" doesn't align with their truth because from their perspective they've always been a woman. When people say "trans women are women" they don't mean that literally, they just don't want to reinforce the narrative that trans women are lesser women. Just smile, nod and say no thank you if one ever tries to date you (they won't)

There's a catch-all term for significant others and it's "partner." I dislike when straight people use it because it comes off as trying too hard. I guess it's so you can't immediately clock the user of the word as queer but I wish people would just fricking say who they're fricking instead of leaving me wondering, but I guess bigoted pieces of shit like you discourages people from cutting to the chase.

          >bigoted pieces of shit like you
Being honest about your confusion makes you a bigot? You’re literally proving that anon’s point. Nobody is able to understand you guys because if someone questions it they get attacked. Another thing I think is telling is a lot of people in the lgtbq community have different definitions of things. I know trans people that only want to be accepted as one gender, people that want to be accepted as swapping between different genders, and people that want to be accepted as both genders. Some want you to treat them as men or women, some want you to treat them as a third type of individual. Some treat their gender identities as separate people almost and might use multiple names. If they’re encouraging people to express themselves, why are we being lectured one perfect way to describe someone that they themselves might not even believe in. It’s pretty hypocritical.

I’m sure this is true for some people, I don’t want to make assumptions about everyone. I just know from experience, the two trans people i know irl (a former high school friend and someone I knew in college), both wanted “a new start.” This meant completely ghosting their old friends because the “trauma was too great” or something. I reached out to them and even showed support for their transitioning if it meant they were happy, but it didn’t change that they just wanted to hang out with new people and retroactively label me a bigot for not recognizing signs early. And I’m not even bringing up to them my opinions on hormone drugs or mental health, it’s their lives to live, but it saddens me that they feel they have to completely detach from their former selves. I can’t reminisce about times we spent with each other because they see it as 25 years of living a lie. I have to consider these old friends dead, and they want that to.

They must have done it for this movie because it got approved lmao. Not that they actually use identifying pronouns like the schizo in OP’s post, but they do mention “her girlfriend”. I’m guessing they tweaked that for China.

          Anonymous

Do they really mention "her" girlfriend? I thought nonbinary people claim that they're neither men nor women. If the movie is using the he/she pronoun binary, how is that character nonbinary? What makes her different from a woman who's just androgynous or masculine?
Doesn't sound like there's much to fix for the Chinese release. "He" and "she" sound the same in Chinese. If they mention a girlfriend, Chinese audiences will probably just assume that the character in the OP is a dweeby-looking guy.
