There is ice on top of land if that melts that will increase the amount of water.

Is there really that much ice floating above the water? The ocean is fricking huge, seems like you'd need a lot of ice to make a difference.

                Anonymous

That's the point, it's not "floating", it's resting on top of the land. If you were to remove the land and have the ice float in the water then yes the sea levels would not change when the ice melts but this ice is not "in the water".

No because the ice is the only thing preventing Antarctica from capsizing. If it melts then the whole thing flips and the waves caused by the splashing refreezes so the net sea level doesn't change.

Where I live now is a hundred meters above the sea but used to be under sea level during the ice age. The ice also pushes the land it lays on top of down, raising sea levels.

Bizarre claims that don't carry. There is some relation between skull weight, strength and brain size of which the jaw has a part but the tolerable limit allows for much bigger jaws than we have so it's absolute nonsense to make that relation.

To play devils advocate, we could look to societies that have eaten bugs and ask if they report any harm in eating bug digestive systems.
Also I heard one anon say how since bugs are herbivores the crossover for harmful bacteria is very minimal because you're dealing with bacteria that primarily targets plants. Like how eating moldy break doesn't really make you life threatningly ill, just a little queesy maybe nauseous.

The process of cleaning the digestive track is quite simple, we already do this for crayfish through The process of “purging”, also consider that insects are bred in Laboratory conditions for multiple generations to remove diseases, if you’re feeding these insects clean plant material it shouldn’t be a problem.

We’re so father genetically removed from arthropods it’s even more unlikely that a virus or disease could jump to mammals.

            >muh hypocrisy
Why are conservatoids such cucks? Obviously politics isn't about playing fair, it's about punishing your enemies and for most people that means their neighbors essentially.

Well thanks at least for not even pretending to keep the mask on.
Yes people, this is what all 'compassionate lovers of progress' are really like at heart; mad dogs that care nothing for society or civilization or patrimony, only the opportunity to snap and bite to paper over their nihilistic envy and spite, until they kill each other in mutual suicide, or real humans put them down like the animals they are.

suffering and pain are just receptors that something is wrong. its not a moral standard, those are survival tools, nothing more.

see, you're thinking this is a gotcha, but people need to suffer and die. if anything, there is too many people alive, diminishing all the resources for nothing. thats why i advocate to kill all Black folk, chinese and indians in the world. covid was a fricking hoax. i wish it were half as deadly as the governments made it out to be so we can be rid of brainlets like you.

Genetically modify them with shellfish DNA and I'll consider it. I've eaten bugs before and they taste awful. Also tell the powerful militaries and third world countries to stop fricking with the environment. Me turning the lights on in the evening or occasionally burning a tank of fuel isn't the problem.

Here's the neat part: in actuality you'll be the one paying that price because of you "upstanding" morals (read: you're a fricking idiot) and I'll keep eating red meat for decades to come. It's really the best of two worlds, I'll enjoy it even more knowing that you stuff yourself with bugs because you think you're doing a noble thing

People will be forced to eat bugs wether they like or not when meat becomes so expensive only the rich will be able to buy it. This is why we need to hurry up and make lab-made meat a reality

I'm starting to care less about the state of the planet. It's already fricked and I'll be dead before there's any sort of right up in my face repercussions. After something inevitably kills us all, the earth will heal and then start the process over.

European scientists are complaining that insect populations have declined in Europe which brings a negative effects to farming. Yeah but we will eat ze bugs.
