Asians don't even like darker-skinned asians. For example they don't wear those veils in India because of muslim influences, they wear them because of a history where dark-skinned girls were seen as inferior to light-skinned ones, so parents made sure that their daughters didn't walk around in direct sunlight and get a tan. It's why you sometimes get Indian families where the father is some guy who works outside and he's dark as hell, while his wife and daughters are a light cream. Because they never tanned once in their life.

The last thing I fricking want is seeing characters have a panic attack when I've steeled myself enough to go to the movies, because the whole fricking point of the movies is that it's easier to distract yourself and not think about having a panic attack while sitting in a crowd of people. >Panic attacks are common and can hit anyone, even a super hero!

I am forty-two years old and I have never encountered anyone who has had a panic attack. To my knowledge I do not know anyone, who knows anyone, who has had a panic attack. I would call that rare.

It seems almost exclusively a younger generation north-american thing.

It's exclusively something recluses and NEETs have which is why you'll rarely see it in public because such people never leave their rooms. Miles having panic attacks makes no sense since he's sociable and used to dangerous situations by now

Even back 10 years ago people were worried about over-diagnosing kids with ADD/ADHD. The problem still isn’t gone and we just added more illness to the list of over-diagnoses and more drugs to “help” with those problems.

I know that animated characters having realistic panic attacks is a meme but given how ATSV ended the premise of Miles having visions of an alternate version of himself could work really well as a cold open for BTSV

Fictional heroes were once something that children and manchildren used as a way to improve themselves. "Getting panicked isn't what ____ would do, he'd be brave" and such. Adopting heroic traits into your otherwise mundane life. Now we demand that our heroes be reduced to our level because the thought of self improvement is too spoopy and hard, and it's in turn creating weak heroes to inspire even weaker generations.

You're not a smart or brave person for romanticizing being a frightened little pussy.

I don't remember kids having panic attacks because they're an almost invincible superhero which they were gifted through another dead superhero by a multiversal Spider all while being one of the smartest and most talented artist in the fricking story who has a blonde trannie wife waiting for him desperately wanting him to suck her feminine wiener. By the way anyone can wear the dilation mask. Deal with it.

I hope you all realize, panic attacks and anexity aren't bad things to have in your movies.
The issue here is that they feel the need to fricking shout it at the top of their lungs and obnoxiously shove it in your face

Movies and media, work best when they're SUBTLE dammit, trust your audience enough for them to pick up on how a character is feeling and not just shouting in their face "THIS CHARACTER IS STRESSED, THEY ARE GOING THROUGH THINGS AND CAN'T TALK TO OTHER PEOPLE ABOUT IT, THIS IS DRAMA! DO YOU GET IT!?"

Batman has had tons of moments working out his stress of the things he's gone through, but the filmmakers didn't fricking shout it at you

I agree. But there are morons who will reach and stretch. In the Mario Movie towards the end battle, Mario collects himself in the pizza diner after getting pummeled by Bowser. He sits there for a while, then gets back into the fight. It wasn’t a panic attack, but after Puss’s attack starting getting mainstream attention, people were praising Mario’s “panic attack”.
Hopefully these movies will shut the frick up avout panic attacks, and I hope the mentallly I’ll don’t call everything a panic attack when it’s not.
