The ending of Fraction's FF it was actually Ghost written by Allred and his brother
Lang discovered that Pym Particles work on 3 axes: size, density, and strength
And used the Strength and Density axes to stay the same size but become strong enough to beat the shit out of Doom who wasn't expecting it
The FF kids explained what happened, and how Vision and Wonder Man and Atlas are all connected
The rational part of my brain thinks about the dangers of power-creep and how it can be bad for characters and the setting.
But the monkey part of my brain loves when my favorite characters get a power boost, so I can't hate the idea of Ant-Man getting super strength and maybe energy powers, the Wonder-Ant-Man
It also doesn't really make sense. I can sort of see connecting it to Vision going dense and intangible, but not really the energy that makes Ionic people super tough and strong with glowy eyes.
Probably because Atlas/Goliath mixed both. He was an ionic guy that also grew giant for some reason. It was easier to say he was just using some special variant of pym particles.
I feel like Giant Man is a dumb idea when on a team full of strong guys that are stronger than him at his largest anyway, while also being super durable on top of that. Pym as Giant Man tends to just make himself a big target and bets roughed up way more often.
But a 20 foot tall guy with 15 ton strength means little when on a team with Thor, Carol, She-Hulk, Wonder Man, Hercules, Iron Man, Vision, Sentry, and Ares.
Hank may not be Class 100 strength. But having super strength isn't his main contribution
He's a jack of all trades. >He grows and gets strong >He shrinks and gets harder to track >He controls insects, >he carries shrunken equipment, >He's a super scientist with accomplishments in Particle physics, chemistry, entomology, bio-engineering and robotics
He doesn't have to be as strong as Thor or Hulk (although his upper strength levels are nothing to scoff at and if directed well can do just as much damage as they can)
He is a wildcard who adapts to whatever the situation calls for
Is a good idea when the power is an actual big deal and he can grow past 20 feet and gains way more strength because of it which has happened before in the comics but for a long while there were way too many limitations that his growth could be a disadvantage
Anon it might sound dumb but lemme put it this way, if I was on a super hero team I would long for more than one strong person because you never know when all the others are going to be busy

Adaptations usually downplay a character's power for the sake of realism but with Giant-Man he's actually quite a big deal, the MCU basically speedran the limitations and drawbacks of this transformation. First time he ever used and it took the combined efforts of Team Iron Man to stop him from using them as ragdolls and he was just 65 ft tall which was his limit, until he grew like 200 ft for Endgame and could fight against Thanos' strongest soldiers and not pass out. And apparently if we adjust the scale, he was way bigger in Quantumania, kaiju tier at least.
If you gave pym particles to another character who would it be? I feel like some Spider-Man villains would love to get their hands on some P.P. (hehehe). Like Shocker would go from a street-threat to skyscraper level.
I liked it when they tried to give some to Reptil so he could overcome his limitation of only transforming parts of his body into Dinosaur parts, and with the extradimensional mass of the Pym Particles try to transform his entire body into Dinosaurs much bigger than himself
I think it ended up being more of a self imposed mental block but still that was smart
HOW DO THEY WORK?
Earth water fire dirt. Frickin Pym particles how do they work?!
They just work, okay?
They work really well too!
By the power of Pyms hopes and dream
What the frick they even are? Gas, liquid? All the above
They are PYM PARTICLES
Ionic energy being retconned as a variant of Pym Particles is pretty moronic.
When did that happen

Well, i don't know about that but does that mean that on paper, it makes pym particles even more busted?

Does he ever explain why his costume is so ugly

Hank knows how to dress
Which one
do you have a more hq version of this pic
There was a more up to date version with future Ant-Man but I don't have that one
Hank Pymp
We need more Kaiju fights
>Hank Pym
Mentally unstable wife beater. That's all that he his.
No
False!

Beetle should get some pym particles

Stilt-Man had a shrinking ray in his first appearance
