Question for femanons: do you ever self inserted as april? What do you think about the changes to make to her more "relatable" or whatever?

I don't care for this turtle shit
Femanon here. I insert as Michelangelo (and sometimes Donatello).

My fricking sides.
Can't think of a single instance of doing so. She's never been the most interesting character in the franchise, she's just...consistently there.
well at least she looks like a turtle now
>femanons
>implying women use a site infested with chudcels
You'd be surprised.
But April is a boring plot device.
Who else but the fujos would make shotas and South park threads?
You gays doom this board the moment you start making SU threads.
What's with all the fricking April threads? No one gives a shit about your movie
They're triggered by Black April even though the original April from the comics wasn't white
She was though.
Here's a panel from the original comic.
I haven't seen the movie and I'm indifferent about her updated design. Incels mad because she isn't serviceable towards the male gaze. Guess what? Neither are the turtles.
Most people don’t like looking at ugly things.
ok moron then where is my eye candy I the movie?
*in the movie
Ginger to black, lol I can't relate to her at all
women dont liked turtles
I felt like she was more relatable than the original version of April. But I think she should have simply been a new character created like Superfly instead of taking away the OG April.
People who are upset when a character gets drastically changed are often men and it's usually women characters who get changed. The reason they're mad is because said female character was probably a first or very early cartoon crush. They don't like seeing a character they have some early attachment to be drastically changed and especially if the change = they're ugly as sin.
The reverse scenario can be true, but the "female changed, male angry" is much more common. If you made Angel Dust or Johnny Bravo fricking ugly, a bunch of women would be up in arms as well.
Obviously, we would still have some culture war bullshit, but do you think we would be getting NEARLY as many complaints if Ariel and April's redesigns were still super cuties?
There are no women on Cinemaphile.

I've worked on projects with anons from Cinemaphile, /vp/, Cinemaphile, etc before.
I'd say around 1 in 10 (/v/) to 1 in 5 (/vp) anons are women, and that's excluding trans people (who are also more numerous then you'd think, though most of those projects were back in the early 2010s so there may be less now)
