I really hope so. Not even for any malicious reason, it's just been fricking ages since any of the cast members have had a meaningful relationship change.
yeah, i think the last breakup was faye and angus like 2000 pages ago
In fairness to Jeph, most people don't go through that many breakups. Also breakups can also become crutches for creating character drama because it is so easy.
Individual people? Sure, most cap out in the 3-6 range somewhere in their late 20s. Groups of several dozen 20somethings? Something or someone's always getting shaken up.
Most of the cast has gone through one or two breakups or has been shot down by the person they were chasing, and the comic only covers about 4 years at most at this point.
>hsts
gay man pretending to be a woman so he can trick straight men into sex >agps
straight man pretending to be a woman so he can trick lesbians into sex
I think the implication with the dark panel was that Marten was starting to panic over >her breaking up with him
it's like when you're watching a show and the main character gets bad news like their parents or their wife died and the background slowly fades to black and the people talking start becoming more and more muddled until eventually they go "hey, you okay?" and they suddenly snap out of it
I get it's lighting for a tone shift but it's incredibly clumsy, especially when contrasted in the next panel not with a neutral tone or a return to a bright background but instead his pure white beat panel that is now more of a consistent mainstay than characters closing their eyes.
Pbck did another timeskip, and now he gets to pick new haircuts and various design changes for the characters again, so he’s probably getting a feel for the new looks and making things kinda wonky while he experiments. We’ll either get used to it, or he’ll even it out on his own.
It was there...It was fricking there. Marten and Claire about to end, but nooo, can't have any sort of fun. Wasted.
don't lose hope lads. if claire gets the job they might still break up

>Thinking that Marten isn't just going to go with her.
There is no reason to be hopeful about a breakup.
>getting dumped by a troony
Now that's gotta be a gut punch.
That's probably rarer than finding a mtf who actually wants to date men and not just larp a lesbian.
lots of trannies are hsts and not agps, but being online a lot will give you the impression that they're all "lesbians"
For those of us who aren't woke tumblrinas, what do those alphabet soup terms mean?
>hsts

Do it Jeph. Pull the ripcord. Let Marten be free. Let him break up and for pintsize immediately offer him a pity blowjob.
God imagine being so desperate that you have to start fricking a troony and then you're actually the one to get dumped
It was just daytime, and now the (wildly inconsistent lighting and shading) implies it's nighttime. Did Marten have to wait a whole shift for this?

Dolly Zoom. Jaws and Sam Raimi approves
I wasn't even talking about the dolly zoom, I was thinking more of the slow zoom
>Prioritize You're Needs
>prioritize you are needs
this was an edit, wasnt it
You should learn how to read before you criticize grammar

They are just in a dark alley.
bruv you can see the dark sky in panel 2
First the robots took control of the water, and then the sky.
I swear I remember genuinely enjoying this comic in 2007. Did it get worse, or was I just moronic back then
bit of both really
>Cinemaphile predicts they'll break up
>they don't
Ahh the good end.
Why do the character designs look so weird now? Martens face looks like it's melting
Pbck did another timeskip, and now he gets to pick new haircuts and various design changes for the characters again, so he’s probably getting a feel for the new looks and making things kinda wonky while he experiments. We’ll either get used to it, or he’ll even it out on his own.

I wish I could be as optimistic as you
In next week's episode, Marten mysteriously contracts monkey pox
who did it better?
Honestly I think Jeph did a decent job of showing "I'm shocked and sad and confused" vs. "what in the frick even is this b***h"
>Yes Marten. You were a good 'practice boyfriend', but there's this cute guy named Steve and the bussy wants what the bussy wants.
I see Heph is floating the idea of breaking them up and gauging the reaction.
You have to not avoid all feedback to gauge reactions.
Gauging reactions is the only way to pander effectively.
all he has to gauge is his betabux
>10k a month
>Jeff probably thinks how poor he was back then now that he makes over 50k a month
I'm jelly
>the joke is that he dives into a sewage pipe every night and risks a sewer disease
you guys unironically read this shit?
No, but I do bankroll jeph so he can keep making more of it.
>if we ever break up
lmao so he was right, it is on the table.
why is Marten so weird and emaciated looking
is he actually just on the verge of suicide regardless
