Why do you post this if even you don’t like it Anon? Don’t you realize your advertising the comic? If you want it to die ignore it don’t post it for others to see.
Areola was pretty annoying with her incessant "I can ask my secret AI god bestie uwu" routine but it's bringing the robutts back to the foreground so whatever. Don't skimp on the sexy this time, Heph.
>Be Jeph >Make a webcomic about indie bands and the nerds who like them >Flanderize every character >systematically burn every character trait that might cause tension except for 'general anxiety' >can't risk angering the fans of that character by putting them in the wrong or causing the 'wrong' kind of drama >stab hand after causing the 'wrong' kind of drama >twice >make no improvement to artistic skill in last ten years >characters no longer grow or struggle, they simply trip over one pot of gold after another >side project gets abandoned when it becomes too difficult and no one likes it >can't develop characters, only introduce new ones and give old ones personality overhauls >can't quit because it's the only thing that's made him money >it's only redeeming qualities are being readable and being early
Jeph must be in hell. Sure he's pulling in an easy $150k a year, but this is clearly no longer the passion project it once was. Imagine living in a prison you made yourself. You know every brick, wall, and bar because you put them there. There is not a step that occurred in this process that you weren't an active participant in, and yet you remain trapped.
How? It's the most important part, it's what explains every facet of this testament to quality controlled blandness. In terms of artistic commodities sandblasted into a marketable slurry it's second only to Garfield in scope and intensity.

you always forget that he's making way more now.
he's probably around the 500 mark all things considered
>Jeph must be in hell. Sure he's pulling in an easy $150k a year, but this is clearly no longer the passion project it once was.
i would gladly give up my artistic integrity to make 150k for ten hours of work a weel
yeah
literally just have an alternate comic with a different story going on at home that's just for you and anyone else you want to share it with for your artistic integrity and then churn out the money maker
jeph probably has entire sketchbooks filled with Jimbo adventures and whatever Raven went off to do
Either the alimony is brutal or he's phenomenally good at wasting money, because it would not be difficult to retire after a few years making the sort of cash he does. Keep in mind that the patreon money is only a single income stream. He's got merch and ad revenue as icing on that cake.
Raven. Show that she's been at Cubetown for years and is high up in the organization. She hasn't showed up 2500 strips and wasn't even written off, just stopped being mentioned.
Emily. She accidentally got a job there when she misdialed ordering pizza. She's the director of human resources, a job whose sole responsibility is putting up flyers reminding the robots of things that will result in human deaths.
Whatever did happen to Raven? I recently read from 515 (cute edge hannelore) that anon posted all the way up to current page, but I did so in less than a day and many details are fuzzy.
Last I remember she was working in coffee of doom and then hannelore was working there? Also what happened to that other chick that was working there previously (not the alcoholic one)
Also what happened to the pizza girl-look alike that was there?
>pizza girl look alike
I looked it up. She stopped appearing in the comic, then Jeph wrote a bonus where she lost her leg to her pet dino. >inb4 4 antz

A cyborg leg would require a transdermal socket anchored to bone. Clinton's robot hand probably required multiple surgeries and months of healing just for the mounting hardware.
i think raven and emily might still work there, but never show up in panel. i'm pretty sure penelope left to be with her boyfriend or something? and then raven, who previously quit, got rehired. don't quote me, i reread this from the beginning myself last month and the details have already slipped away

and raven cause i missed this guy talking about her
>The Cube is where yesterday's characters have gone >Steve is the corporate manprostitute >Pizza Girl works the cafeteria >Raven is the top dog in the research department >Sara made it into HR after figuring out how to be upfront with people while respecting feelings >Gay Boss is upper management >Real Marten is working there after having been secretly kidnapped and replaced with a robot double to find out how much personality they can remove from a human before their peers become suspicious >His title is still 'Office b***h'
I take it all back, Jeph. The payoff was worth it, and I nominate you for webcomic king
>One of the main projects at Cubetown is the simulation of virtual worlds (like the weird space trees in Alice Grove) and Cubetown employees are used as volunteers for brain scanning and uploading >A perfect virtual copy of Wherever, Massachusetts is created, populated by all the comic's old characters >The entire story becomes recursive
I mean, she could just tell Claire that she knows Aurelia through Clinton. Granted, that'd probably make Claire more suspicious, but I'm pretty sure as long as Faye, Bubbles, or Emily don't get involved Spooky can present herself reasonably. I forget, does that instance of Spooky live in the building or no?
Yay for Yay
I can’t tell if they changed their hair during the timeskip.
Goths are always drama queens.
>no h*mans
>no tr*nnies
Not Terrible.
Call me a bit slow but I just realized that Yay is the new Hannelore.
In what way? Being quirkyTM in an abstract way that allows them to be equally hyper-competent and ruinously dysfunctional depending on the punchline?
>being super wealthy millionaire with untold power over others and potentially being evil overlord (either potentially becoming one or inheriting the position) with no previous real friends that connects with straight man (architype, not a real straight male) slowly learning how to be "normal" while increasing their friend count and slowly learns the power of friendship and to potentially use their powers for good (or more likely not at all) in order to blend in and learn concept of social awareness.
You're describing literally every character he's introduced since 2010
meanwhile...
hey it's steve!

But if we let this comic die then what would be post, huh?
Yeah, didn't think this one through did you?

To be fair, getting intel on Cubetown is one of the few times Yay is more able to help than the average person.
>it's bringing the robutts back to the foreground so whatever
i don't care for the a.i.'s at all though
Reminder that robutts are superior to humans in every way and only humans that should be allowed to stay are Hannelore and Sven.
pls link full art - I am woefully destitute of QC lewds despite how often they are posted

honestly if Jeph could just make the strip about porn everything would be better

i always forget that part

It's not for a broad audience. It's for identity politic freaks who can't read a comic that isn't at LEAST 80% LGBT.
How do these people have money? Probably your tax dollars.
Same way chuds do, it's mommy and daddy's money
you always forget that he's making way more now.

He tried it, but it went to shit. He's a one-trick pony, like those bands who made 1 hugely popular song and are now cursed to play it forever
oooooooh no
he can cry in to his piles of cash
bank it and retire
Honestly there's easier ways to make 150k with ten hours of work a week. Have you considered data engineering?

Merch and ad revenue is split with his ex, IIRC.
Padma, just for the cheap drama.
>divorce rape
This is the one thing that keeps me from offing myself over the fact that I haven't got married yet.
The ex almost certainly made the comic what it was. He admitted he ran them by her and she made improvements.
Look at what happened since she left. A definite decline.
>Jeph must be in hell. Sure he's pulling in an easy $150k a year
You know how to make a man long for perdition.
What forgotten human character should he bring back just to frick with the audience?
Raven. Show that she's been at Cubetown for years and is high up in the organization. She hasn't showed up 2500 strips and wasn't even written off, just stopped being mentioned.
I was thinking even further back. Sara. Just out of fricking nowhere. Don't even clarify who she is for a few pages and let people figure it out.
Emily. She accidentally got a job there when she misdialed ordering pizza. She's the director of human resources, a job whose sole responsibility is putting up flyers reminding the robots of things that will result in human deaths.
Pizza-girl. Got the job while delivering a pizza that someone ordered as a prank.
Hell, why not bring back all of the old forgotten cast.
