>racks up higher kill count than all Sopranos characters combined
>brands his employees like cattle
>is presented as a wholesome homestead ye olde American frontier values man
What is Sheridan smoking?

What is Sheridan smoking?
The normal people of that valley would probably be terrified of him in reality. A man who owns half the state, has his fingers in every political office and who sends his goons to beat up or murder anyone who crosses him.
These types of characters were always depicted as a villain in old films and novels.
Now that you mention it, Costner's character is basically the villain in the classic western Shane.
A lot of western villains were cattle barons trying to build their empires through backhanded and murderous means.
Plenty of Americans were murdered for or taxed out of their land, especially after the civil war
I think they tried to show him as the villain, but the vibe changed around the end of season 2. John was so crazy he branded Kaycee because he wanted to marry a girl without his permission and Beth was so afraid of him she decided sterilization was a better option than having a kid.
Yellowstone would be really dark, but I don't know what happened.
Beth thought she was getting an abortion, not getting sterilized, hwo did you miss such a huge plot point anon?
Beth decided to get an abortion and Jamie pressured her to get the whole thing because the clinic only did the full job.
And Jamie never explains himself kek
Pretty based actually you think about it
WRONG
Jamie took Beth to an abortion clinic on the reservation, whose policy is if you get an abortion you also get sterilized as well, Beth had no idea until after the procedure
I can’t take this show seriously, because something like that happening in real life would lead to an absolute shitshow. She would be justified in murdering those doctors, and someone who was branded against their will would also be justified in murdering whoever did it.
No one got branded against their will moron and yes the writing is atrocious it gets better though
>Beth had no idea until after the procedure
Whose fault is that? The whole scene is bullshit. That reveal is about the moment the whole show dove off the cliff into daytime soap tier melodrama.
Also the whole tough cowboy bullshit got tiresome quick.
Just because he’s the protagonist doesn’t mean he’s good
Taylor Sheridan is a hack
This show was simply so he can larp as a cowboy and parade his show horses around
Some of the most terrible writing I have ever seen
In real life, the federal government would have arrested him in the 90s
The first session is a cocaine fueled fever dream
Season 2 is by far the best
They never mention the dead brother kek
The first season is the Room with cowboys tier
Taylor Sheridan is the Tyler Parry of liberal red state transplants
the fricking scene with the Medical examiner and the Chinese tourists in was Troll 2 territory
Indelible in the hippocampus
They do later in series
Becks are good antagonists, but s3 is my personal favorite.
>the two rapists getting rekt in the horse trailer and Jamie telling the girl's dad "80 years ago we could have hung them, but today this is the best I can do."
>Moe sniping the murdering rapist
>all the ranchers coming to Kayce's office to thank him for killing the cattle rustler
>coastie land developers coming in and building shit to draw in coastie refugees
He's justified in killing them.
>incredibly woke series wrapped in a thin veneer of conservatism
americans really are on another level of stupidity
Yes
stupid sexy girlboss daughter is worse
I can’t for the life of me see why this show is so popular
Boomslop show.
>season 1
>John ordered Rip to murder a random cowboy who worked with him because he probably saw too much
>season 3
>John just left the branded Jimmy move to Texas because "we're familia"
I’m not sure what you are getting at
The reason is because jimmy can be trusted
This show makes me upset. Kino setting, kino theme, good actors, good budget but absolute garbage creator/writer negating everything else
>good actors
not really
Did you notice that every relationship problem gets solved by fricking in a tent?
