this. 1 is so kino bros. i used to write NOC LIST on all my CDs
Meme opinion
They get better everytime.
I rank them very high.
2 > 1 > 3
the rest of them sort of blur together and aren't worth watching.
>the rest of them sort of blur together and aren't worth watching.
Still somehow ranks 3 and thinks it's memorable
It has the best villain and probably the only time Ethan Hunt's life actually felt like it was in danger.
still can't believe trump was in 2 lmao
I don't remember seeing him in it at all.
He’s talking about the Home Alone
Only the original De Palma movie is actually a good movie. 2 and 3 are both terrible. 4 is the IP reinventing itself for the capeshit generation. I guess you could call it lighthearted and fun. Doesn`t take itself too seriously, there is no drama or emotional compromise either but it has Léa Seydoux as a pretty sexy femme fatale so i guess it gets some points for that. 5 and 6 are mostly on that same line but are more forgettable.
How was that scene able to both be so moronic if you waste even a second to think about it, yet have such tension and be instantly iconic?
The only one I've seen is Fallout. It was great when Henry Cavill was in the scene. Everything else was dog shit.
1>6>4>3>2>5
the ones with rebecca ferguson > everything else except 2 >>>>>>>>>>>> 2
literally the plebbest and most pedestrian of all the actresses in the series
it was the legs and motorcycle
6 > 4 > 5 > the rest
is the plot in the new movies connected or can i just pick any of them? last one i saw was 3rd one and it was over a decade ago
At the end of 4 they introduce some ideas used in 5 and 6, it’s literally a line at the very end. don’t want to spoil anything. you could watch 6 without 5. They’re basically standalone with little details or references pulled from older ones.
doesn't matter, they recap what's necessary but it's worth watching in order if you got the time
The plot in any MI film these days is mostly just an excuse to move Ethan Hunt from one ridiculously over the top stunt to the next. They basically don't matter and I honestly don't think anyone could tell you what any of the characters' respective deals, motivations, or their roles in the plot are beyond "they're with Ethan" or "they're against Ethan"
how about a ranking of cruise's rizz in every movie
2 >>>>>> everything else
The De Palma movie is like 3 movies in one. Noir, spy thriller, and action movie. Love it.
1>6>5>4>3>2
The Mission Impossible game was kino as frick
If you put 2 last and anything other than 1 first you're wrong.
2>3>1>6>5>4
Best to worst
I appreciate what Tom is doing with all the action flicks, especially top gun, but I'd like it if he went back to making kino again like magnolia, eyes wide shut, vanilla sky, a few good men, or collateral.
1>2>dogshit>the rest
Fallout is by far the best
2<1<3<4<5<6
best action franchise of all time
6 > 5 > 4 > 1 > 3 > 2

Listen gays, the chimera virus beginning is not canon to the film. It was an insert by moronic executives
Exciting that frick up makes it a perfect film
I don't care for the romance
I don't care for the villain
The action doesn't match the character or the rest of the series
Shame
John Woo is one of the greatest action directors of all time
Should have just stayed in Hong Kong
How can this series be so irrelevant? First one had a big cultural impact, second one was so goofy that people still talk about it today, but the rest? People talk more about le wholesome Tom Cruise stunts that about the movies. So irrelevant
1 > 4 > 3 > 2 > (soulless)
notice how none of the advertising for 7 explains a plot because there isn't one, the franchise has devolved into stunt movie
1>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>2(for the memes)(virtually identical movies)
I honestly don't even remember them but I don't hate them either. Tom Cruise really stepped it up in these movies.
6>1>5>4>3
2 is unwatchable and not even worth ranking
5>6>1>3>4>2
But they all rule
1>4>2>watching paint dry>3
Haven't seen the rest yet.
Only seen the first, are the mission impossible movies the only bad Cruise movies then?
1 is an actual movie by an actual director not just bland Tom Cruise fodder like the new ones. 2 is a Hong Kong action film but with white people, hence the confusion from general audiences. 3 is ugly mountain dew cheetos filmmaking.
>2 is a Hong Kong action film but with white people, hence the confusion from general audiences
face/off already exists and that's better in every way.
Won't deny that. I don't think any of his American films are that great though. He was restricted by having to stick too close to the script.

every other opinion is wrong
